Hey Luckyladie! No taxes on $1000 winners. You do have to claim it on your taxes though. I have never claimed at the airport because it is too hard to get in and out of. They have better hours though. I need to leave these alone for awhile and enjoy some of my winnings. GA lottery will turn on you very quickly. I was getting a $500 winner every week for about 2 months then hit a dry spell. That is when you give all of your winnings back. Good luck!

Congrats Risky! That was an awesome win. Also, glad to hear it is going to a good cause. Good luck in school. On a side note, the person who lost their $1,000 probably had unpaid child support, alimony or income taxes. The kicker for him is that the FL lottery will still issue him a W-2G for the $1,000 and he will owe taxes on the winnings even though he never received them.

When the day that comes, it better be well over $599 having to pay taxes for any gambling related win puts a little damper.

I think so too, but you are still on the hook for federal taxes if you win $600 or more.

Bought 5 more today at another store, 003-007 all duds, then got a $10 ga black won $20 then got a $20 taxes paid and won $20, left after that.
