Lock him up!

Even though less than a dozen classified documents were found in a locked closet in Biden's former office, the House Republicans are getting very excited! And I for one are very happy for them because they were handed something to investigate.

Hopefully this will keep them occupied and shelf their plans to gut Social Security.

Where, oh where, are you tonight?

"Where, oh where, are you tonight?
Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the House over and I thought I'd found true love.
But you met another and pthhp! You was gone."

Kevin McCarthy was heard singing that today.

As long as old women talk about old men.

The Randy Travis "Forever and ever, Amen" song apparently is about what the MAGA women think about Trump.

"I'm gonna love Trump forever and ever Forever and ever, forever and ever Forever and ever, amen"

And how dare anyone say anything against the future Graybar Hotel residence .

It's starting to look like indictments.

But that's just according to a panel of federal prosecutors. If found guilty, both the charges in New York and in Georgia carry prison time. The best he can expect from federal charges is a life time ban from running for office.

All Trump had to do is lay low for a couple years and run again. He could try an insanity plea but doubt he would do that.

"I JUST WANT TO FIND 11,780 VOTES"

Chapter 2

"In a now infamous telephone call on January 2, 2021, President Trump pressured Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for more than an hour."

"And then the President made his demand. “So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have,” President Trump told Raffensperger. It was a stunning moment. The President of the United States was asking a State’s chief election officer to “find” enough votes to declare him the winner of an election he lost.

Probably the most known example of asking an elected election official to break the law by tampering with votes and disenfranchising thousands of voters. Several other elected state elected elections officials were also asked to either break their state's election laws. Some Republican state legislations actually considered creating false Electoral College electors so Mike Pence could use those illegal results.

Whether or not many of them including Trump will be charged and convicted remains to be seen.

Mike Pence says "it would hurt the country"

"should the Justice Department bring criminal charges against Donald Trump." But I guess Mike is fine with sending an armed angry mob to the Capital Building. Who did he think those people erecting a make shift gallows and chanting "hang Mike Pence" were talking about?

Guess Mike wants another 2 minutes of fame before rejoining the Dan Quayle, Walter Mondale, and Bob Dole inconsequential one term VP team. Nelson Rockefeller's three years in office and not even nominated for a full term puts him into a league of his own.

Mike should look up "clear and present danger" before suggesting anything to the JD.

January 6 committee.

Nothing I can add to their recommendations, but I'll listen to any "for or against" comments.

Darn it, I was shut out!

I was pretty sure the Donald Trump presidential digital trading card card collection  would sell out faster than the Tug Benson collection, but in just one day is crazy. Especially when the Trump cards are one for $99 with no guarantee the next one they buy will be a duplicate.

Hopefully 2023 will be a slow news year

But I doubt that will happen especially with all the ongoing investigations into the very strange affairs of the former President.

Seems like with the orange elephant still in the room the "us vs them" debates will continue maybe into the 2024 elections. The one thing all of us should be against is the disinformation and childish name calling. Time will tell if that stops.

Medical Marijuana

Didn't know until today that Brittney Griner got 9 years in a Russian prison because they found less than a gram of cannabis in her luggage along with a prescription for it from her doctor. In about 25% of states, she could be charged with a misdemeanor and get up to 15 days in jail and/or fined for the same thing. Though some of those states allow less than an gram with medical prescription and no charges.

Russia would only swap Griner for the merchant of death making it difficult to say what they are asking for Whelan. Government secrets can be taken off the bargaining table because the Russians already got those from Mar-A-Lago.
