I walk in a positive light- you can't rain on my parade, so don't even try.
All of the folk who play the lottery " hope to win" otherwise why try?
I would rather use the word " when than if" ..since it carries a more positive outlook on things.
Now run along and play.
I'm an 'if' not 'when' person myself, but I completely agree with you here and I cannot understand someone feeling the need to deliver so much sarcasm and negativity on such a benign comment.
Unless you're diagnosed delusional, I can't see what it would hurt to have a positive outlook on things so have at it. I can't understand those who play the lottery and then knock those who contemplate winning. Why play then if you believe no one can win. It's improbable that anyone here will win. But it's not impossible. And that's the point.

Or are you going with the " wait and see approach" once you have the check in hand?
I will retire along with the wife, do some serious traveling from time to time to places we have not yet set foot on & get involved in charity work that involves helping the needy.
My biological odometer still has miles to go before " l sleep" so to-speak.
Of course as time progresses, we will adapt to the changing needs as necessary.
What's your approach?
There was a guy on TLCML who when he was broke, would drive around with his wife, and they'd look at nice homes and dream that if they ever won the lottery they would buy one of those places, but after they won, their dream homes weren't up to par anymore. LOL. They had won enough to afford better than what they dreamed of. I think that's pretty cute. They seemed like a nice family actually.
I have the usual: house, car, take care of family and close friends plans. The specificity changes depending on the size of the JP. The size of the JP also determines where those dream plans will be located. A large one means I can kiss the dream house in the neighboring city goodbye, as relocation would be essential. A small one means I may get to stay in a community I really like. Lots of variables. But really, as long as I have a house in my name...paid off, in a safe neighborhood, I'm debt free for the rest of my life and never have to worry about money again, I'll be happy. Anything more than that is gravy.

Couple questions, numbnuts.
Where's all your threads with all the important interesting stuff you keep whining about?
Who's stopping you from posting it?
Is there only room for so many threads and Noise is using up all the slots and you can't post your super-interesting threads?
Why do you keep reading his threads if you hate them so much?
Are you demanding that everybody else quit posting threads so somebody will pay attention to yours?
I don't get it.
You act like an imbecile.
Post if you wanna post, you crabby old man, nobody's stopping you!
And if you don't like Noise's threads, stop reading them! WTF?
"Couple questions, numbnuts"
I asked you a question "Have any suggestions to increase our chances of at least matching the MM bonus number?" and you said something stupid about buying more QPs.
"Are you demanding that everybody else quit posting threads so somebody will pay attention to yours?"
I'm giving my opinion of what I think about the subject in this thread. I asked for opinion about the topic "Is your life that boring you're interested if fools are making specific plans for jackpots they will probably never win?", but you can only reply with childish lame insults.
"I don't get it."
That would be a perfect answer from you to "Have any suggestions to increase our chances of at least matching the MM bonus number?" because even after years of posting on LP, you still can't answer lottery related questions.
You obviously don't get it. What was the outcome of the month of "no repeat digits" on the pick-3 and pick-4 drawings in TN.
In every other state lottery, the Director would be fired, but in your state she got a bonus and has award named after her. KY made one mistake on one pick-4 drawing, had a second drawing and paid off on both. I'm not "from" KY so I can't relate to your lame insults about Kentuckians but compared to the nothing you did when the TN Lottery cheated, anyone from KY has more lottery credibility than you.
"Post if you wanna post, you crabby old man, nobody's stopping you!"
When did I say anybody was stopping me?
"And if you don't like Noise's threads, stop reading them! WTF?"
You must be confused again because you don't make the rules on LP. Start your own message and you'll be king of your SAHM groupies.

I wouldn't take what Ridge says personally. After all he is drunk half the time.
Taking the illogical train of thought, perhaps Ridge despises Kentucky because Ridge despises Harry Reid.
Mitch MCconell is from Kentucky. And for some reason Mitch McConell cant get the smell of Harry Reid out of his pants.
So by circular logic, Ridge dislikes Kentucky because the smell of Harry Reid is on Mitch McConells butt, and thats only because they sat on the same seat.
And it wasn't even a throne seat. It was more like a toilet seat with LED lights and USB charger.
Just thinking aloud here,
How can anybody take Rdgnrn seriously when he can't comprehend it's the people of Nevada who elected Harry Reid and not the people in backwoods TN. This time next year Rdgnrn will be ragging on Nancy Pelosi again if the Dems get control of the house with no idea she represents a district in California and not a bunch of opinionated hayseeds from which ever hollar in TN Rdgnrn is from.
I'm giving my opinion about a non-lottery related topic even if Rdgnrn and Noise can't understand why counting on winning a PB or MM jackpot for retirement is a bad idea. The good news is we know Rdgnrn and Noise won't be selling any "expert guide on how to win the lottery" books.

I've seen several threads of people asking members to PM them and tell all their secrets.
Even when people or asking others for their best tips for winning, they don't want them shared by other readers. I've had people PM for advice and were so secretive that they wouldn't reveal their state or the lottery they were asking advice about. People don't want to discuss publicly anything worth knowing.
and as far as winning a jackpot nobody knows and if they really think they do, they aren't talking.
Oh they talk alright. Where have you been?
Based on the small sample of people on LP who actually write about it, I can only imagine all the ones hiding in their closets who don't want to come public.
They truly believe they will win. And we know they ALL can't win.
Can you imagine 200 or more of the thousand people at a Bingo game claiming they know for sure they will win one of the 10 games played that night, when only 10 can win?. Those 200 people just don't get it just like some here and probably all across the country on a higher scale. That's scary.

