Schiff: No such thing as free birth control

Providing something at no cost to the end user will result in runaway demand for that product or service, well beyond the amount demanded under a normal cost structure.

Subsidies drive up costs to higher than they were before the subsidy was put into place. First, to those who aren't part of the program, but eventually, to everyone.

See: College, housing, medical, social security, and food subsidy programs.

The Other One-percenters

If you're in that 1% to 2% of Americans that think something "big & bad" is going to happen, this article is a good start to get ideas and connect to info from different people and links to "networks". Different focuses and approaches on each.

One percent of the U.S. population equals over 3 million people; even you should be able to find some folks you can get along with. LOL

Another option is to see what happens when people rely on gub'ment to protect or rescue them.

Don't worry, Libs, I know you all don't like to read -- the last two links are mostly pictures. Wink

Finding Swimming Pools with Google Earth

http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/0,1518,709703,00.html

(Story from 2010)

Greek Government Hauls in Billions in Back Taxes

In a bid to increase revenues, the Greek authorities are employing all kinds of clever tricks to crack down on tax cheats*, including using Google Earth to find undeclared swimming pools.

...

They use police helicopters to fly over Athens' affluent suburbs and make films of homes owned by doctors, lawyers and businesspeople. They use satellite pictures by Google Earth to locate country villas, swimming pools and properties. And these tactics have revealed that the suburbs didn't have 324 swimming pools, as was reported, but rather 16,974.

Tax fraud investigators spent a number of weeks on nightclub parking lots in Athens and noted down the registration numbers of luxury sedans. Their investigation revealed that approximately 6,000 car owners have vehicles worth €100,000, but only reported to the tax authorities that they have an annual income of €10,000.

*tax cheat: noun. Someone who earns a living by producing goods and services that other people actually want and tries to keep their money out of the hands of worthless bureaucraps.

Congress OKs 30,000 drones over USA by 2020

http://www.opednews.com/articles/Congress-OKs-30-000-flying-by-Natural-News-120209-787.html

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/feb/7/coming-to-a-sky-near-you/

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, an agency within the department, operates nine drones, variants of the CIA’s feared Predator. The aircraft, which are flown remotely by a team of 80 fully qualified pilots, are used principally for border and counternarcotics surveillance under four long-term FAA certificates.

Officials say they can be used on a short-term basis for a variety of other public-safety and emergency-management missions if a separate certificate is issued for that mission.

No doubt they'll also be providing such value added services as making sure:

-- any pools, cars, decks, & outbuildings that can't be seen at street level are properly registered/permitted and taxed. Otherwise, you'll get fined.

-- your chicken & veggies patch ('cause you'll need one by then) doesn't have more than the approved quota of food in it. Otherwise, you'll get fined.

For the Gub'ment-would-never-do-that Libs --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wickard_v._Filburn

Local municipalities are going to be climbing on top of each other to get a piece of this cash-grabbing action.

30,000 drones on the roam, 30,000 drones ...
If one of those drones, drops a bomb on your home ...

Prior pretexts for war

By no means exhaustive, but plenty of context, pretext, & cui bono. Yes Nod

http://lewrockwell.com/orig13/2-sanders-r1.1.1.html

Unless you're a history buff, some of these will be new to you.

For some, you'll remember the spin (to put it nicely) you were fed.

Nurse Nayirah was left off this list.

It's an election year; Paul Craig Roberts thinks someone might be getting ready to add to the list.

If the Wolf ever really does show up ...

Political Chumps!

A segment of Malcolm X's "The Ballot or the Bullet" speech, from 1964.

Ain't nothing changed but the year (and the numbers). LOL

I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it's for or against. I'm a human being first and foremost, and as such I am for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.

Resist!

http://www.forliberty.org.uk/2012/01/02/never-surrender-a-resolution-for-2012-and-beyond/

The courts in this country have ruled that the police have no legal obligation to protect anyone. Why do Law Enforcement Officials always tell civilians not to resist a criminal, while they tell their Officers to always resist and never surrender? Police administrators fear being sued by a civilian victim who gets hurt resisting. Furthermore, the police, like all government agencies derive their power by fostering dependence.
