Democratic strategist James CarvilleReuters

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville has been hired as a Fox News contributor.

The former Bill Clinton adviser will join the network to provide political commentary. Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming, announced the move on Thursday.

"James' successful and storied career in politics over several decades is an enormous asset to Fox News," Shine said. "We are privileged to have him lend his breadth of experience, wit and dynamic perspective on the network."

Carville helped lead Bill Clinton's successful 1992 presidential campaign; he continued to serve as a senior political adviser in the Clinton White House.

Carville went on to work as a consultant, and also as a political contributor at CNN.

Carville is currently a political science professor at Tulane University. He has written several books, including with his wife, GOP strategist Mary Matalin

n an interview, General Norman Schwarzkopf was asked if he thought there was room for forgiveness toward the people who have harbored and abetted the terrorists who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks on America.
His answer was classic Schwarzkopf.
The General said, "I believe that forgiving them is God's function... OUR job is to arrange the meeting."

The Los Angeles Times reports that once Obamacare customers navigate the confusing websites and pay the (often higher) premiums, they face a new problem: many doctors do not accept Obamacare insurance policies. It tells the story of a cancer patient who was turned away at the oncologist's office, and was only seen by a doctor once state regulators came to her rescue. Her story is not alone: millions will face the same problem.

There are two reasons patients will be turned away: one that President Barack Obama hid, and one that he lied about. The first is that there is a shortage of doctors. There simply are not enough doctors (or nurses) to see a population of patients that grows bigger, suddenly, by some 30 million people (in theory). The second reason: insurance companies have to cut certain doctors and hospitals out of their plans in order to keep prices within a reasonable range while still covering all the things the law requires. So you can't necessarily "keep your doctor."

The LA Times' story about a cancer patient is particularly ironic, considering that Obama used cancer as a prop to sell the legislation--both to tout the law's coverage for pre-existing conditions, and to tell misleading stories about how his own mother was abandoned by insurance companies when she was being treated for cancer.

As the Washington Examiner and Breitbart News reported last December, as many as 70% of California doctors will not participate in Obamacare. That is a reality many patients are discovering as they lose insurance policies they once enjoyed and discover that the doctors in their new Covered California policies are little more than "phantom networks." They are victims of Obamacare's cost controls--and they are finding out "what's in it."

If you ever testify in court, you might wish you could have been as sharp as this policeman.
He was being cross-examined by a defense attorney during a felony trial. The lawyer was trying to undermine the police officer's credibility .....
Q: 'Officer --- did you see my client fleeing the scene?'
A: 'No, sir. But I subsequently observed a person matching the description of the offender, running several blocks away.'
Q: 'Officer, who provided this description?'
A: 'The officer who responded to the scene.'
Q: 'A fellow officer provided the description of this so-called offender. Do you trust your fellow officers?'
A: 'Yes, sir. With my life.'
Q: 'With your life? Let me ask you this then officer. Do you have a room where you change your clothes in preparation for your daily duties?'
A: 'Yes sir, we do!'
Q: 'And do you have a locker in the room?'
A: 'Yes, sir, I do.'
Q: 'And do you have a lock on your locker?'
A: 'Yes, sir.'
Q: 'Now, why is it, officer, if you trust your fellow officers with your life, you find it necessary to lock your locker in a room you share with these same officers?'
A: 'You see, sir, we share the building with the court complex, and sometimes lawyers have been known to walk through that room.'
The courtroom EXPLODED with laughter, and a prompt recess was called. The officer on the stand has been nominated for    this year's 'Best Comeback' line -- and we think he'll win.

IN GOD WE TRUST

A young New York woman was so depressed that she decided to end her
life by throwing herself into the ocean, but just before she could
throw herself  from the docks, a handsome young man stopped her.
"You have so much to live for," said the man. "I'm a sailor, and we
are off to Italy tomorrow. I can stow you away on my ship. I'll take
care of you, bring you food every day, and keep you happy."
With nothing to lose, combined with the fact that she had always
wanted to go to Italy, the woman accepted. That night the sailor
brought her aboard and hid her in a small but comfortable compartment
in the hold.
From then on, every night he would bring her three sandwiches, a bottle of red wine,
and make love to her until dawn. Three weeks later she was discovered by the captain
during a  routine inspection.
"What are you doing here?" asked the captain.
"I have an arrangement with one of the sailors,"
she replied. "He brings me food and I get a free trip to Italy ."
"I see," the captain says.
Her conscience got the best of her and she added, "Plus, he's screwing
me."
"He certainly is," replied the captain. "This is the Staten Island Ferry."

The United Way realized that it had never received a donation from the city's most successful lawyer.

So a United Way volunteer paid the lawyer a visit in his lavish   
office.  The volunteer opened the meeting by saying, 'Our research shows that even though your annual income is over two million dollars, you don't give a penny to charity.  Wouldn't you like to give something back to your community through the United Way?'

The lawyer thinks for a minute and says, 'First, did your
research also show you that my mother is dying after a long, painful illness and she has huge medical bills that are far beyond her ability to pay?'

Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbles, 'Uh... no, I didn't know that.'

'Secondly,' says the lawyer, 'did it show that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair and is unable to support his wife and six children?'

The stricken United Way rep begins to stammer an apology, but is cut off again.

'Thirdly, did your research also show you that my sister's husband died in a dreadful car accident, leaving her penniless with  a mortgage and three children, one of whom is disabled and another that has learning disabilities requiring an array of private tutors?'

