Together we stand, divided we fall

2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

GOD is telling us that the same things that He did for Solomon he will do for us. He will heal America, forgive its sins, heal the land, heal the economy, and bless businesses who in turn will give people jobs if we turn from our wicked ways and pray sincerely to HIM. Then and only then will we hear from heaven.

Liar, Liar, Pants ..

A liar shall not go unpunished

What does it mean to tell a LIE? To say to others that you have done something without any proof is bearing false witness or a LIE. And to those that receive it as truth are just as guilty. Bearing false witness means to receive a lie as if were the truth. If you were not there to witness, and swear it to be true you in turn are a false witness. JESUS has a lot to say about LIARS and the consequences if it persists.

Proverbs Chapter 6

16 These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Proverbs 19:5 - A false witness shall not be unpunished, and [he that] speaketh lies shall not escape.

1 John 2:4 - He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Posers

Racists and Bigots are Posers. They are jealous and pathetic people that rant, pout, and complain. They misinterpret the Bible to fit their unrighteous existence, but they are no match with someone with Bible knowledge and correct interpretation. They try their best to pervert the Word of God with their own ungodly interpretations while trying to present themselves as Christians. They are lying wonders and very perverted in their thinking and actions. They are obsessed about the life style of homosexuals, which seems to be a central theme with all of them. People tend to make fun about the behavior that they are in to. All one has to do is observe some of the perverted comments made by some of the Posers and you will come to your own conclusion.

Study

Throughout history man has tried to justify their hatred and wrong doing by using the Lord’s name in vain. This is blasphemy when you lie on the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Keyes stated that “Jesus is the driving force behind Obama's impeachment “. He LIED. The driving force behind President Obama’s so-called impeachment is racist repubs and tea-party members. If the Lord had anything to do with it, he would not be begging for help. Hosea 4: 6 (KJV) states that “My people perish from a lack of knowledge.” It’s one thing to know your Bible Mr. Keyes, but it’s another thing to KNOW the GOD of the Bible.

Romans 8 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Timothy 2:15 King James Version (KJV)

15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

A Person of Contrast

Carroll O'Connor, better known as Archie Bunker, on the hit TV comedy, “All in the Family”, was one of the highest-rated shows on television from 1971 to 1979. Archie played the role of a conservative bigot. He poked fun at all the hypocrisy, misinformation, and bigotry that goes on with some so-called conservatives. Archie made the role very believable, but in reality Carroll O’Conner was the very opposite. Many of the so-called Far-Right still try to group people with labels such as Liberal, Moderate, Conservative, Ultra-conservative, Christian Conservative, Right-wing, Evangelical Christian Conservative, and tea-party, but when that person votes their conscience, they are just an American. The 2008 and 2012 elections was a good example of what can happen when people vote their conscience and not an agenda. While dealing with the loss of his son, O'Connor underwent heart surgery in 1998 to clear blockage in a cardiac artery, and in June 2001, O'Connor suffered a fatal heart attack. May he rest in peace.

Beware of the Pessimist...can be hazardous to your Faith

pes·si·mism
 (ps-mzm)
n.
1. A tendency to stress the negative or unfavorable or to take the gloomiest possible view: "We have seen too much defeatism, too much pessimism, too much of a negative approach" (Margo Jones).
2. The doctrine or belief that this is the worst of all possible worlds and that all things ultimately tend toward evil.
3. The doctrine or belief that the evil in the world outweighs the good.Beware of the PESSIMIST

Pessimism

The essence of Murphy's Law is that bad things happen because the universe is designed for bad things to happen. It's tough, but expect it. What does the Bible say?

First, we should expect bad things to happen. Satan is the god of this world (II Corinthians 4:4), and we live in "this present evil age" (Galatians 1:4, WEB). Peter tells believers not to be "astonished at the fiery trial" (I Peter 4:12, WEB). The Bible and Murphy's Law agree that bad things happen - but they disagree radically on why they happen.

