Make that the last two number 1 seeds bites the dust because both Houston and Alabama lost. This is the first time in tournament history when none of the number 1 seeds were in the elite 8. There were only four times with just one number 1 seed.

Couple reasons for this years parody with the transfer portal and many players getting an extra year because of the covid. Kentucky has five four year players all with another year of eligibility. 

The only thing that could make this years tourney even more weird is if number 15 seed Princeton makes the elite 8 and then the final four.

A player needed four more points to pass Pete Maravich's all time scoring record, but his team didn't get an invite to any of the post season tourneys. It's similar to when Roger Maris need 162 baseball games to hit one more home run than Babe Ruth did in 156 games. 

Antoine Davis played in 144 games in five seasons and Pete played in only 88 games in three season and played when there was no three point baskets. Davis' team Detroit Mercy had a 14-19 record so any invitation to a tourney just so he could break the record, would have made a mockery out of NCAA scoring records.

Even though Purdue was only the second one seed in tournament history to lose in the first round, the last perfect bracket out of 20 million lost before the outcome of that game. It's difficult enough picking the Sweet Sixteen much correctly picking 67 50/50 outcomes necessary to get a perfect bracket. 

Still have a couple brackets with Houston and Alabama but they are the only two teams left in my final four. 

The Women's tourney had one perfect bracket out of 2.081 million until Mississippi knocked off #1 seed Stanford.

Because according to Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, "they" are coming for them. Fox News Entertainment likes to use the word "woke" when they pretend they know what they are talking about or spreading false information. But one would think a US Senator would know better.

Scott in Florida of all places wants to make cuts in SS payments, Graham in South Carolina wants to start WWIII because an unmaned drone was struck by a Russian jet, and Greene wants to nuke Mexico because she heard that someone saw something that looked like a bomb near the border. 

Don't get me started on Kennedy, Santos, or Boebart. Considering what the Fox hosts said about Trump, we can only imagine what they say about this group.

It's an ethical and moral term used to describe the decision a journalist must make about whether or not to write and print a newspaper story that may or may not ultimately prove to be true and that may or may not damage an individual's reputation.

And Fox Entertainment News will claim that is exactly how they reported about Dominion. Fox's problem is their documents prove their reporting was malicious. Pretty sure Rupert Murdoch will settle with Dominion and fire most of his entertainers.

It's one thing when Karen Taylor-Greene want to send our military into Mexico, but Graham should know better.  MTG wants to bomb the cartels, but never explained why Mexico would not look at that as an act of war.

Over hundred years ago Woodrow Wilson sent American troops under the command of General John Pershing into Mexico to capture of kill Poncho Villa. That could have created a serious world problem had we went to war against Mexico about the same time WWI was getting started. 

I'm all for stopping illegal drugs from entering the U.S. but it's still a "supply and demand" issue. Don't have a solution to stop our dopers from buying fentanyl from Mexican dealers, but starting a war with Mexico won't stop them.

A local MAGA Kool-Aid drinker posted a link to another election denier's blog that actually says Fox News was part of nation wide conspiracy to rig the 2020 presidential election so Biden would win. Yep the same Fox News that being sued for $billions by Dominion.

They are compelled to believe it; didn't Humpty Dumpty Trump say the Georgia Grand Jury totally exonerated from the claim that he attempted interfered with the 2020 Georgia election. 

Sad as it is, this stuff is not made up.

...........what posters wondering why "congrats to the winner" and "happy birthday" get down votes are called. I got a -3 for posting "thanks" and didn't whine but our resident "pool with four players buying just one lottery ticket" tried to make it look like I did. 

Instead of discussing playing and winning lottery games, but like the MAGA Trump people, they're misrepresenting what real lottery players say.

Even if we pretend the Supreme Court never ruled state succession is unconstitutional, Florida, Texas, and Georgia would never join a new country where they must subsidize the other members. Have no idea why a member of Congress that a just month ago solemnly swore (or affirm) that she will support and defend the Constitution of the United States would violate their oath of office.

While most people in Congress are trying to promote things that benefit all Americans, Taylor-Greene wants to dismantle America. It's no wonder that Republican Governor Spencer Cox called Taylor-Greene's proposal evil.

And that includes the suspect that took their own life. Because they died, might never find out the shooters motives. Almost five years to the day after the Parkland, Florida Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.

Heard some excerpts from the State of the Union Republican Party response by Governor Sanders of Arkansas mentioning many things that certainly help to divide America. She made a couple suggestions that could divide the Republican Party too including "It's time for a new generation of Republican leadership," she continued, adding that the party will be the "change makers" for the American people.

Sure looks like Huckasand is throwing the 76 year-old former President under the bus!