The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, says, 'I'm so   sorry.  I had no idea.'

And the lawyer says, 'So, if I didn't give any money to them, what makes you think I'd give any to you?'

On Thursday's "Special Report" on the Fox News Channel, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer said President Barack Obama's use of executive orders would constitute impeachment ... if he were a Republican.

"You can have executive orders that implement already existing laws," Krauthammer said. "What Obama has done in the DREAM Act, which is exactly what you've talked about. Essentially he passed a law by executive order that the Congress had rejected, wouldn't pass, that is unbelievably unconstitutional. It's as if a Republican ran and said I don't like the capital gains tax, Congress rejects an abolition of that tax and then he orders the IRS not to collect it. People would be up in arms and would be impeaching. He's doing that over and over again on immigration. Drug laws, climate change and, of course, on ObamaCare which he's unilaterally altered lawlessly at least 15 times."

Remember that spiky-haired blonde fitness guru all over TV years ago?  Her famous line was "Stop the insanity!"  As a commonsense-thinking black conservative, I offer the same clarion call to fellow black Americans: "Stop the insanity!"

Why do you continue sleeping with the enemy, voting for liberal Democrats whose policies imply that you are inferior, stupid, and culturally immoral?  When the NAACP and Democrats claim that requiring a photo ID disenfranchises blacks, such implies we are stupid.  For the life of me, I do not understand why millions of blacks are not highly insulted by this absurd claim.  Do blacks fly?  Do blacks drive cars?  Do blacks cash checks?

When Democrats and liberals accept over 70% out-of-wedlock births and fatherless households as a cultural norm in the black community, I am offended.  And yet, I am called a sellout.

Liberal Democrats' policies and programs have destroyed the black family and continue to devastate the black community.  Meanwhile, blacks vote monolithically for Democrats and politically beat up anyone, black or white, who offers commonsense solutions.  For crying out loud, stop the insanity!

God forbid that a black person dare to think outside the liberals' we-be-simpleminded-blacks-in-need-of gov'ment-intervention-to-survive box.  Blacks becoming successful the old-fashioned way -- by earning it -- does not cut it with Democrats and liberals. Liberal media and Democrats grab such uppity blacks by their afros and politically drag their black derri�res kicking and screaming back to the liberal Democrat plantation.

There, such blacks are strung up in the public square with their naked backs exposed, made an example for any other conservative-leaning blacks contemplating their escape.  Beaten, battered, and broken black conservatives are flogged within an inch of their political lives with countless articles and operative pundits calling them a stupid n*****, Uncle Tom, and traitor to their race.

A prime example of a black overlord of the Democrat liberal plantation attempting to rein in a black escapee is North Carolina NAACP Chapter President Rev. William Barber.  Black race-baiters typically use Black History Month and Martin Luther King Day to trash America for purposes of extortion.

In celebration of MLK Day, Rev. Barber called black conservative and Tea Party American Senator Tim Scott a puppet, saying, "A ventriloquist can always find a good dummy."

Senator Scott is about applying commonsense solutions to issues plaguing our country.  Thus, once again, any black who does not view him- or herself as a victim of an eternally racist white America, entitled and in need of lowered standards and expectations, is a dummy, a tool of white Republicans -- a stupid self-loathing n*****.  This is not an exaggeration.

I have been called these names and worse by Democrats and liberals for many years every time I suggest that blacks stop having babies out of wedlock, stop dropping out of schools, stopping killing each other, stop blaming whitey, and assume personal responsibility for their lives.  To me, this is true black empowerment.

I do not know what it is going to take for black America to see the light -- to understand the betrayal of a majority of the modern civil rights coalition.  If these so-called advocates truly gave a hoot about blacks, they would celebrate extraordinary black conservative achievers such as former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and businessman extraordinaire Herman Cain.  These blacks should be held high for black youths to see what can be achieved in the greatest land of opportunity on the planet via education, hard work, and good choices.

And yet, these blacks are despised by the white liberals and black civil rights leaders.  Why?  In a nutshell, these blacks nuke the Democrats' and liberals' entitlement and big-government narratives.

So while black America believes that white conservative Republicans are burning the midnight oil plotting ways to keep blacks down, Democrats and liberals are the ones keeping blacks enslaved.

With the liberal mainstream media in the Democrats' back pocket as complicit liberal plantation gatekeepers, I will continue praying for divine intervention while pounding on the plantation masters' door.  Let my people go!  My fellow black Americans, it truly is time to stop the insanity.

n the eve of President Obama's State of the Union Address, a new poll from Washington Post-ABC News shows that fully 63 percent of Americans have either little no confidence Obama will make the right decisions. The public is evenly split on whether Obama is honest and trustworthy, with 49 percent of Americans answering in the affirmative, and 48 percent answering negatively.

A bare majority of Americans, 52 percent, feel Obama does not understand the problems of people like them � a shocking downward turn for Obama on an important likeability issue on which he dominated in 2012. A majority of Americans. 51 percent, also believe Obama is not a strong leader. His disapproval rating stands currently at 50 percent, with 41 percent disapproving strongly � only 23 percent support him strongly. 50 percent of Americans have an unfavorable impression of the president.

For perhaps the first time, Obama's personal popularity seems to be suffering from his inability to govern effectively. He is not being damaged by the NSA scandal, for example � a solid 59 percent of Americans think Obama either went too far or was just right in how he changed NSA policy in the aftermath of surveillance revelations. Instead, his personal popularity is dropping � a shocking development for a president who has largely relies on that popularity to push forward policy.