By Murphy's Law, things go wrong because the universe is sadistic. From the Bible, we know that troubles can have a number of causes: testing us, helping us grow, correcting us when we stray, and others. We won't know all the reasons until we see the Lord. Through it all, though, we have this promise: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28, WEB).

Conclusion

Paul wrote an anti-Murphy's Law: "Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.... We rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: and hope doesn't disappoint us..." (Romans 5:1-5, WEB, emphasis added). He also wrote the first corollary, Romans 8:28, quoted above.

Although Murphy's Law is a very popular mindset - I tend to fall into it often - it is completely opposed to the truths in the Bible. Instead of, "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong," we should say, "Anything that can go right, will go right, and it will happen in God's perfect timing."

How to Deal with Negativity, Pessimism and Chronic Complaining

CHRONIC COMPLAINERS…

We all know them, those people within our lives and organizations who are negative… who seem to only see the worst in every situation and who would rather complain than seek a solution. Their constant negativity is a like a disease that infects everyone else around them, slowly robbing themselves and others of joy, happiness, success and opportunity.

Consider this…

  • The Gallup Organization has published reports that negativity costs US companies more than $300 Billion in lost productivity each year. And that doesn’t even take into account the ripple effect of negativity and it’s multiplied costs beyond the workplace (health, happiness, etc).
  • TrueJobs.com cited that in surveys the #1 cause of  office stress was coworkers and their complaining.
  • And then there are the common sense aspects of negativity and the impact that a negative team member can have on your customers, relationships and bottom line.

The list goes on and on…

But how do you deal with this negativity, pessimism and chronic complaining?

Here are 4 ways to begin:

1. Confront the Problem – The sad part is that many of these negative people don’t even realize that they are. The first step is to confront them, in a nurturing and kind way. Schedule some one on one time with them and be honest but be prepared for their push back as well. Give them tangible examples of what optimism vs. pessimism looks like in your setting, explain why solutions matter. Overcoming negativity, when you are negative, is not easy and if it’s someone who has promise then you’ll need to work with them to help them rise above.

2. Issue a No Complaining Rule – Get your team (home, work or school) together and let them know that from this day forward “No Complaining Rules” is in effect. You are going to be Solution Seekers instead of Complainers. Let them know that complaints in and of themselves are okay, IF they lead to a solution, but mindless chronic complaining on its own is a waste and just breeds negativity. Consider setting up a Solution Box where people can write ideas and suggestions on ways to improve things instead of just complaining about them. Read what people submit, implement the good ideas and reward or recognize people for their contributions. Doing so will begin to foster an environment of ideas and positive mindsets.

3. Develop Possibility Thinkers – You’ve probably heard the saying “A Rising Tide Lifts All Ships.” Well, the same is true here. If you take the time to invest in, hire and build up Possibility Thinkers (those people who look for solutions and opportunities) then their optimism and drive will spread and become contagious to others.

4. Be Willing to Weed Them Out – Despite our best efforts, sometimes people won’t change and if they don’t, you have to remove them so they don’t continue to contaminate everyone else. It’s often a tough decision but you can’t let one person drag everyone else down. Now, this works in a business or organization but not when we’re dealing with negative people in our families and lives. One would have to take a different approach with them altogether. Article By Daniel Decker

We all know someone that complains 24/7, 365 days a years and never offers a solution. Some go from year to year whining about the same things that happen the previous year. These type of people are avoided by other family members, and usually transferred, demoted, or fired from their job. SAD.

Hypocrisy>

What Does JESUS Say About Hypocrisy in the Bible?

If you walked down the street of a busy city and asked random people about Christians what do you think they would say? I would love to say that those people would have nothing but good things to say, but sadly that is not true. Unfortunately, the word that would be most commonly used probably wouldn't be loving, nice, compassionate or forgiving. Unfortunately, the word probably most often used to describe a Christian is hypocrite. That's not to say that I agree with that, but that's what a lot of people would say. So naturally I thought we should check out what the Bible has to say about hypocrites and hypocrisy.

