He was the first - and only - member in here to reply to my first post and welcome me to the site.   It didn't take long to see he and I were similar in many ways, esp. politically and our values and in that neither of us suffer fools lightly.  I really like it when he gets angry at someone, esp. a righteous anger, and I keep meaning to start a Notepad document with his insults so I can use them in other forums.  I'm a big fan of self-deprecating humor and being a Texan, I love his tall tales from the holler.

At least I hope they're tall tales.

I posted on my Facebook wall a few weeks back that I was wanting to borrow some money to invest in a friend's "chicken soup in a sponge" invention.  It was one of my most replied-to posts.

Dallas, this is why I cannot read this at work.....lol. He really does need to write a book: "Chicken soup in a sponge and other tales from Tennessee"

I see a chapter on Recipes; verbal jousting; neighbors; Kentucky and other states; and moonshine.

The way *some* of us talk (mostly me),  it sounds like an obituary for Ridge.

Appropriate, since it's sorta dead w/out him around.

Yeah, looks like Madddog has had to handle birthdays on his own.

Who picked up "Meet and Greet" chores?
