December 31, 2020, 3:06 pmFake news or misleading social media entries?

Headlines: The Kentucky Secretary of State removed the names of 33,696 dead voters.

Lots of people are saying the people in Kentucky that voted for McConnell are dead from the neck up, but there is no evidence any one on the "deceased" list voted. Unless there is solid communication between the state Board of Elections and county Health Departments, thousands could remain on the registered voter list. People move and to my knowledge there is no requirement notify the Board of Election.

In the past year efforts were made by social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc to monitor what people posted and because of it some people are saying it violates their 1st Amendment Right. Most forget or don't understand they checked a TOS box and agreed to the site's conditions when they signed up.

IMO, it looks much different when saying Sec of State Michael Adams found and removed the names of 33,696 registered voters that passed away.

December 30, 2020, 1:49 pmTrump pardon of Blackwater Iraq contractors violates international law

The U.N. human rights experts said the pardons violated U.S. obligations under international law. The question from an American point of view is "are the pardons of employees of the private security firm Blackwater owned by Trump's education secretary Betsy DeVos' brother legal". And if they are, the pardons will stand, if not I suppose they will be rounded up and put back into prison.

Though I find these pardons rather strange and questionable, IMO these pardons are part of the legal pardon process under Article Two, Section 2, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution,

December 29, 2020, 4:30 pmNo $2000 for you says McConnell

A motion was made in the Senate to pass the direct $2000 payment bill by unanimous consent, but Mitch blocked that vote and gave no indication when the full Senate would vote on it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't President Trump ask for the $2000 in direct payments and doesn't Mitch belong to the same political party as President Trump?

December 28, 2020, 9:46 pm$1.3 billion in military financing to Egypt.

And that's about the same amount we gave to Egypt every year since 1987. Read where it adds up to about $51 billion since the 1978 Camp David Accords and the 1979 Egypt-Israel Treaty of Peace. As for necessity and strategic importance, President George H. W. Bush forgave all of Egypt's $7.1 billion military debt just before the first Gulf War.

Many people are saying they are "happy getting $600" and the $1.3 billion going to Egypt is just one example of why some House and Senate members don't think our country can afford direct payments of even $1200. The final House vote on the motion to suspend the rules and pass: H R 9051 CASH Act was 275-134.

My Congressman voted "nay" and at least one of my Senators will probably vote "nay" when they get their turn.

December 27, 2020, 8:52 pmYour $600 check is in the mail!

Even though he demanded "wasteful spending items" be removed, Trump still signed the $900 billion relief package. School House Rock taught us a bill becomes law after being signed by the President, but we're talking about Trump.

December 27, 2020, 12:39 pmDear Mr. President

By Pink,

Come take a walk with me
Let's pretend we're just two people and
You're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly
What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street?
Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep?
What do you feel when you look in the mirror?
Are you proud?
How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why?
Dear Mr. President
Were you a lonely boy? (Are you a lonely boy?)
Are you a lonely boy?
(Are you a lonely boy?)
How can you say
No child is left behind?
We're not dumb, and we're not blind
They're all sitting in your cells
While you pave the road to hell
What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away?
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay?
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine
How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye?
Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Minimum wage with a baby on the way
Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away
Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Building a bed out of a cardboard box
Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
You don't know nothing 'bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
How do you sleep at night?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Dear Mr. President
You'd never take a walk with me
Would you?

December 23, 2020, 5:55 pmHow about Fort Benedict Arnold?

Trump does have a point because many of military bases named after a Civil War hero were named while many of the veterans from both the North and the South were still living. There is a consistency in the fact most of the Forts were named after a famous Civil War hero born and/or lived in that state. For instance Ft. Lee in Virginia, Ft. Hood in Texas, and Ft. Gordon in Georgia.

There is also the history of some these Forts that has absolutely nothing to do with who they are named for. While Ft. Benning, Georgia is named for a Confederate General, it became famous for it's infantry school and where General George Patton organized the 2nd Armor Division. I was stationed at both Benning and Hood, but never once wondered how they got their name.

IMO, see no evidence that any of these military installations were named to annoy, insult, or discriminate. Times change, but there should be more public discussion than simply trying to be politically correct. The next question is the new names, how they will be decided, and will they pass the test of time.

December 21, 2020, 7:23 pmOMG. Finally proof of voting fraud!!

Bruce Bartman, of Delaware County, Pennsylvania was charged with voter fraud. The 70 year old voted for his dead mother and even registered his dead mother-in-law to vote. Prosecutors said it was the only voter fraud case they found after hundreds of tips.

