4 + 1 -- 24 -- \$24,000

3 + 1 -- 1104 -- \$165,600

2 + 1 -- 12,144 -- \$121,440

1 + 1 -- 42,504 -- \$127,512

0 + 1 -- 42,504 -- \$85,008

\$523,560 - \$98,280

It's the fact you matched the bonus number and five of the numbers that makes the totals spectacular. Just by matching two numbers, the winnings would be \$125,580 and zero matches would be \$98,280. Had you equally distributed all 46 bonus numbers, you would probably had:

5 + 0 -- 1 = \$250,000

4 + 1 -- 3 = \$30,000

4 + 0 -- 112 = \$16,800

3 + 1 -- 55 = \$8250

3 + 0 -- 2485 = \$17,395

2 + 1 --  385 = \$3850

1 + 1 -- 963 = \$2889

0 + 1 -- 752 = \$1504

And while it's still a nice hit, small compared to the effect of picking and matching only one bonus number.

As an experiment, I put your 28 numbers (replacing the second 13 with another number) in the same order they appeared into a 4 if 4 abbreviated wheel with 4932 combos and a 5 + 0 match was found on line number 1117. While it's not a guarantee, it still proves it's possible to win a jackpot using only 5% of the combos. It won't help anyone who thinks \$10 is a huge bet, but it is a more realistic way to play a 28 number group with one bonus number.

This is the best post on this thread.

My 5 of 5 hit on line 1117.

Thank again Stack.

Wow.

Awesome work lottoarchitect, anytime you hit 5 of 5 we will get Stack to run the abbrev.

It is just a matter of time for this to show up, it just has to come much sooner than the odds suggest to be worthy. I expect this to show up soon anyway. Not sure what someone would get by matching 4-hits lets say half of the time whilst waiting for the 5+x hit. If this can cover much of the cost, it may well be a very viable approach to play really.

Can you give me the abbrev. 3 if 4 wheel with THESE 28 numbers Stack??

You could get a copy of CoverMaster from LottoLogix and make your own custom abbreviated wheels any size and with any percentage of coverage you wanted.  That what I did when I was exploring the advantages of wheeling numbers.  I've since given up that project for other ways of covering a group of numbers for less.

Thanks for detecting that Rogue 18 ball Stack. I will start using the number generator before I post so as to eliminate doubles. The next ball in line would have been the 11.

Where did you get that idea?  That's only \$240 a year, I've always spent more that that.  I spend as much on lotteries as some folks spend on cigarettes and beer.

If someone played just one line of self picks (or QPs) in every PB and MM drawing, they will spend \$312 a year. The minimum play for the Maddog's Challenge players is probably \$12 a drawing for MM and \$24 for PB if they want a reasonable chance of winning something. Considering it takes 12 lines just to cover all the numbers in both games that might be the minimum for any reasonable play.

At \$20 a month, I don't see how anyone can even get "dream value" by playing because they can't play every drawing.

I agree Stack47, but the problem of hitting 5 of 5 is not so much a matter of the right number of plays as it is PLAYING THE RIGHT NUMBERS.

You proved that with 28 numbers THAT CONTAIN THE WINNING 5 you can hit 5 of 5 with as little as \$1117.

Can you go back and see how we would have done the fist 2 times I hit 5 of 5??

THRIFTY speaks from so many positions, it's hard to figure what he's saying. In one threads he says "one ticket per drawing", in another he says "brought 5 PB tickets and made \$7 profit" and in another he says "I may buy a lottery ticket someday".

All I know for sure is that he dreams about winning a lottery but can't make up his mind about buying tickets.

* you don't need to buy more tickets, just buy a winning ticket *
