DK, do not buy a $1000 card for over $600. The State takes 7% out for taxes when you turn the ticket in and then you pay the Feds another 25% the following year so in essence you are only getting $680 for a $1000 ticket. Combined lottery taxes in NC currently stands at a whopping 32%!
You beat some nice odds to hit $400 twice! I can’t believe you are working the Rudy Reds over like that as I can’t win on that card to save my life but as we both known, I am just not hitting the door at the right time. Thanks for the well wishes and I hope you get into NC’s lottery pocketbook again real soon.
Hi FiveX,
We had no plans to buy that ticket -- I'm not sure that he wasn't one of the lottery "inspectors" going around checking to see if a retailer would do that. I'll be happy (well, sort of) to pay taxes on my own wins--but I certainly won't pay taxes for someone else. The ticket was folded up and in his wallet -- and it looked pretty worn---like he's opened/folded it many, many times. That's what made me suspicious. Then he said he'd had one store buy one for $600 one time before -- I thought that smelled fishy--so I told him, maybe he should go back to that same store. he didn't say anythign then -- so I thought he might be an inspector.....
BTW, we hit 2 more $400 tickets on the $4 million Gold Bullion ticket this week. Then we caught the Pick 4 50/50 on a quick pick mid-week and we got $200 for that. I guess I can say we had a good run!
Sorry for the delayed reply -- was busy all weekend and did not have chance to check LP very much.
Oh--and the Rudy reds--we have won on 000 and 029 --- how stragne is that--I usually win middle of the pile, but not on these.
Good luck to you and congrats again on your $1,000 win--I'll be looking for one of those myself!

Finally won something decent on a PA Scratch off..I bought only 1 $5 ($ ticket) number 001...thought it would be a loser because figured that 000 must have won something because they wouldn't leave 001 there...had one number and figured I at least won my $5 back...and it was a nice surprise of $250 under it..I couldn't believe it..that is the most I have won on a ticket in a long long time...in all the thousands of tickets I have scratched I have never had the $250 under it...so that was a first...I took a picture of it, but can't get it to upload..
I only bought the one and left the store..didn't scratch until I got home..because I wasn't going to chase a win..had the attitude that if I win, I win, if I don't then I don't...
Good luck today everyone...

The new $20 ticket comes out tuesday. Getting a roll right in the morning wish me luck.
James, I guess I can wait until tomorrow to find out, but do you know if the new game is a $600 roll, or a $1,000?
I haven't seen anything on the new game yet, but I'll be sure to check it out tomorrow if I see it around.... Do you have a link to anything? I'm not seeing anything online yet, just wondering what you've seen along the lines of odds or what the game looks like, etc....
Hope you do great on the roll tomorrow! I will be checking here to see your results!!!!

I understand. I just wanted you to know in case you run into it again.
I can’t believe you are wearing out that new Bullion card. $400 is the best win as you pay no taxes and you are on your way. That is awesome and congrats. I have heard many folks say they are hitting on Rudy Reds on 000 and 029. That is unusual but it is happening here in High Point too so there is something to it. I bought one at lunch and it was a dud, #11.
I have bought several Bullion cards since I hit and thank goodness I haven’t been duding out but all I seem to win is a free card. Things are back to normal lol. Beats a dud though so I am grateful. I just enjoying playing and can tell you do too. As long as we are having fun…
Good luck to you DK and I hope we are headed to Raleigh real soon.
PS. I hit two numbers on that huge Cash5 jackpot this weekend and my other three numbers were off by one. So close.

Nice good win. My area is still bad. I am 1 for 13 on the new $20 for $20 win. I am maybe 2 for 15 on the $5 ticket, 1 for 10 on the $3 and a few $2 wins on the $2 one. Its just loser after loser when I actually decide to play. Glad to see others winning in PA though

Its the exact same format as Jubilee. same odds same prize tiers. $600 for a roll
They already had them at my fav gas station, but you are not allowed to activate them until tomorrow. both rolls were 'claimed' so its a change of plans, either pick up a roll from publix or grab random tickets from numerous locations. I hope its like $25M and I hit those $500s the first day again

Good one - WTG allowself!!
Each time I buy and scratch and don't come up with a thousand on one of those, I'm amazed - I don't like them
very much but yours is a great one - I'm wondering where all the remaining prizes of $1,000 are..this one seems
to be the $5 ticket with a LOT of remaining $1,000 winners left. I'd like to catch one but would be happy seeing
one for $250 too. Keep on winning!!

