Is it Free Speech or aiding and abetting the enemy?

And I'm talking about the negative stuff being said about the current Commander-in-Chief.

IMO, It should be obvious Free Speech, but so is taking a knee at sporting events. As childish as it is, "let's go Brandon" is, it's still Free Speech, To be consistent, will the Colin Kaepernick haters say "let's go Brandon" or any of the other childish insults potentially aiding and abetting the enemy during the current invasion of Ukraine?

"Things would be different if I was in charge"

And then Trump immediately botches what’s really happening in Ukraine. In an interview with Laura Ingraham and after she mentioned unconfirmed reports of a "potential amphibious landing", our former glorious leader got it all wrong.

“But you know what is also very dangerous is, you told me about the amphibious attack by Americans, because you and everyone else shouldn’t know about it. They should do that secretly, not being doing that through the great Laura Ingraham. They should be doing that secretly. Nobody should know that, Laura.”

Not really surprised with Trump confusing "potential amphibious landing" speculation with an actual "amphibious attack by Americans", but hey, he just got finished cheating on his golf score.

Is History repeating?

The current "Make Russia Great Again" movement is reminding lots of Historians of when the National Socialist German Worker’s Party started the "Make Germany Great Again" movement 100 years ago. The number of Woodrow Wilson's Fourteen Points that were ignored and the terms in the Treaty of Versailles are debatable, but in 1935, two years after Adolph Hitler was named Chancellor, Germany began rebuilding its military.

Was annexing Crimea similar retaking the Rhineland? Is deploying Russian troops in the Ukrainian breakaway republics similar to the Nazi division of Czechoslovakia in 1939? Will the ghost of Neville Chamberlain be photographed holding the "Peace for our Time" Munich Pact? Will the entire World be at war by next year?

Won't speak for everyone, but I'm too old to practice "duck and cover" again.

The Hillary obsession.

Have a Blog entry about presidential records taken to Mar-a-Lago and oddly enough the first response was about Hillary Clinton. Found an article where the fixation is called the "Hillary Clinton Derangement Syndrome".

FYI, it's not my opinion, but just something I read that helps explaining the Hillary Obsession.

Presidential Records Act

The Presidential Records Act (PRA) of 1978, 44 U.S.C. §§ 2201–2207, is an  Act of the United States Congress governing the official records of Presidents and Vice Presidents created or received after January 20, 1981, and mandating the preservation of all presidential records.

Probably a good idea giving a link to the actual law because it appears that many of our local MAGA supporters can't use a search engine.

Some of Trump's presidential records were boxed and sent to his golf course and by law required the National Archives to retrieve those records. According to the Archives, "some of the Trump records taken to Mar-a-Lago were clearly marked as classified, including documents at ‘top secret’ level".

Included were correspondence from Kim Jong-un and the map "Mr. Trump famously drew on with a black Sharpie marker to demonstrate the track of Hurricane Dorian heading toward Alabama in 2019 to back up a declaration he had made on Twitter that contradicted weather forecasts".

The tin foil MAGA hat wearing conspiracy theory people will never understand facts and will continue to call the facts "fake news".

Is there a law against taking classified records to your golf course?

National Archives confirms White House records taken by Trump contained classified information. Bet they include pictures of him before he does his usual "tan spray and comb-over".

Can't wait to read how Trump's MAGA allies spin this one. The sad part is some of those classified records could be read by the KGB or Trump's bestie Kim Jong-una. And someone here actually said "the best President since Ronald Reagan".

Wonder how many valuables were found missing from the White House after Trump was evicted?

The never win in court.

The MAGA nonsense and lies are going nowhere in courts especially after Judge Jed S. Rakoff  said, “no reasonable juror could possibly conclude Palin had met her burden of proof". And he was right because "Sarah Palin’s Libel Claim Against The NY Times was rejected by the jury". This fiasco is about the same as when Sidney Powell's lawyer said "no reasonable person would believe her Kraken claim".

But hey, some people will believe anything including that Hillary Clinton personally spied on Trump and watched him putting on an orange colored diaper.

Was the 2022 halftime show the best ever?

Not my opinion because never saw all the Super Bowl halftime performances and I didn't watch last night. But some fans are saying it was the "best ever". From what I've read and heard, it was hip-hop and aimed at the younger generation so I'm betting the people not liking hip-hop and older people probably didn't like it.

Singer's powerful take on the National Anthem

This article is about a Super Bowl prop bet, but we had to hear yet another "take" on how our National Anthem should be sung. Granted it's subjective, but I always thought Whitney Houston's rendition was one of the best simply because she sang the words compared to yesterday's screaming of the words.

As for instrumental playing of the National Anthem, Jimi Hendrix's guitar anti-war version made taking a knee by comparison look very lame.
