Nice hit skeptic I have not bought a tic over $5 in couple weeks. Maybe it's time to try my luck lol.

Thanks Luckjax ! I got very lucky this past weekend ........ if I had to buy tickets today I wouldn't know what to get. You know how quickly wins turn to losses and even worse - chasing winners dud after dud...

GOOD LUCK to you man - hope you get so many wins you can't count 'em fast enough !!

wins: $10,000 Jubilee - $5,000 $200MS - 31 $1k's - 183 $500's - 5 $400's

    10 each on $200MS and 50X today. One $20 on $200MS, one $10 on 50X. Nine-in-a-row losers on both.

The $2 tickets are the only ones around here that don't absolutely abuse me.

I haven't had many wins other than $5.. $10 etc lately. One $50 win on WoF. Still haven't won $100 on WoF which is weird because the odds of winning $100 are better than $30/$40/$50 and I've won all of those, some twice.

Got this one today, I'd been playing off this roll yesterday at a low traffic store and it seems they hadn't sold any, or maybe one, since yesterday.

Nice one oldghost ! Glad to see you're out there pitchin' !  I tried a bunch of $20 FLAMINGO - these are the two best wins. I don't like the game but had to try it once more. As much as I played I never got a $500. Liked the fact it has 100X for a win - but the odds sux

        wins: $10,000 Jubilee - $5,000 $200MS - 31 $1k's - 183 $500's - 5 $400's

          Skeptic:

It'd be nice to see a 100x, and I checked, there's at least 5 ways the 100x comes up. For the following prizes:

          $400 as $2 (100X) + ($40 x 5)
          $500 as $5 (100X)
          $1,000 as $10 (100X)
          $5,000 as $50 (100X)
          $20,000 as $200 (100X)

The files don't show what the top prizes (in this game, 100k, 1MM, and 5MM) show up as. Presumably it shows the prize straight up when it's that high without 100x modifiers and what not.

              Finally got $100 on WoF.

Oldghost - Nice hits on $5 tickets. Congratz on finally hitting $100 on the WoF ticket! The most I've hit was $50 (win all) on the Wheel of Fortune ticket. How have the $5 tickets been treating you lately? Do you play Price is Right, or any of the other old $5 games? I still see the old $5 Flamingo, King's Ransom, Price is Right, and Margaritaville near where I live.

Skeptic - Nice hits on the $20 Flamingo ticket. I hear you. The best I've hit was $200 on one of those tickets, but I've encountered far more losers. The odds of hitting $500-$1000 on that thing is absolutely horrible compared to Gold Rush, and really every other $20 ticket...

This Friday, I'm thinking about playing with maybe $200-$300 with a mixture of $5, $10, and $25 tickets.

                Dracos:

The $5s haven't been as good lately as they were in March, but I was playing at a different place and a little more (not sure the first part of that matters). I'd won $30, $40, and $50 twice (all with worse odds than winning $100), so I was surprised not to have hit the $100.

No, I don't play TPiR. It has 2 of the 9 grand prizes left. I avoid games when their # of grand prizes left drops that low because they could easily be gone already - thrown away or on rolls Lotto has picked up. The logic in playing an old game, with less than 50% of the grand prizes left fails in my eyes when theirs other games with more prizes left. I figure you can somewhat assume that if there are 50% of the grand prizes left, there should be around that in other large prizes. Now this isn't necessarily true, but given what we have to work with it's the best assumption that can be made. That said, I do play King's Ransom (3 of 6 left, though I suspect some have been thrown away since the game could confuse people) here and there as well a Escape to Margaritaville (5 of 10 left).

Also, I don't necessarily stick to that 50% of grand prizes left rule. In the case of Gold Rush.. that has 13 of 36 left on the $5 ticket so even though it has less than 50% of grand prizes left, there's still a relatively good number of them still out.

I hear you. Yeah, that makes sense. I agree the likelihood of it being throw out, or tossed by the lottery with only 1-2 jackpots remaining is probably high. If the $10 Gold Rush had more top prizes remaining, I'd be playing that ticket. Right now, the only tickets I want to play are Wheel of Fortune, the $10 Holiday Gifts (although it is possible the two top prizes were tossed away as holiday gifts to someone, or removed from circulation by Fl lottery when they picked up tickets from stores), and the $25 Misfortune (the number of $1 prizes to be won is enticing).

Do you think that's what happened to the $20 Lucky $200k/yr for life? They claim to have two 200k/yr prizes, and 4 50k/yr prizes remaining, but one of the top prizes hasn't been hit in a long time. Plus, it says it was "reordered" on the lottery website.

