Todd,

This is going nowhere. You took exception to my views on Microsoft which has nothing to do with my IT experience. The problem was your trying to validate your opinion by questioning the IT experience of those that have differing views.

I will not continue this dialog because it does not change my opinion.

BTW I have 30 years plus in all facets of IT. There is not an area of IT that I have not been involved in. Wait I lied .... I have not spent a lot of time with security and SANS. Only because they are not applicable to the environment that I manage.

I respect your opinion and differences yours and my experience are not the issue.

Wannabe? Please define !

    Wilsel,

Again, you're missing the point.  I do not care if you have differing views on something.  It is your nature of viciously bashing a company even though you don't appear to be in a knowledgeable position to form a logical argument.  That is what I define as a wanna-be.

And yes, I question the IT experience of anyone who bashes something or someone without backing it up with facts.  It's like someone bashing a lottery system here as being"stupid" without saying why.  I have no problem with their opinion, but I do have a problem if it is not supported with facts.

I'm sure someone with your 30-year experience in all facets of IT has some good facts to back up their rants against Microsoft?  I certainly have plenty of facts to back up my 25 years of IT experience, and I'd be happy to go toe-to-toe with you on them.

Littleoldlady - I agree, I thought I was at Lottery Post, at least I tried to throw in a lottery analogy in my last response!  I just get my back up when people trash one of the companies that help produce some of the best things about the Internet today.  It is because of Microsoft that we're able to do things like Lottery Post.  While I have clarity of that fact, others are not so fortunate.  Hopefully we're finished with this argument - but thanks for watching!

              LOL

I just figured it out Todd is posturing for a job with microsoft or sponsorship.

The internet was around long before MS got into the picture.

Most web servers are still Unix based. Fact, Check with any large ISP and you will find that the infrastructure is Unix based. MS is a new player in the internet arena. But I thought you knew that Todd.

The java script battle still rages on. MS tried to put the cabash on that but industry fought back.