There's nothing wrong with being positive. But when someone knows for sure they will win, that's just NOT normal. Those people are the delusional ones. And apparently it seems to be many of them.
You say in your last line that it's improbable for someone here to win, but it's not impossible, and that's the point. What point? You made no point whatsoever. Anything is possible, but the probability is what really counts.
It's very possible for the entire universe to blow up in about two hours from now, but highly improbable.

Listen up, Stank47.
You don't like my answers to your dumbass questions, numbnuts? Too F bad. Don't ask stupid questions and demand prescribed answers then. Get over it. You don't make the rules here. Go start your own dumbass Kentucky website and demand everybody answer your questions in the prescribed and scripted manner that you demand. You're an idiot and a control freak. If there was ever anybody on earth who could ever tell me what to do, it wouldn't be you, Spanky. Believe that.
" I asked for opinion about the topic "Is your life that boring you're interested if fools are making specific plans for jackpots they will probably never win?", but you can only reply with childish lame insults."
Now ask me if I care. Ask anybody here if they care.
And you call fellow members here, who are nice, decent people, "fools making specific plans for jackpots they will probably never win."?
Fools?
For having hopes and dreams and enjoying talking about living out their dreams?
For having a little good-natured conversation and fun with it?
For that they are fools?
For having a little fun?
No, you're the fool, Stank, you're the fool.
When did I say anybody was stopping me?
Then where are all the super interesting threads that you say you wanna see instead of people talking about what they'll do with their winnings?
Why aren't you posting them?
Where are they, Stank?
Can't come up with an original thought or what?
And why do you demand they be in the Discussion Forum instead of Systems or Mathematics?
Ya know, Stank, I got a feeling that you're one of those miserable little runts (now old) that never got any respect from anybody in life and you're kinda pissed that you can't even get any respect here in the anonymity of the internet. Nobody ever listens to you. Nobody ever pays you no mind. Nobody takes you seriously, not your friends, not your wife, not even your dogs who don't even have any respect for you. You're just a schlump and a schmuck and a crabby old man lashing out at the people you've always envied for their capacity to laugh and have a good time once in a while, while you stew in the corner worrying about your money and never doing anything or going anywhere because you're such a penny-pinching skinflint of a miserly tightwad cheapskate.
Well, I'll tell ya what, Stank. Me and the other members here who you call "fools" are just gonna keep on posting whatever the hell we want to post and you're just gonna have to deal with it. It's gonna be rough for a while until you learn nobody cares about your demands or what you think, but I got faith in ya son.
You can keep whining about it if you want to, Stank.
But just like in your real life, nobody really cares.

Talking about lottery winnings is non-lottery related?
Ooooooooooooooohhh! Maybe you should be a good little Kintuckian and inform management!
Make sure you tell them how "Rdgrnr and Noise" are saying stuff that you think is "a bad idea".
Ooooooooooooooohhh!
Stanky, Stanky, Stanky, what am I gonna do with you, son?

Based on the number of threads on the topic, apparently some of the LP members are obsessed with discussing buying things they can't without winning a jackpot or any type of life changing amount. I read where there is going to be a $1 billion prize for anyone who can create a correct NCAA basketball bracket. The odds against are over a "quintillian" to one.
Every time I mention the redundant threads, I'm told I shouldn't read and comment on them which makes me wonder why if they don't like my criticism, why do they read my posts and comment on them.
When I play pick-3 it's likely I'll eventually win and I know it's very possible to win a Rolling Cash 5 jackpot because the numbers I wheeled matched all five numbers several times. The difference was always the fact I didn't bet thousands to play full number wheels. I guess topics about how to win games like Ohio Classic Lotto jackpots with 13 million to 1 odds just don't hold the attention of members who need to hit a jackpot just to pay for a tattoo.

"You don't make the rules here. Go start your own dumbass Kentucky website"
If owner didn't sell this site to you, you don't make the rules either. You're nothing but a wanna-be message board bully. Are you running for King of Lottery Post lame and childish insults?
"For having hopes and dreams and enjoying talking about living out their dreams?"
It looks like your life is so boring you can only dream about having nice things. Is that fairy tale world you live in caused by drugs or alcoholism?
"For having a little fun?"
A little fun was busting your chops by redundantly posting the Republican Party's position on banning all forms of Internet gambing before the 2012 election. What made it even more fun, my posts were lottery related unlike the useless crap you posted. Or did you forget the party and candidate you endorsed lost the election?
"Then where are all the super interesting threads"
I'll let Noise the "college debater" ask why you think there are more super interesting threads than this one.
"And why do you demand they be in the Discussion Forum instead of Systems or Mathematics?"
I'm not demanding anything. Are you that hard headed you can't see and understand it's criticism of another redundant topic? What is the difference between this topic (making specific plans) and the other topic Noise started, "is there any scenario where you take annual payments over the Lump sum?"
I haven't priced tattoos in years but even you ought to know it's not necessary for those young girls that want to look cool to win a jackpot to get a tattoo.
"Ya know, Stank, I got a feeling that you're one of those"
That about sums up all your credibility. Without personal attacks you have nothing. You better hope this thread gets closed down because you're breaking the same rules that banned other members.
"Now beat it."
You keep saying I'm making demands, but you're the wanna-be Internet bully. It's not about my criticism of redundant threads, it's about the fact the majority of your posts are non-lottery related.
"I think Tattoo artists ought to provide Age Progression Photos to show young people, especially young girls, how those "cool" tattoos are gonna look on them when they're 50 or 60."
Just one example, but it would be difficult finding any lottery related post of yours.
