Hello JKing,

You can use the program, just load in any ASCII file of numbers and start experimenting (the only thing you can't do with the free version is save files, but you can save graphs).

    hi,

    open your data history in xl sheet .

    copy the colum for your first position ball .Paste it in new xl sheet.

    save it under name for exemple B1 for ball 1.

    Run VRA

    Cick on File goto Open signal...    a pop up window come up open the file

    u just save let's say B1

    the VRA start to load the file wait until it's ready.

    hit the key F10 on ur keyboard.

    set Training to Static

    set Tain from to1

    set Train to ur last draw number if u have 893 draws set it for that number

    set predict to one draw more than what u have here is 894

    set prdictor to Nearest Neighbor and Distance to Euclidean

    set Dimension to 8  and Delay to 8

    Click on button "Start Predictions"

    the program will predict your next number to be drawn in position 1 what we have load to

    the VRA.

    Do the same for the other balls.Goodluck

    the history data must be sorted so the oldest draw is at the top of the sheet let's say A1.

    Just play with different setting , discover and share with us your finding.

      OK ... so I tried this with the last 100 draws.  The "PREDICT FROM" was automatically set to 90.  I set everything as you stated above.  I hit the "Start Predictions" and ................. what am I looking at?????  I see lines going up and down on a bar line graph.  How do you tell what number or numbers this program is trying to predict???  PLEASE SPECIFY for dumbasses like myself!

      Thanks,

        Okay. First ensure the 'Predict from' and 'Predict to' settings are larger than 'Train from' and 'Train to' settings. The blue line is from the numbers you entered. The red line is the numbers you are predicting. The axis along the bottom of the graph is just the spacing between numbers. You need to read off your predictions by looking at the vertical scale on the left-hand side, labelled 'Actual & Predicted'. I find it helps to save the graph (click on 'Save graph' to save it as a BMP file), then load it into MSPaint and magnify it so it can be read more clearly. I hope this helps.

        Here are the Thunderball results I mentioned earlier. The predictor is Nearest Neighbour with Euclidean measure:

        I haven't yet analysed the (sixth) Thunderball itself, but I am expecting similar results. Note that now and again the model breaks down completely (hence the - ).

            I don't think that was a copy and paste there Nemesys,  so I sure do appreciate your time to do it.

              I tried a copyand paste at first, it came out a mess in the Message field.

              Time to put my money where my math is (or my math where my mouth is). For Saturday night's Thunderball main five balls:

              Dimension = 4, Delay = 17:  2, 7, 15, 20, 32

              Dimension = 4, Delay = 18:  2, 3, 6, 21, 28

              Dimension = 12 and Delay = 5 give 8, 14, 17 (but 14 came up three times in the prediction; it happens sometimes).

                  Hi Nemesys,

                  In total you are predicting 12 numbers out of 34 of a Pick 5 Lotto, here your odds:

                  1 correct: 1 in 4

                  2 correct: 1 in 3

                  3 correct: 1 in 6

                  4 correct: 1 in 26

                  5 correct: 1 in 352

                  Regards

                    The results for tonight's Thunderball draw are: 4 7 13 24 26 T-ball: 4

                    I only predicted 7 using the parameters I had decided on.

                    Regarding American lotteries, I would need a complete set of results from the first draw.

                      This time I was way off, but I stand by my assertion that RA is the way to go. The problem lies not in finding parameters which give results after the fact ("postdicting"), or finding which combination of Dimension and Delay is the best (the one that works most often), but knowing when to apply that combination. There is no pattern to the combinations. All I can do for now is keep applying the best three Dim/Del combinations to every draw, gathering data, and adjusting my choice of parameters accordingly.

                      I might get round to looking at the other UK lottery games, like Daily Play and Hotpicks, but it's going to take time (analysing just fifty draw results takes me hours).

                        Should the last draw be on top of the draw list or in the bottom?

                          hi,

                          open your data history in xl sheet .

                          copy the colum for your first position ball .Paste it in new xl sheet.

                          save it under name for exemple B1 for ball 1.

                          Here you go MW

                          It does take literally hours to check different methods, but it's fun

                            Ok. Thanks.

                            Seems like I didn't read the thread well enough.

                              OK!!!  Let's put this thing to the test!  I am going to compare this thing to random numbers selected straight from random.org to see which can predict the actual numbers more accurately ... or better so to say.

                              I ran this analysis against the Minnesota North Star Cash drawing (5/31).  I used the updated data and here is what it produced:

                              Dim = 17, Delay = 5:  8,4,7,20,30
                              Dim = 17, Delay = 4:  3,10,17,21,27
                              Dim = 16, Delay = 5:  8,4,15,20,28
                              Dim = 16, Delay = 4:  3,15,10,21,26
                              Dim = 15, Delay = 5:  8,4,23,20,28
                              Dim = 15, Delay = 4:  3,15,10,21,26
                              Dim = 14, Delay = 5:  8,7,15,20,28
                              Dim = 14, Delay = 4:  1,15,10,21,26
                              Dim = 13, Delay = 5:  8,7,18,20,28
                              Dim = 13, Delay = 4:  3,10,21,21,29

                              Now, feeding in the correct information to random.org, here are the random numbers that I received:

                              10,26,23,18,12
                              25,29,13,6,7
                              20,13,29,11,31
                              23,20,13,7,30
                              2,22,29,26,19
                              30,28,3,14,27
                              5,29,13,17,14
                              31,13,5,12,26
                              9,27,3,1,4
                              17,23,22,31,15

                              Now, let's see which system gives the most hits, thus the most money in return.  This test should be interesting and is very exciting!

                              Tune in tomorrow to see which system wins!

                              Good Luck,