I agree the $5 Gold Rush probably has a good number of prizes to be released. The $5 Flamingo ticket does as well. I am still so envious of people who managed to hit $1,000- $10,000 on a $5 ticket! I remember meeting someone at the Jacksonville claim office who hit $10k on the $5 Flamingo ticket. Absolutely badass luck to win such an incredible amount. Sleepy

                    Dracos,

The $200k L4L still has 2 top prizes but I believe only 3 second tier $50k for life prizes left.  Given the print run of tickets, there are definitely two more top prizes out there.   However, they will not be hit anytime soon because the lady in Hialeah who won one a few months ago.  The $50k prize may be due soon.  The reason I am pretty sure that one of the $50k prizes will not be won is that there is a top prize and a second tier top prize every 60,000 rolls of tickets sold (3,000,000 odds/50 tickets to a roll).  The $50k for life were being hit at a relatively close intervals of one prize per 60,000 rolls.  However, a while back, there was a gap of almost 100,000 rolls sold without a $50k prize claimed.  Given the odds, it is very likely someone threw away the ticket or it got deactivated.

With that said, the only $20 tickets I would buy right now are the Gold Rush and Super Millions.  Both appear due for top prize hits soon.  The Monopoly is a wild card because it should be due for a hit, but I don't have enough info to make a very informed prediction.

Honestly though, looking at all the odds...I'd even go as far as to say the $20 Flamingo is a better ticket to play than LFL. There are way more prizes out there for the Flamingo ticket, and with how old LFL is...I just don't feel confident about those remaining prizes being found with how old LFL is. The chances of hitting $100-$1,000 is better on LFL, but the chances of hitting big prizes on the $20 Flamingo seems to be better.

I'd say the $25 Fortune ticket has much better odds of a big hit as well. I haven't played Super Millions, or the Monopoly tickets. Every time I've bought the $20 LFL, I've gotten beaten up bad. I think I won $100 once, but I've encountered soooooo many duds on the $20 LFL ticket. I see it  commonly at mom and pop stores in Jacksonville and even at Winn Dixie, but they seem to be having a hard time selling that ticket. I can go in and see the roll barely move a few numbers over the course of the week.

I'm definitely cutting back and probably not going to buy a roll of anything anymore. I plan on playing only the $10 Holiday gifts on payday every couple of weeks. I bought some at the lottery district office in Jackonsville, and they had what seemed to be a very hot roll out. I bought 2 for $20, and ended up with $120 with a $100 and $20 back to back wins. Have you had any luck with Holiday gifts, or the Spectacular? Do you know where the Spectacular tickets are in Jacksonville? I don't see anymore in Arlington area, downtown, or in Ortega on the westside.

I'm going to buy maybe 20-30 tickets of the Holiday gifts on Friday, and I'll be sure to share the results here. Smile I hope that if you play soon you get a nice win, with at least another claim ticket to the Jax district office bud.

If I had more disposable income, the ones I would alternate between are a long list. Essentially anything with a large amount of prizes left. I wouldn't touch something as old as LFL (6 years old) and minimal prizes left except maybe once in a while. The end date on that I think is just a pre-inserted date that they won't end up sticking to, but just a guess. I also wouldn't touch a lot of the ones a lot of people in here seem to like to play like 200MS or especially not Super Millions - 1 grand prize left and 2 years old? eh. I truly hope one of you hit it while playing that, I just think the odds of that one prize still existing and it appearing anywhere by luck are too low. I'd rather play like Escape to Margaritaville with 5 prizes left and just as old and only $5 per ticket. In short, any game with 1 or 2 grand prizes left, I avoid. If I'm winning and I run out of rolls that seem hot - I'll usually switch to a different store before I start playing games with smaller # of grand prizes left. Am I right? I have no idea, but looking at it from an odds point of view I believe (although obviously still crappy) I have better odds going the route I am.

I forgot to mention this in my last post.

I was talking to a Lotto guy today who used to work in the offices and now works the stores (whatever that role is called). And running under the assumption that he isn't talking out of his a--, he said the lotto can only control when big prizes get released when it's a ticket they reorder or was delivered in more than one shipment. So if a game doesn't have the * at the end on the "prizes remaining" page, he said they'll know when it's sent out and where to, but they don't control when it is sent or where it is sent. The ones that are reordered he said they'll know that the reorder (as I believe they're doing with WoF which will add I think 4 more grand prizes) has 4 grand prizes in it, and they can control when they start on that batch with those 4 prizes, but that's it. Might he be talking out his butt? Sure. But it makes sense logically and everything else can be explained by the fact that that is how "random" generally works out.

An example of this would be the $5 holiday game. That thing had its last grand prize sold in the second week of January, but isn't slated to end until June 17th. If they controlled it to the degree which I've seen mentioned - they wouldn't send it out that far in advance.

Additionally, King's Ransom sold the 3 grand prizes its paid out in the first 4 months of its existence, then nothing for 3 years now. That to me isn't a sign that they control it. But as with a lot of things with the lotto, I'm making some assumptions.
