Re: coins......

There was a game at a casino in Vegas called The Park called 2-Up. People loved this game, it was incredible how popular it was. They had a small pit as if it was something you'd see at a zoo or wildlife place. There were three people all dressed as Aussies, one guy in a bush hat calling the game and two very good looking females in safari clothes.

The females each had a paddle and a coin and tossed the coin up in the air and then it landed on the paddle. There were only three possible results, two heads, two tails, or one of each. That was it.

I forget what the payoffs were, probably even money and some kind of house edge built in, but the game was very popular.

So was the casino while it lasted. Guys were bringing gym clothes to work and telling their wives they were going to 'the park' after work.

Green laugh

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Combinations of numbers are found in all Jackpot Games.  I find these combinations & put them into Groups.  The Pattern that is formed within these Groups is when all the related numbers within a given Group come together to form 1 set of numbers.  If they haven't already hit in a single line, history tells me they will eventually hit.  When?  Who Knows?  But, it will happen.......................  Question Everything !!!!

Coin tosses in real-life are actually biased to the side of the coin they are flipped from even if the coin is unbiased.

You can increases your chances of getting the jackpot by parlaying winnings.

The most optimal strategy in roulette (if you must play) is to bet the lesser of your entire fortune or the amount you desire to gain, on a single red/black bet.

My random factoids for the day.

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

Yes, you're correct. Those are two different scenarios. Flipping the same coin over and over again is one thing, throwing a bunch of coins in the air is totally something else.

Rarely will you toss (5) coins in the air and have them show one side when they land.

In fact, a news reporter years ago was talking about the high odds of hitting a JP by using that same analogy, but on a larger scale. He said in order to hit a 53 number JP lottery, it would be equivalent to throwing 26 quarters in the air and they all land on the same side. He said try doing that with only 5 quarters and you'll see how difficult it is.

But again, you're comparing two different events which are not compatibale. The first toss of the coin is truly 50/50, but once you flip the coin more than once, and the coin continues to favor one side over and over, it's no longer a 50/50 chance. But once you do any event more than once in your lifetime, that event will always try to even itself out. You may see 9 in a row heads, but if you look at, let's say a 10 hour event and count both sides, you'll see they're about even.

He said in order to hit a 53 number JP lottery, it would be equivalent to throwing 26 quarters in the air and they all land on the same side. He said try doing that with only 5 quarters and you'll see how difficult it is.

        That is not correct.

There can never be a true predictor of lottery numbers drawn. Each draw is an absolute event , reliant on no other influences from the past .

The only way to improve your odds of winning , is to buy more tickets and no, buying two tickets does not halve the odds of winning. The only other way to improve your chances of winning is to wheel sets of numbers , but even that does not change the odds against any of your six number combos being drawn.

In fact, a quick pick has exactly the same odds of being drawn  as a so called  "system' generated ticket.

I play the horses on a semi pro basis and it never ceases to amaze me how many people fork over hard earned cash for a system that picks winners. ( same with the lottery.).

Think about it, if you had the winning lottery system  would you sell it to other punters ?. of course not, .

Bottom line, no matter how many tickets you buy the odds change very little against your number being drawn.

I have to disagree.  G-D bless America having the right STILL  to agree to disagree lol. A

most EVERY week I predict 1 to 3 numbers correct no matter which game I decide to concentrate, study and play.  did you notice I said study. If you do not study for your test in school you are likely to fail.  I do admit this is a game of luck but an awfully lot of skill goes into those serious about playing.  My world consist of G-D, family, our cafe and beating this game. Nothing Else really. For the past 9 months I have studied these numbers till I dream about them. During hypnosis I came up with 4 out of 4 WINNING numbers for the Two Step. Missed the bonus ball. I had 20 and it was 2 so I can't feel to bad since 20=2

Of course, this is just my opinion ....

Especially to you, it's the only one that counts.

The real odds for any lottery game is the number of tickets you buy before you win.

Statical odds of 1 in a billion don't mean much to the  person that wins on their first

play.  The odds never helped me win anything.
