  so for example in a lottery 405 you need the central trio from 02 to 39 you will have the central trio, then put the number on the left and on the right to complete the 5 numbers in the example of 40/5

  I agree. Give the same data to a group working individually and you'll get many different answers all with a likelihood (percentage) of occurring.

  Number are always going to behave like mischievously misbehaved children.  There's really no telling what they will do next.  But an attentive Mother who delivers a keen eye over her child instinctively knows when their ready for a nap.  If you watch your States game close enough you can very well get the instinct of a lurking mother.  I'd like to think that all the predictors here are loving numbers and predicting from instinct after observation.  Some of them do really well at too. 

  Personally, I color code, assign categories and play the averages.  I had about 13 real money box hits last year.  I think Pick 3 players are always going to lose more than they win. Just as I did last year.  But I only play $10 a week on the Pick 3 Game.  That is all I can afford to lose and still have fun playing.  The house is always against you.  Ponies and Sports are probably your best bets to play. But,

  If I didn't love these dang numbers so much I probably wouldn't watch them unfold and try to predict their next appearance; and plus, the task of keeping track of the results keeps my brain in shape.  Honestly, I stay away from the expensive straight wagers and stay focused on the 220 unique number combinations. 

  I watch, wait and wager.

  I look at both the Midday and Evening Games against each other. This allows me to eliminate more numbers in the pool to play.  And from observing what I've recorded month to month for the Ohio Pick 3 Game since 2011, here is what I know to be true of the Ohio pick 3 game:

  1. there will be more days each month in which a number that came out in the Midday Game will show up again in the Evening Game. I call it a SHARED DAY and highlight the number shared in yellow.  In a no share, I color code BLUE. (see image below)
  2. In order to predict for the Midday game, the same goes for the Night Game over into the next days Midday draw (hence the bold boxes in my grid below) as this pattern happens half the times a month as well. I also know
  3. more than half the time each month a number from the same game in the previous draw will show up again in the next draw. I enter that number in RED to show it is the number REPEATING.  I know,
  4. that there are 81 unique medium sum single combinations that are going to show up more than low or high sum combinations. And,
  5. I also know that there are on average 50 unique combinations every year that won't show up, and that
  6. some combinations will repeat up to 6 times a year, while others 5 times a year, and other 4 times a year, and so on and so on.  For instance, the unique combinations 029 and 067 have both shown up twice in the Ohio game this January 2023 as of 18th.  Last January 2022, the combinations 038, 147, 234 and 467, and 478 all showed up twice across both games in one months time. 

  In addition to color coding the draws accordingly, I also keep a count of the SUMS unfolding; i record counts of the Numbers by positions to see what is running hot and cold; and give each draw a count in one of 8 categories across the 2 scenarios of SHARED (YELLOW) and NO SHARED DAYS (BLUE). 

  By assigning each draw a category ---such as SHARED REPEAT SINGLE (SRS) and counting them as they go, I am able to see what's happening and bet on the flip.  I can even workup all the combinations that will fall under each category and make a call on which to play based on best bet for my money.

  ...and All this work, and I still get it wrong, but it also helps me to get it right.  The best bets are when you think the day will flip to a NO SHARE NO REAP DAY where you can take out at least 3 numbers from your pool that showed in the Midday draw, and even more if you think there will be no repeating number from the game before.  By labeling the each draw with a category it falls under, I can also use a combination filter to gather the combinations in their respective category and see which is the best to play for my betting dollar.

  Almost every lottery player is going to lose more than the win, regardless of the game. The only exceptions are the lucky few who hit jackpots (assuming they are not players who spend millions on the lottery). That's how the games are designed. Otherwise the state would not profit.

  Way over simplified. Yes, we know if we chart the totals from each position the 3 middle numbers produce a delta. We also know the outside numbers will be closer to the ends.
  
  Any number of people here (myself included) have taken the best hitting 5 to 10 numbers in each position and compared those to the winning sets. Haven't seen one declared a winning method yet, but it shows some wins here and there. 
  
  Look at your own game and see why. You get an all low draw, all high draw, a draw with missing sections, a draw with everything in one small section......ect. The best hitting numbers don't hit together often enough to pay off.
  
  But you only have to win once if the pots big enough. Try it and see.

From there it took a hard turn into a wager applied to a belief in pressure applied to an enclosed fluid into a triangle. Now it's about the ancient lottery system where genes get sorted into gametes independently of one another. And if that's not enough we got an offer for free Keno projections only.

  Saw where one of the last lotteries with live ball drawings overheard some of the ping pong balls arguing over who was closest to the central range of the gauss curve. Security was called when before a fight started.

  Agreed.  When I use to tend bar in Jersey City, the property was a block up from Holland Tunnel NY Exit side with a Lottery Kiosk and a C Liquor license which meant it could only sell soft and hard alcohol from over the counter with customers seated at a 14 seat bar.  It was an extremely very busy place.  We needed 4 on staff during peak times of the day.  Anyhoo, I learned that way too many people on their way back into Jersey from their jobs in New York loved to put down a 'pint of something' for the ride home.  In between ringing up liquor sales we punched out tickets for the number games.  I couldn't believe what people were laying out for pick 3 tickets, and daily to boot.  Always holding the same list of numbers. Don't get me started what some spent when the big games had big payouts.  We needed someone just for the lottery kiosk. 

  People love their numbers --- I have always had a flare for them but never spent more than I could afford to lose.  You might find funny that THREE NUMBERS anagrams into HR BEMUSE RENT.  The HR stands for Human Resource, but the anagram makes more sense if you switch them around, RH BEMUSE RENT.  I've witnessed too many people actually spend what they must of just made for their day in New York.

  Some lotteries average almost a $1 million in daily pick 3 sales and 1/2 million in daily prize payouts. There probably are a few players showing profit.

  Check out the my state Pennsylvania lottery results for treasure hunt. Look at the winning numbers starting 1/12/23 and follow 11, you will observe every time lately when 11 is in the last winning number 12 comes in the next draw. Every number in most lottery games behave like that. If you take your time follow individual numbers in the last draw you will observe a pattern. Do you notice after every few years the lottery operators increase their numbers? Pattern starts to get very noticeable so add more numbers to dissolve the pattern. I have observed lottery is not a raffle, it's a computer generated numbers but not random as they make us to think. Try looking at your state lottery and you will see a pattern. Especially games that are played every day.

  I won't say that I am recovering from "Lottery Filter Delusion" yet, but I might have found a way to treat the addiction.  The new treatment lets me hold onto the Core Belief that Past Draws do influence the Next Draw.  Like any addict, the thought of running the Filter Maze in my Brain smolders like a piece of Coal frozen in time about to burn out, I know it's there but I can resist the temptation today because of the New Treatment Program.   In due time I will no doubt realize that I have only added to the Addictive Load, but for the present it feels like something I HAVE TO DO!.
