Finally gave up on Merry & Bright. I got mad and hawked 6 tickets and only won $5 on the 6th one. Seems loaded with bad losing zones.

Last time I bought Holiday Gifts, all 3 of those lost. Haven't tried it again.

Bought just one Peppermint Payout today (was #011) and it won, but just over face value.

Likely just buying a couple tickets before Christmas. Hope everyone has a great Holiday season!

Really...get the heck out. Sick huh lol. One day, one day. It might just take another life for some of us though. I don't

like how some areas can be so lucky and some are just dust in the corner.

Holy crap I'll tell you what....NO ONE will know in ANY store if I win a large amount ever again. I made that mistake
once and the da-mn news spread worse than wildfire. Clerks are the worst...if you don't tell them to shut their mouths,
that's the news of the week and refreshes every dam-n time they see you. Even if you do tell them to shut their mouth,
they blab anyway. One reason I don't talk to anyone anymore. I especially hate the happy go lucky loud mouth lottery
tinkering player who asks: Hey, do you win on those?? I don't play but just wondered if they win. WELL.....duh...if they
didn't win, I wouldn't be playing them. Usually these people are LOUD and the whole store hears them. What slays me is
I don't look like I'm approachable or talkative. I just wish some people would leave me alone. I'm busy and don't have
time for small talk when I go out.

Wishing everyone playing will win a good one on their next buy. GL!

Just posted this on the GA site but wanted to bring it here as well.  Maybe others feel like me!

I just got a reality check!  I am done with scratchers!  I just keyed in a losing $30 ticket and noticed my entry count.  I have 463 losers since February.  Not to mention how many I have thrown away and did not key.  463 x $30= $13,890!!!  What the hell am I doing!  And that is just on one ticket.  I play and lose on several $20 tickets as well.  I have now realized if I save my money I will have WAY more than I could ever win.  Just for kicks, take that $13,890 and divide it by 12.  I am donating $1157 to the GA lottery per month!  That is a mortgage payment!  How is that for reality?  I am done!

Well, I think it is good that you've realized how much you've lost and see that it's too much (for you anyways).

My advice would be to play within your limits, but try to be very sure where your at in regards to money lost vs

money won at any point in time. I can't tell by your sig, but it looks like you have 15+ winning tickets of at least

$500 or more. That's a decent chunk of what you lost back, but I'm sure there are a lot of other tickets that you

have played this year that aren't accounted for (both winners and losers).

My own personal philosophy is to only spend what I am comfortable with losing. Right now, even losing an average

of $100 each month is more than I "want" to lose, but I would be OK at that rate. Now I probably could gamble several

hundred dollars each month and not really miss it, but I view that as a huge waste of money.... anyone would unless

they managed to snag a big win here or there.

True, dr - $100 wins are still a big deal here. I know Acme in Phoenixville sold $10,000 and $5,000 tickets this year, but for all I know those were the only ones $500 or more. Plus, I don't go to Acme as much as other stores.

How bad has the Pennsylvania Lottery gotten? I played the instant tickets semi-regularly when visiting PA up until about 2012 and it wasn't hard to find $50, $100 winners even in the lower-denomination tickets.

Was wondering about that casino. Right near their. But everything I'm hearing is telling me to stay away from that place.

Brock.. Sorry for the delay.. You have to pay $10 to get on the floor or stay in the hotel. I generally play $100-$150 when I make a trip to any casino. I can goto Hollywood in Grantville and make that money last for over an hour and close to two and/or also come home with good winnings. I only ever play slots. I went to Valley Forge twice and my money lasted under 20 minutes both times. It's a shame cause Grantville takes me an hour. From my dads house to VF is 15-20 minutes and only about 30 from me.. Check it out if it is local, but don't expect much. I know you can get to Parx in Bensalem in about 30min from VF and might be the better investment. Alot more machines there(VF doesn't have that many).

I agree I was a parx on black friday and had good luck there.

Came back $400 ahead after 5 hours there. Most was on the $1 slots.

In my opinion terrible. It's been that way since before 2012 in my opinion. Used to get $100 on $2 tickets a few years ago.

Pretty sweet win.  $1,000 wins on $10 tickets are very rare.  I haven't won more than $100 on that game.  I bought my mother one as part of her Christmas gift last year and she won $200 (10X $20).

I haven't been playing as much lately.  I will probably try the new $20 ticket "Black" on Tuesday.  On a sidenote I am getting very annoyed lately with Pick3/Pick4 players who don't fill out a playslip.  The retailers should make that mandatory.

I normally only play 20 and 30 dollar tickets.  Played some 30 dollar tickets and got nothing.  Threw in the last 6 or 7 dollars I had and got THIS!!!!

I also won $5,000 in October after losing thousands all this year.