Sometimes when looking up a certain topic in the Bible you can't find a place where the Bible specifically talks about it and you have just have to put two and two together. Hypocrisy or hypocrites is not one of those topics. The Bible talks about hypocrites a lot and nobody talks about hypocrites in the Bible more often than Jesus himself.

Jesus obviously frowned upon hypocrisy but what exactly is hypocrisy? There are a few different ways of being a hypocrite and each is shown in the Bible. The first type of hypocrisy can be found in Matthew chapter 6.

In verse 2 Jesus says, "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full." Jesus goes on to say, "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their rewards in full."

This is probably not the most common type of hypocrisy although you may know someone like the people described in these verses. This type of a hypocrite is somebody that actually does something good, but does them for the wrong reasons. It's not good enough to just pray to God or give to the needy, you must also have a good reason for it. A good Christian will pray because he wants to have a closer relationship with God or give to the needy out of compassion but a hypocrite will do these things for their own glory. A hypocrite will make sure that other Christians see them so they can brag about how good a Christian they are.

Another type of hypocrite can be found in Matthew chapter 7. Verse 5 says, "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

This example of a hypocrite is probably the most common example of a hypocrite. Mainly because this type of hypocrisy isn't really about being a Christian. This type of hypocrisy can be seen in anybody. Basically what this verse is talking about is that person A is telling person B about a flaw in them when person A is a hypocrite because they also have the same flaw. It basically would be like Lex Luthor walking up to Superman and telling him he should be nicer to people.

Like I said, this type of hypocrisy can be found in anybody, not just Christians, but how should a Christian act? A good Christian would first take a look at themselves and see if they have this flaw before calling somebody else out on it. If they also have that flaw then they should take care of it before they tell anybody else what to do. That is what Jesus is talking about when he says to remove the plank from your own eye.

If you're not being a hypocrite there is nothing wrong with confronting somebody with a problem they have but just like the hypocrites in the first example, you shouldn't do this in public. Talk to the person in private.

Both of these are examples of hypocrites and you probably know people like them but when people call Christians hypocrites they are usually referring to the third example. 1 John 2:4 tells us about this type of Christian. "Whoever says 'I know him' but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him."

It's pretty simple. This type of hypocrite is the type of person that claims they are a Christian but then doesn't act like it. They might attend church on Sundays even though the night before they were out doing sinful things. The Bible is very straightforward, these people are liars. You probably don't need the Bible to tell you that, it's pretty clear. In God's eyes people that claim to be Christians but don't act like it aren't "Christian hypocrites", they're just non-Christians. They were never Christians to begin with.

Of course God isn't saying, "if you ever break one single rule then that's it, you're a liar." It just means if you really are a Christian then you will make a genuine attempt to follow all of his commandments. We aren't perfect. Sometimes we'll make a mistake and unfortunately when we make that mistake a non-Christian will probably be there to call us a hypocrite because they love pointing them out. But as long as you keep on trying to follow God's commandments then you aren't a hypocrite, you're just human.

Time will prove Health Care Law successful

Health law not first new program with launch woes

By TOM RAUM | Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — Multiple problems have snarled the rollout of President Barack Obama's signature health care law.

But it's hardly the first time a new, sprawling government program has been beset by early technical glitches, political hostility and gloom-and-doom denouncements.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt faced heavy skepticism with his launch of Social Security from 1935 to 1937. And turbulence also rocked subsequent key presidential initiatives, including Lyndon Johnson's rollout of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965, Richard Nixon's Supplemental Security Income program in 1974 and George W. Bush's Medicare prescription drugs program in 2006.

Yet these programs today are enormously popular with recipients.

Obama and allies hope history will repeat itself with the health overhaul.

Opposition to programs that were created to benefit the American people were always met with uncertainty and anxiety...but in the long term proved to be well worth it. I believe the same thing will happen with the Health Care Law.
