    1) Pay off mortgage, 2) make first class flight reservations to get out of dodge and figure out what to do and where to move, 3) tithe, 4) start taking out cash and buy gold and silver, 4) help family and friends with immediate needs.

That will buy some time to decide next steps.

Hey old friend!  I hate to bother you but my sock has a hole in it and I really could use a new pair.  Yep, so if you would, and shoes too.  You know how that hole allowed my toe to slip through and it wore out my sneakers.  Yep, shoes and socks. Oh, and that repair work the doctors did on my foot from the rubbing on my toes and all.  Yep, shoes, socks, and a few medical bills.  It's pretty urgent I pay them because they are calling all hours of the day and night.  It really has the mrs. upset so we put a trip on the credit card to get away from them.  So if you wouldn't mind.  Just a few pair of shoes and a dozen or so socks, a small pile of medical bills, and a few credit card bills.  Just a drop in the bucket to you I'm sure.  I know you won't mind though, being so close and all.  How's the family anyway?  Oh, also you know how I've been searching for DanBan, those bills are piling up.  I've spend $2 dollars, err $20,000 on this and really am in a bind.  Anyway I am sure the $2 million I've spent is nothing for you to refund to me, especially since it's concerning another bud... $312,000,000.00 coming my way would sure help out...

I hate being suspicious about everything and nearly everyone, but these days it's a necessary survival tactic in this cruel old world. It would be even worse if you won the lottery;  then you'd not only have to worry about people harming you for your money, but people bilking you out of it and worst yet, your family caring more about the money than you.

Poor (figuratively) ol' Abraham Shakespeare;  Moore took advantage of him mainly because he had no good close friends or family support system around him.  Rest his soul, he also wasn't smart enough to recognize a con artist, either.   I doubt you or I or most others in here will have those problems.

No. I don't think you or I would get swindled by someone like DeeDee. She didn't even put that much effort into stealing his money, only in trying to cover up the murder. I don't think I could even get swindled by Allen Stanford. I worry about the Bernie Madoffs of the world, though. Those who are so prominent and well respected and audited and who've been in business for decades; those are the ones I think could scam me. Berkshire Hathaway seems like a safe bet now but I think what history has taught us is, you just never know.

I might wake up early and go running.  I might also wake up and win the lottery.

The odds are about the same.

I think DanBan hit the jackpot, packed up a suitcase, kissed his sweet mom on the cheek, and put the pedal to the metal in his 76 ford pinto!  No looking back on us decrypted souls that brought forth the energy for his fortune and fame.    I think his LinkedIn now lists silver and gold and an interest.

I would love for DanBan to have won, what a great surprise that would be for him and mom but stranger things have happened.  1976 Ford Pinto oh my, I have this visual of one of an old boss used to drive, hahahahaha.  Good times and memories but even back then those cars were laffed at.  LOL

Hi zinniagirl, I forgot about that its been so long.  If I recall correctly, they were happening on the notorious 101 freeway.  You know the freeway where the speed limit was 65 but everyone drove 90+.  They sped by me like I was sitting still lol.

Not exclusive to 101 but that was my experience.

Where is the 101 freeway?  My sister pinto threw a rod before it could explode.... Thankfully.

anyway, back to living a dream, found my little 200 acre piece of land in the mountains this week.  Should use a 100% down payment!

ArizonaDream,  California is experiencing a major drought emergency. Unless we can get the projected El Nino to bring us some rain and snow this Winter, well, some parts of California will return to Desert. Central California is being hit hard and the fires in the forests throughout the State have made National news.