I remember 20X was like that, Seemed like a billion $1k wins left, and I even went after rolls with no luck. Is it just me or do those "$" tickets scratch bad? I can normally take a coin and go in a straight line and uncover my row, on those I barely take off any coating and have to do them 1 by 1. If the gas station didn't always produce a $1 winner on those last week, i might have gone over and tried some. Maybe next store I see them, I will get a handful. I still prefer old tickets to new ones.

Needed a break from work. There were 7 of the "$" left on the roll that didn't hit $1k. all 7 were duds. I just believe I am cursed and never meant to win.lol

Exactly....I remember that too omiller. These $ tickets are either lies or misprints...I'll be
darned if I can find one. Oh the scratching is a bit more difficult I think too and another
bad scratch is the double shot - I like them but just wish they scratched easier. I did
like the one I got today though for a change - the double shot symbol paid $25 x 2 for
$50.00 instead of the usual $1 x 2. ticket # 036.

Oh those Double Shot tickets are VERY annoying as far as scratching lol.
I have been looking for the the Trim the Tree tickets before they go away. I was very lucky with them. There are still quite a few large payouts left.
But TRY to find them here in SW PA . I have actually stopped at places randomly but no one has any. I guess the lottery is going to make out big time on those with all the big payouts still left and no tickets to be found. I think 3/31 is the last day.
I even went as far to email the lottery to see if they knew of any near me that had them. They said they do not have access to to that info. (which sort of surprises me!!).

We still have the Trim the Tree tickets here in NE PA. I had absolutely no luck with the Christmas tickets, including that one. As you mentioned, there are still many big payouts on the ticket, but I'm not sure when the sale end date is. On the lottery website it says TBD, so you might still have some time. I always thought retailers should have some type of discount for tickets that are old and need to be sold quickly.
Bought 25 worth of $1, $2, $3, and $5 tickets this morning. Only winner was the $1 Fast 25 ticket. Got the win $25 symbol on ticket 014, so broke even for the day. Waiting until Friday to purchase more.

Wow...they told you they don't have access to that info? Stunning actually. To me that means they either just blindly print
and ship and don't care where the packs go, how they're selling, if they're in the machine or on a shelf somewhere or if
they crashed and burned in a UPS truck somewhere along a delivery route. What's more, that also confirms for me that they are
making TONS of money not to care about older tickets.
So what it is, is this..they print new ones for each month. Those new sets contain 4 to 6 brand spanking new graphics with
the same old win structure....4 top prizes of $1 million or 5 top prizes of $1 million.....they got cheesy with Extreme Green
and offered 8 top prizes. I don't quite get that, are they trying to appear to be poor? They could have done 80 top prizes
for $8 million and still came out ahead. So back to the point....they print the new ones and toss care and concern for the
old ones aside? They must know at any given time WHERE they are, HOW many prizes are left, HOW many packs are
remaining in the game and WHERE the winners are.....I believe once a pack is activated, they know where the winner
is. I do not believe for ONE SECOND they have no idea where they are. As far as the unactivated packs, they KNOW
what orders went out, so they know where they are too.
Imagine the printing presses...they have to insert the top prize into the millions of tickets they print for each game..
exactly where it is on that line, they may not know but they sure know it's in there somewhere and with a few punches
on the keyboard, know just what series the top prizes are in and where they are going or where they went. In an
operation this big, who would just throw out millions of dollars without knowing where those millions of dollars in
potential prize money are? I always said random my butt.
Yeah and talk about making out big or like a bandit....sheesh, the prizes that go unclaimed by either people misreading
their ticket and tossing it or having a game end with tons of money leftover in winnings...WOW...there is someone,
somewhere rubbing their hands together or getting a nice big pat on the back.
You know, I like playing and will probably never quit unless I'm in a coma but I DO mind being lied to....I've had the line
of crap handed to me about these tickets and it being totally random. I'm not IN a coma YET...so just don't even try
to spread that garbage of not knowing around. With money this big, it's more than a little bit silly.
