Boy that Neon 9s game is my least favorite game ever. Was doing ok (no big wins but no bit losses either) until I played that game again. I swear they must have 2 winners in the whole roll. All 4 of them (and 3 in a row) lost. Have won once in about 17 tickets, for $10. Just an awful game at least in my area.

When I played and got them, I never won. I think I had one $20 winner and the rest were $10's(when there was a winner). My grandmom was at my dads for dinner tonight. She is a big gambler and she said she hasn't won anything either. I think she is more #'s game, but I know she buys a good amount of scratch offs. Hopefully the early batch next week will yield $100 or so with only buying a few.
Matt. Have you ever been to Valley Forge casino? If so, do you like. I keep hearing mixed reviews and curious if I should go. It would be my closest casino but I don't want to waste my time either.

Hi omiller! Hope your recovery is doing well. Haven't gone there yet, but I want to go. Will wait for the weather to cool down.
I am going to have to go to your method playing the scratch offs. Since the $10 tickets and $20 tickets are so bad it doesn't pay to chase. Unfortunately I get obsessed with winning on a ticket if I lose a lot on it - but maybe I should just give up on the 9s now. New $10 ticket coming soon fortunately.

VFC is nice I go from time to time. I love roulette.
Those neon 9s are good around my way. I'm looking for another $500
Or more if I can find it. Good luck omiller and matt!

Thanks. I love Hollywood, but VFC is closer, plus it is 15 minutes from my dads, so its a nice halfway point if I need to take a break from driving. Just don't trust the hour drive each way to Hollywood yet. I am thinking next week when the temps get back into the mid to low 80's. I am enjoying tickets alot more again. I haven't been winning, but I been playing less than $20 at a time( and not everyday), so any win is nice and any loss isn't that big of deal. Those $100+ days are long gone. Just no sense and no profit. I start physical therapy tomrorow and the place is in the shopping center with the beer place that gets tickets on Day1, so next week I will def try a few and see how they play.
Chris$. I never played table games. Usually just stick to slots, but one day I would like to try them out.

Yes, luck is the #1 factor.
You are right about doing some things to slightly improve your odds with scratchers, but the "House" odds on scratch tickets are so bad to start with, a little extra advantage isn't enough to make a dent over time.
That being said, one of the few things I have found that can increase your odds significantly is the knowledge you have of what has been won in a book (or roll) of scratch tickets at a certain point. For example, if you knew that the first half of a $300 book had only $10 or $20 in winners total, it would be worth the gamble to buy the rest of that book (especially in most states that have a set minimum amount of winnings per book). You would probably break even at worst and may even come out ahead. But you would need to know what was won in that first half.
...and nice reference to War Games
But you would need to know what was won in that first half. -Exactly
To complicate matters more... if you're playing to win one of the main JP prizes... you would need to know when one of those JP tickets finally became available for purchase in the state. I think there are often long stretches of time (months and months) where the main JP prize(s) for a particular game are sitting in a warehouse on a pallet waiting to be distributed to retailers and/or machines... and rarely do all the advertised top tier JP's ever get distributed during the lifecycle of a game.
In those instances... say you had the resources to buy up every ticket for that game for sale in your state on a given day, your odds of hitting one of the main JP's are still ZERO until one of those JP tickets are available for purchase somewhere in the state... i.e. taken off the pallet in the warehouse, shipped in a van, distributed to the stores/machines for purchase.
Talk about redefining "house odds"...
With the lottery (lotto/MM/PB pick 3/4)... despite their astronomical odds... at least you have a shot at winning the JP each time you play, not the case with scratchers on any given day... timing and dumb luck for sure!

You have to watch buying those..OR watch someone else buy them they aren't good unless you hit the streak. Thing is,
to find the streak you have to buy at least 2...If I get one and it loses, I get another to see if it wins. If that one wins, I'll
reinvest to buy one more to see if that one wins, if not I quit...if it wins I'll get one more. I've seen these things go 4 in a row
doing it that way, so if you get one winner it's probably an okay idea to buy the next.
I've seen $10x 3 in a row and also have seen $10 and $100 follow it too...I only saw that 2 times though, most times it's
$10 then $10 or $10 then $50...WHEN they are running back to back.
But if you try and lose, I'd stop...because it might be a dry spell in the sequence. If you get one and win..I'd try the next one.

When I go for PT today, I will check the beer store. I always see a presumed owner and her daughter. If the mom is there, I will ask if she has any photos of the ones coming out. The daughter seems more high school age and probably wouldn't know.

I have been traveling for work for several months now. pretty much quit playing until last week when I was in Boston. I decided to try a new 20 ticket Mega Multiplier. Won $50 and kept playing. I left the store called Tedeschi I think, UP $1700. Hit 2 $500s and plenty of smaller wins. They had a ridiculous amount of tickets a whole wall covered in them. well the money only lasted 3 days as I bought 2 rolls for $2000 each and they swallowed my entire profit time to quit again.....

Yeah . Good to hear from you. Glad all is ok.
I didn't get a chance to talk to the beer owner for the new tickets. I will try to call the store next to work and see if he has images. Hopefully PA will update their site sooner than last time. Went on a Friday bender and grabbed $56 worth of tickets today. Will scratch them in a bit and see how I do.
