Noem wants the 4th Amendment suspended!

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has said ICE agents may ask some Americans for proof of citizenship while carrying out operations.

The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects individuals from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government, requiring warrants based on probable cause supported by oath, and particularly describing the place to be searched and things to be seized, safeguarding privacy in homes, persons, papers, and effects.

Noem wants her ICE to be above the law ignoring that reasonable articulable suspicion suggesting a crime is happening, happened, or is about to happen to legally demand ID. And don't forget Noem's boss wants the 14th Amendment to go away too. But hey, Trump said he's making America great by lowering your health care cost by 300%!

If my voting precinct is an indicator...

.... record numbers of people voted. I was surprise at the number of people voting today considering 792,000 people voted early statewide. If the results are under 60%, it might be a long night for the orange guy.

We'll know in about 20 minutes.

Fake news, misleading headlines, or both?

With all the podcasts and You Tube wana-be reporters it's not unusual three or more totally different reports on the same story. The lastest addition are the "floating island of garbage" headlines. Saw one saying "Trump called Puerto Rico that" and another saying "The Puerto Ricans thought it was a very funny joke". From there many comments are made depending on which side those people are on.

Wonder how many misleading headlines will see on Wedneday morning?

Why look at the "polls" to reach bias conclusion?

The Newsweek polls change by the hour and not unusual to see them reporting one candidate way ahead at in a state poll at noon and way behind in the same state a couple hours later. Just the fact over 66 million people voted early making the polls useless.

Lots of LP posters talk about using past drawing data to predict future outcomes so instead of looking at the results of loaded question polls, look at past election results.

The Supreme Court gives First Amendment Auditors a win.

By taking away qualified immunity from police when they illegally detained and/or arrest an auditor. Many people and some police believe permission is needed to film someone, but the Supreme Court ruled anything we can see in public, we can film.

Ego was a big factor and why people were illegally detained and sometimes arrested and held until superior officers showed up. And some of them didn't understand that filming in public is a Constitutional protected activity. Without qualified immunity police officers are now responsible for some if not all monetary awards for illegal arrests and detainments.

"Is anyone else going to faint; raise your hand?"

And then Trump abruptly stopped taking questions at a PA town hall, skipping the questions and answers, and began playing music for nearly 45 minutes. It's getting more weird and really silly every day.

But there is at least one plus, Kristi Noem didn't talk about killing more dogs or goats!

Knowing he is going to be fact checked...

....... why does he lie?

On Monday Trump said, President Joe Biden was “sleeping” and not responding to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who he said was “calling the president and hasn’t been able to get him.” But Governor Kemp said,

“The president just called me yesterday afternoon and I missed him and called him right back and he just said ‘Hey, what do you need?’ And I told him, you know, we’ve got what we need, we’ll work through the federal process,” Kemp said. “He offered if there are other things we need just to call him directly, which I appreciate that.”

Anyone that lost someone to covid in 2020 remember the lies Trump told about the corona virus in the Spring and Summer of that year. Trump suggested every thing from some how putting ultraviolet light into our bodies to injecting disinfectant. Said it "will be over with very soon" four years ago and people are still catching it 4 years later.

Add the incompetence of not having a plan of how to distribute the vaccine to his lies he knows will be fact checked along with his obvious cognitive dissonance, is Trump really mentally capable of being even a below average president.?

Or is the grand plan to have Vance invoke the 25th Amendment and take out Trump?

Trump says those who criticize the Supreme Court should be tossed in jail

At a rally on Monday, saying people should be jailed for “the way they talk about our judges and our justices” – despite the First Amendment allowing people to criticize the government.

But Trump said that "Judge Merchan's gag order was “illegal, un-American, unConstitutional.” in one of his moronic rants on his social media. It's fact that Trump blasted his trial judges at city, state, Federal, and even Supreme court Justices.  And says nothing when his fans call for violence.

It's really not about our First Amendment Right because Trump has the Right to say any outrageously stupid thing that comes to his feeble mind. However it's about his cognitive dissonance and the fact he is not mentally fit to be President.

The fool is still talking about illegal migrants eating dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio with zero evidence. The poor old guy is a danger to himself and others. Why can't his wife and children see it?

