I had all 5 numbers but not even 2 on the same line. Now that sucks to not even get a free play out of it! GiveFive, I know you will be able to answer this question. Is it rare to have two sets of consecutives in the same draw?
NY216,
When I saw that two sets of sequentials it immediately struck me as being unusual too.
I have a spreadsheet of Take5 numbers that goes back two years to April of 2009. While I didnt check it to see if any drawing contained two sets of sequentials, I'm willing to bet that it doesnt. I dont recall seeing that situation before. I'm sure in the entire history of Take5 (dating back to 1992), it has happened before. Early in last December the 5,000th Take5 drawing was held, so I have to believe it's happened before, but I think it's rare.
When I get a chance, I'll look back thru my spreadsheet to see if I see it. It wont be too hard to spot because I color code the sheet. I post what I find here. GF

Here's some good news: Last nite there were 4 JP winners of $25,114 each. That means the total JP was $100,456. That in turn, means total sales volume of Take5 was up. People are buying more lottery tickets. Maybe it's residual effect from those CostCo employees on Long Island winning the 200 mil PB JP. Who knows... but I see it as a good sign. Friday's are the day of the week that T5 JP's are the largest. They have been running under 100K for a long time. Two years ago, Friday nite JP's ranged from $105 to $110 grand.
Then again, maybe what's causing it is the new buy $10 get 3 free QP's promo running in June. When the promo ends we'll know what was going on.

I up'd my play to get the $3 for $10. Hit NOTHING on the $3 but got a FP on my normal numbers and a FP out of the $2 extra I added (normally play $3 a day - added $2 and played for 2 nites)
So not sure if that counts as a 'hit' - yet, if one of the FP's for tonight cash'es then I count it as a HIT.

I looked back thru my spreadsheet, I didnt see any other occurrances of two sets of sequential numbers.
For me personally, sequentials are tough. I dont play them much. For whatever reason, and it's probably not a good reason, I shy away from picking sequential numbers even though I know that doesnt make a lot of sense.
Here's a cut and paste from something I downloaded regarding sequentials;
"Sequentials are consecutive numbers appearing inthe same drawing. Such as ... 6 & 7 or 15 & 16 or 42 & 43.Sequentials appear about 20 percent of the timein largergames. In smaller games they may appear 50 percent ofthetime and even form triples 21-22-23 about 10 percent of thetime."
Take5 is a "smaller" game, and it's true, sequentials are drawn close to 50% of the time.
My problem with themisthis:I decide to play a set of sequentials and I pick 25 as the first number.

NEW June Promo - buy $10 on one ticket and get $3 QP FREE- so I will just buy my 'normal' numbers 3 days ahead and get the free tickets
Wish we could have 10 separate games on one ticket. Always annoys me only five games on a ticket still. Anyways I'm in with 30 bucks QPs (not including FPs) and my normal numbers tonight so will see how it goes.

Its weird sometimes. With those numbers drawn last night all my QPS were like that. With my 30 bucks QP I got 3 numbers 4 times luckily. I saw the 5,6,7 when I got up for work and I was pissed until I actually looked at my tickets and noticed all my QPs were like that. Just too bad I didnt get 4 or 5 but looking at my QPs im sure someone got that QP or FP last night...

Somebody's happy today.
1 winner from the Quick Mart on Dolson Ave in Middletown... with a PLAYERS PICK!
I too would have thought it would be a QP.
It's definitely weird sometimes, and lately the numbers have been running very weird. We've seen a triple sequential,a triple repeat, and adouble set of sequentials all in the last 10 days or so. Each of those things doesnt happen very much.

Played back $30 on the QP tonight also. Will see what comes up. No noticeable pattern in the QP but alot of 31s.
Nasty looking sequence of numbers with no singles or teens. The range for all numvers was 12 which seems awfully low. If anyone hits, I would imagine it is off a QP.

Hit 3 numbers twice with 10 free plays off 30 bucks QP (with the 9 QP also from promotion and other QP from night before).

Another manual winner last night. Last 2 days have had me shocked with the manual wins
