    IOU means nothing.

Someone else mentioned this, and I agree, that winning a jackpot and taking the annuity is taking a risk that the same thing could happen. 20 or 30 years is a long time and who knows what might happen to the money owed.

I wouldn't stop playing, but I wouldn't like it. I like to mix it up.

        I typically like to play about 60% QP's and 40% self-picks.

I voted yes, because, I've got 507 combo every way as a quick pick for the past 8 months, and it has not shown yet.

Beginning to think quick picks are a gimmick.

          Good Luck.

              yeah, we know the feeling.

that's why we tend not to get quick picks.

on a side note from the above experience, here's another self pick winner.

we suspect a portion of the 'No' votes are nothing more than lottery industry butt-plugs skewing the results.

yeah, you go right on ahead and keep telling us that.

My greatest accomplishment is teaching cats about Vienna Sausage. When I need a friend, all I need do is walk outside, pop open a can, and every little critter in the neighborhood drops by to say "Hi!"

The 2+1 match on the L4L ticket is a $25 winner. Cheers the game pays better for the small prizes. PB pays $7 while MM pays $5 for 2+1

                  That money's gone fo ever

MO lottery website reports that only 15.9 percent of pick-3 tickets are QP's.

I agree, must be some butt-plugs skewing the results.

Most people play quick picks, but I think the lottery would lose a significant number of players if the purchases had been restricted to only quick picks.  Some players like to pick birthdays or numbers from fortune cookies.  Honestly, most of the people who win the powerball jackpots won by quick pick anyway.  I think the reason why most powerball wins were quick pick is not only because most ticket purchases are quick pick, but honestly, the game is so random that it is only fitting that a randomly selected combination wins most of the time.

Smart lottery winners form trust to claim their winnings.  They send an attorney to the lottery headquarters to claim the prize in trust, so that ONLY the name of the trust is revealed.  And they tell NO ONE, especially relatives.

If you ever win a lottery and you are single, the only person you should ever marry is someone who was truly in love with you BEFORE you won the jackpot!
