RJOh's response to my post above was, "If your simulations had showed them how to win, maybe they would have been more interested."
He was absolutely right!
Any system devoid of ' Random' concept is tentative. The concept should not be discarded , why build a system to PREDICT if one is soo certain? why backtest on historical data?, sure, you can't do 'Post-Test', why not? I am not fixated on algorithms , I have had enough of it , I've posted different systems(Actually methods) which have had good reviews. I had the break some months ago while delving into the concept of ' Randomness' (not the definition!) . For the Novice of this game, if you're in for purely fun and entertaiment ,then build your logic around HIT Ratios, else all that matters is the PRIZE RATIO!

I haven't seen any reports of declines in rates of return from any state lotteries either.
Have you?
That's because you haven't been looking. It shouldn't ever happen but sometimes it does. When the rates of return started to decline for Ohio's Super Lotto years ago, it was discontinued. It's just one of many state games that was discontinued or changed over the years when their profit declined.
Didn't you read what happened to Massachusetts' WindFall game last year after it was exposed how big spenders were exploiting its features to make a profit?

RJOh,
Are you trying to tell us that states are discontinuing games due to STATE LOSSES brought about by "system" players "beating the odds?" If you are, I'd like to see some proof. I think you will find their reasons are not at all what you are implying. A good case in point is the one you brought up, the Massachusetts Cash Winfal game. Syndicates of gamblers took advantage of a poorly designed game and won by buying massive numbers of tickets when the lower tier prizes were inflated through their flawed parimutuel rules. These people didn't win a nickel by selecting numbers in any way resembling the VooDoo suggested by people here like Stack47 and Ronnie316. And Massachusetts MADE MORE MONEY!!!
"Lottery officials found out about the loophole in 2010 or possibly earlier, but didn't do anything about it because the gamblers generated $16 million in revenue for the Massachusetts lottery, according to the report."

I was responding to your comment "I haven't seen any reports of declines in rates of return from any state lotteries either", it didn't include why there was a decline. Are you now saying you meant to add "because of system players?"

He wants to teach math to the average lottery player who hands a clerk a ten dollar bill and asks for $10 worth of QPs and to the system players that gives a clerk a play slip with $10 worth of self picks.
