Even though several of Trump's closest aides and including the Attorney General told him he lost the election, he still told his supporters there was widespread election fraud and they sent him $250 million.

And he has 12 pages worth lies.

Mike Pence's chief legal counsel laid out in a memo the day before Jan. 6, 2021, that the vice president would violate federal law if he bowed to pressure from Trump. It was obvious from Trump's rhetoric on Jan 6 he thought it was Pence's job to do whatever the boss told him to do. And just like with mob bosses, Pence would go to prison while his boss cheated while playing played golf.

Yep, Ivanka was a senior adviser to her father and testified she accepted then-Attorney General Bill Barr’s statement that the Justice Department found no fraud sufficient to overturn the election. If continuing to say he "won by a landslide" with no proof was it, no problem, but it looks like there was a conspiracy to prevent Pence from certifying the election results and some how allow Trump to remain President. The Proud Boys went to the Capital Building an hour before Trump began his speech. If found guilty of Seditious Conspiracy some of the Proud Boys might be in Federal prison for a few years. 

The predictable spin began before the Congressional hearings even started. And I'm not talking the uneducated MAGA people pretending they know something. 

Congresswoman Liz Cheney:

"President Trump believed his supporters at the Capitol, and I quote, were doing what they should be doing. This is what he told his staff as they pleaded with him to call off the mob."

"On this point, there is no room for debate. Those who invaded our Capitol and battled law enforcement for hours were motivated by what President Trump had told them: That the election was stolen, and that he was the rightful president. President Trump summoned the mob, assembled the mob and lit the flame of this attack."

Ask any Trump supporter if they really believed Trump's claims, why weren't they at the Capital Building on Jan. 6?

The committee will probably ask a bunch of soft ball questions and the end results will be what we already know; many of the MAGA disciples are so uneducated, they will do anything they think will please their leader even if it includes hanging the VP. Those that knew better but are still MAGA people will create lots of lies to discuss on Fox News. 

Trump did say "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." so holding him personally responsible is going to be very difficult. Some of the Jan. 6 defendants are saying because of all the "big steal" rethoric combined with "And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore." was a call to go into the Capital Building and stop the certification process.

I'd wait and watch Fox News on Friday but they dropped their "fair and balanced" motto so their opinions might be a little bias.

And while he was there, decided to kill another doctor, a receptionist, and a patient before killing himself.  Ted Cruz called for legislation on locking on all hospital doors and to arm all the doctors, nurses, and receptionists and make them wear flack jackets too. Ted even wants to appoint Uvalde school district police Chief Pete Arredondo as the new Federal gun czar.

That will show those "bad guys with guns". Besides we don't want any of those "good guys with guns" getting shot in the back running away from shooters. 

I hope not.

Newt Gingrich has an interesting plan, he wants to arm and pay the five teachers per school an extra $500 a month. Apparently Newt feels teachers are better equipped to handle school shooters than law enforcement. His proposal probably wasn't serious. It was something to say to the MAGA people watching Fox New. Doubt any of them will understand there are over 131,000 public schools in the U.S.

Newt didn't say what type of firearms the teachers would pack, but according to Ted Cruz, locking the back doors is a much better idea. Ted never explained how long the door would remain locked or how locked doors would effect exiting the building because of fire. 

Nothing will top Herschel Walker saying we need "a department that can look at young men that’s looking at women, that’s looking at their social media ? what about doing that?" So we have a former Republican Speaker of the House wanting to arm teachers and replace police, a sitting Republican Senator saying we have a "door problem" and not a "gun problem" and a Republican Senate candidates wanting a new Federal agency watching young looking at women that are looking at their social media. Wonder what Trump's solution is? 

"Clearly, we need to make it far easier to confine the violent and mentally deranged into mental institutions". Nothing says being deranged and advocating violence more than telling people to march on the Capital Building and overthrow the government. 

"Every school should have a single point of entry, strong fencing and metal detectors, adding there should also be a police official or an armed guard at all times in every school." Let's hope Trump means fire proof schools. It appears Trump didn't get the memo saying there was an armed guard at Cobb Elementary. 

"eliminating gun-free school zones". Good idea, the kids can bring loaded weapons for "show and tell". 

"As the age-old saying goes, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." Yep, packing five to nine year-olds will show those would-be bad guys a thing or two! Weren't the police "good enough guys" to confront the shooter?

And then there is Congresswoman Lauren Boebert saying "When 9/11 happened, we didn't ban planes, we secured the <snip>pits". We didn't ban box cutters either but created the TSA. Someone should tell her why people are forced to take off their shoes going through airport security.

In a couple weeks it will be back to normal until the next school shooting and the next and the next.............

But apparently the police didn't confront the shooter and the gunman was inside for about an hour before law enforcement officials did confront him.. It's possible the police have a real reason why they didn't, but if they do, why are they keeping it a secret?

Witnesses said parents begged officers to go into the elementary school while the gunman was inside. Good thing Border agents drove 40 miles to end the shooting rampage before even more children were killed.

Regardless whether or not all the facts are eventually known, it won't be long before the "do nothing" politicians will be offering their thoughts and prayers after the next mass shooting.

Today it's 14 kids and 1 Teacher dead at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas and several others injured. When will we ever learn?

She knocked on doors asking if the "I voted today" stickers people had were fake and then asked if they use birth control. Ten years ago people would question if this story was even true but today it doesn't get a "how about that".
