The lottery is a joke. I have talked to numerous vendors and they really don't care. I am really wondering what is going on. As soon as it went to $868 million then to $900 I knew something wasn't right. Then $980 million and now a billion. This whole thing smells funny.

I think I read that on the lottery website at some point. But the number may have included vendors and vending machines. I'm sure your number is accurate if it was provided by the lottery.

Thank you Todd. That being said I don't understand why on their FB page when folks complained (like me) that the play slips weren't up to date and others complained the clerks did not know how to ring them up that they didn't just say the correct date. All they would tell you is sorry, we're working with our vendors to get the slips out AND to watch a video to learn how to play. I'm going to see if I can find that link!

These are inside jobs. Someone on the inside most likely from the company that manufactures these tickets have contacted these outsiders and are sending the winners to certain stores while also letting their cohorts know what roll and what number ticket. That is the only possible way unless someone within the Lottery's office itself is sending tickets to certain vendors for kickbacks. What's in the dark will eventually come to the light.

Lotteries rely very much, to the extent of often blindingly, on their lottery vendors and consultants. The failed $5 Monopoly Millionaire game is one example. Another is Texas Lottery original All or Nothing game which had no prize cap. Well that is until there was a near miss, which highlighted the problem, which should have been obvious from the start. However, again, lotteries rely mostly on vendors and consultants who often get paid a commission on sales; just see $$$. RNG draws are cheaper

I think the players are going to have the same problems that existed with Northstar. The more ways the state and vendors have to share profits, the lower the prize pool for players. Glad I don't buy tickets there.

I know when some one wins PB or MM or Calif SL, the lottery people show up and grab the video of it being sold and put up banners. In this case, as soon as he verified it, would they swoop in and grab the video? Or, would the store owner have tipped them off? Do vendors make money from winning scratchers? If so, why wd they have snitched? Oh, well, hope the guy prevails in his suit.

That is awesome. I wonder where they sell those tickets which vendors. $5 ticket I would def play and that was in the 40s range so I have heard that usually the first instant tickets any of them besides this one you might hit something first 10 then after that a win or loss.