He registered Online using driver's license and the last four of their SS numbers. The mother-in-law registration was flagged and a letter was sent to confirm whether she was alive. Bartman lied on the form and pretended to be his mother-in-law, but didn't request an absentee ballot.

According to the conservative Heritage Foundation, there were only 193 voter fraud convictions out of 250 million votes cast in the last 20 years. It looks like Sidney and Rudy never got that memo.

Did I mention that Bartman voted for Trump and other Republican when he voted for his deceased mother?

December 19, 2020, 2:19 pmWhy is Senator Ron Johnson now concerned about the deficit?

Especially when there are two Senate seats in Georgia up for grabs and those two seats could determine the control of the Senate. There is a bi-partisan $1200 stimulus proposal on the table in the senate and Republican Senator Johnson is trying to block it. I really doubt people will be putting the money under their mattresses so it should be obvious most of that money will go right back into a very fragile economy.

Just when people thought all the political confusion was nearing an end, Johnson a very close Trump ally is worried about the deficit after Trump suggested a $2000 stimulus payment. Maybe someone can explain Johnson's logic when some people are out of work for over 9 months, virus cases and deaths are setting daily records.

And don't get me started on Congress passing "free Internet connection for everybody". Some people have to park at Walmart, fast food places, and some church parking lots just so their kids can keep up with their school work.

December 18, 2020, 11:17 pmSuspending the Constitution!

Another idea that just doesn't fit reality.

"The Suspension Clause protects liberty by protecting the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus. It provides that the federal government may not suspend this privilege except in extraordinary circumstances: when a rebellion or invasion occurs and the public safety requires it."

With no real proof of election fraud, extraordinary circumstances must be defined and proved. And I doubt "I can't believe I lost the election" will sway the Supreme Court especially when Justice Amy Barrett wrote the common interpretation.

The idea of declaring martial law and the military holding another election might be not only be the dumbest idea of the year, but might make the top five all time dumb ideas.

All Trump had to do was tell the truth about covid-19, listen to the doctors, and give solid advice to the American people. But he decided to lie about the virus, not listen to doctors and scientists and made many confusing statements like using disinfectants to treat covid-19 to the American people.

And people really wonder why he lost?

December 16, 2020, 3:47 pm"Should declare martial law!"

Yep, Amanda Chase (Virginia Republican Gubernatorial contender) actually said Trump should declare martial law, temporarily suspend the Constitution, and remain on as the president. And with zero proof of any voting fraud, Chase said, troops would “go and seize these [voting] machines and voting equipment to find the voter fraud. There needs to be a national audit.”

I didn't vote using a machine, but did place my ballot into a vote tabulation machine. Have no idea how anyone could find fraud in that process, but it's used because the punch card method used in 2000 proved to be a disaster with the opportunity of fraud waiting to happen. I won't even pretend to have any knowledge of how any President could legally declare martial law just because they lost re-election and really doubt she does either.

Some of the Trump supporters are getting into some pretty weird stuff and some with petitions demanding "an overthrow of the U.S. Government". Lincoln didn't declare marital law when 11 states seceded from the union 1861 and neither did FDR when Pearl Harbor was hit. Isn't about time to stop drinking the Kool-Aid?

December 12, 2020, 6:35 pmWhen asked for proof of election fraud...

........... “I don’t have proof that men landed on the moon in 1969, because I wasn’t there,” Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-Calif.)

And he "wasn't there" watching vote counting in all 50 states either. There is no proof, just an assumption there had to fraud because Trump lost. He should be asked if there was widespread fraud in his state California; enough fraud to overturn over 4 million more votes for Biden.

Just when lots of people believed Trump's defeat would stop the division in OUR country, have over 100 Republican House Reps from other states telling voters "their vote doesn't count" based on mythical fraud proves the division is alive and well.

December 10, 2020, 10:56 pmA Quick Question.

Noticed that many of the non-lottery Blogs use links and some with comments. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong by just posting my opinion on stuff with a few links sprinkled in. Maybe it's because when someone gives their opinion, I'd like to at least have the chance to question them. And I'm pretty sure Rush, Alex, Tucker, Shawn, Rudy, and Sidney ain't LP members.

December 8, 2020, 8:19 pmWait until it gets to the Supreme Court!

The wait is over and hopefully so are all the baseless lawsuits. Can sort of understand people getting passionately involved in something. but this "something" is based on lies and relying on the ignorance. Found a timeline with a list of lies lots of MAGA people believed including some of the over 280.000 on the death list.
