What an injustice done to this woman by both her husband and her parents.  They made a spectacle of that poor woman.

I hope she finds her peace in heaven!

I, too, hope she finds her peace in heaven.  I'm sorry for mankind who would starve a life to death.

I just hope this is what she would have wanted.  Can you imagine 15 years, unable to express that you just want to die?  Or maybe she wanted to live.

That is why everyone should have a living will..........I have mine, do all you have yours?  We take things for granted when we shouldn't.

Sandy, the judge will recognize a living will, but a living will is not legal in Mich. I, think Mich. uses DPOA for medical and financial.

I feel shame for the injustice done to her.  When the courts decided to withhold water and to feed her and decided she should die, they should have done the humane thing and gave her something to help her die sooner.  I cannot imagine the suffering she had to go thru before she had to wait so long to die.  Shame on our courts and shame on her husband.  So what if her family wanted to take her and care for her.  If all it was was taking her home and feeding her thru a feeding tube and keeping her clean and comfortable is not such a bad thing.  Who are we to decide when a person is suppose to die if they have not commited a crime of murder.  I hate to see what the future holds for all of us.  There are elderly people all over the United States in as bad or worse shape the her, so when are we going to start killing them off?

The courts had no business making that dicision regarding the feeding tube.

I, am very upset with the courts.  She had no paper work drawn up showing her wishes, and the court had their nerves to withheld her tube feedings.  Terri's rights was taken away.