The Dow Jones was at 31,188.38 on January 21. 2021

And it closed at 42,025.19 today! That's an increase of 34.7% in less than four years. Wonder how many of the billionaires took advantage of that?

The day after the debate, someone here posted "the DOW was down 657.86", but it was actually up 100 when I read their blog entry late in the day. I get it, whatever it takes to make your guy look better regardless of the the facts.

Do you have a U.S. Passport?

If H.R.8281 - SAVE Act  is passed, every voter will need documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in Federal elections. That means getting a U.S. Passport, a certified birth certificate, or a certificate of citizenship issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

If passed, it doesn't say when it will go into effect, but I certainly hope it won't be for the Federal election in less than two months. The number of passports has risen after "911"  and about 160.7 million are in circulation. Shouldn't be too big a problem providing they are all part of the 164.1 million registered voters.

Because I have passport, I think it's a great idea, but probably not for the voters without one. I strongly disagree with tying the SAVE Act to a government funding bill especially two weeks before the funding expires and less than two months before the election. Knowing how politically stupid it would be not pass government funding, Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson is still trying to include the SAVE Act. Even Sen Mitch McConnell says it's really a dumb idea before an election.

Why Congress can't work together to help all Americans is a topic for another time.

S.4361 - Border Act of 2024

Was a bipartisan bill that funded more and better border security and probably would pass hadn't former President Trump told the Republican leaders in both the House and Senate to not pass the bill. Many including Republicans believed at that time, he wanted to use it as a campaign issue. Doubt they thought him and JD Vance would use with no bases to claim legal immigrants in Springfield, Ohio were eating dogs and cats.

Vance said, “The American media totally ignored this stuff until Donald Trump and I started talking about cat memes. If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that’s what I’m going to do,”

The Haitians in Springfield are legal and came to Springfield to work. "Ohio is on the move, and Springfield has really made a great resurgence with a lot of companies coming in. These Haitians came in to work for these companies," according to Ohio Republican Governor Mike DeWine and added, "What the companies tell us is that they are very good workers.

But hey, lying and exploiting with false information is a Trump trade mark. And know it appears Trump's Padawan is learning fast.

Found an article where the author obviously did the research and explained part of the problem is with loopholes in immigration laws that opened the doors to making fraudulent asylum claims . "The reality is that some 90% of those apprehended at the U.S. border have not been persecuted or tortured in any way and are making fraudulent asylum claims".

Why do people believe the border problem is someone else's problem when it was Trump that killed the Border Act?

He said what?

MAGA pastor and evangelical leader Lance Wallnau has accused Vice President Kamaia Harris of using "witchcraft" during Tuesday's presidential debate.

That explains Trump's "they are eating dogs and cat" remarks. Everybody knows Trump would never say something that stupid without the help of voodoo dolls.

It happened near the NFL Hall of Fame!

In Canton, Ohio .

A police officer says he saw blood and fur on her lips. The good news is the alleged and obviously deranged woman is in custody and wasn't a Haitian immigrant.

The people 175 miles away in Springfield, Ohio can stop guarding their pets 24/7. However the Haitian community and anyone that "looks like" them are probably still on alert.

Just a suggestion to Trump and Vance, stop listening to conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer especially after repeating it in front of 67 million viewers.

Oklahoma Schools ordered to teach from the bible

Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters to teach Bible lessons in public school classrooms.   Walters’ mandate to force bible lessons on students comes as many Republican-led states have pushed for more religion — specifically Christianity — in public schools.

Forget the fact the First Amendment prohibits an establishment of religion, some of the things written in the bible are very problematic.  Exodus 21:2-11 and Leviticus 25:44-46 not only condone slavery, it explains how slave owners can trick their Hebrew slaves and the correct way to beat their slaves.

A survey revealed that of the 54 superintendents who responded, 46 stated that they would not be pushing for their teachers to teach from the Bible. Doesn't say which of the thousands of Christian Dogmas they will be required to teach.

Some of the recent grads can't even make change so it makes one wonder where Walter's and the state of Oklahoma's priorities are.
