2 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize: 1 from Arizona and 1 from Maryland. The megaplier was X5 again. Both players could have won $5,000,000 if they had added the megaplier for $1.00

I love when that happens to cheapskate, tightwad, miserly, skinflint penny-pinchers.

I LOVE it!

I cannot tell you how much I love it!

People will spend $2 on Powerball, but won't spend $2 on Mega Millions.

Cheapskates lose sleep over losing a dollar.

Can you imagine when they lose $4 Million?  LOL!

They probably choke on their Ramen Noodles when they see the results!

1 lucky player from Georgia matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize last night.  The megaplier was X4. Could have won $4,000,000 if the megaplier was added for $1.00.

Were those match 5 winning tickets only 1 pick, some of them might of had 5 lines or 10. Megaplier gets expensive unless your only buying one line.

Interesting observations. May have tried the Megaplier once or twice. Never the Powerplay on the Powerball as it costs $2.00,without the Powerplay.

I'd be happy just hitting the five white balls in either game. The Mega Game while the matrix has changed is still fun to play because it still costs a dollar. The drawing March 7,2014 is a whopping $270M. Maybe I'll take your advice and add the multiplier.

Time to make another pot of coffee. Today's blend is Three Brothers Black Label Coffee, Snickerdoodle flavor. Comes in regular and decaffinated versions.

                Thanks for the Post. Coffee

2014 promises more jackpot winners,so don't forget to play.

Not only that but each winner only got $421k and that was before taxes. Pari-mutel is not for me!

I have to say, coulda woulda shoulda, I spent 30.00 on 15 lines of mega millions multiplier numbers and did not get even close too any of the winning numbers.  So, may-be, people are not willing to take that chance on spending the extra dollar and to find out that a national lottery game only had 2 people that won the second tier prize.  Alot of lost money.

I got a little carried away yesterday when filling out a playslip;  I usually just get a QP, two if the JP is "up there" and after ticking the boxes and getting a couple, I thought I'd just go ahead and play my special numbers I used to play but after filling out the slip, I thought it would be just my luck to hit it but have the megaball wrong, so I filled out another play and reversed two of the numbers - 5 & 10- THEN decided I'd play another and instead of my age, would put my birth year and kept the "10" on that play.  Long story - and sentence -  short, I had two plays hit on the megaball.  I spent $14, but got $8 back.  That's not bad, considering my luck.  Better than a lick in the butt w/ a hatchet, as my ol' pop used to say.

think of it like this mega or powerball hits either at a HIGH JACK POT or a low meaning a couple roll overs. its a mind game theyre playing. its all controlled bet mega dont hit for atleast 3 more times

                              .
