Missouri House considers legislation to protect the identity of lottery winners
A bill to protect the identity of Missouri lottery winners is making its way through the legislative process.
Rep. Jay Mosley (R-Florissant) sponsored the bill to provide an added level of safety for individuals who win lottery prizes in the state.
The current practice is for prize winners to have their names posted to the lottery website to announce their winnings.
Mosley said the change is needed to give winners the option to stay anonymous.

Electronic NJ lottery ticket plan advances
Legislation that would allow people to buy New Jersey lottery tickets on the Internet and by other electronic means continues to advance in the state Assembly.
The Regulatory Oversight and Gaming Committee approved the measure this month and referred it to the chamber's Appropriations Committee, which hasn't yet scheduled a hearing on it. Net gambling ban bill set for Senate strife

Arkansas lottery players looking for their next big win might be granted the choice to claim their winnings anonymously after a bill protecting winners' identities passed in the Senate.
