convicted felons more oft then not have their 2nd amendment priveldges revoked. This fellow may have broken that stature by carrying or housing a weapon .

This lady is pouring gas on an already inflamed criminal matter, by bailing him out.

Bottom line is money cannot buy good character or sound judgment.

This woman is as dumb as a box of rocks, I called it when she won the lottery and it just continues. She is a self-fulfilling prophecy. If she has any money left after 5 years it will be a miracle, she's going to make Mike Tyson look like a financial genius.

it could all end for her, she could spend $1 mill on  getting a witness protection style shift to another state, and leave the bum in jail. move never contact anyone form her old life, life in a gated community/ drive a lexus, stay off the drugs and alcohol, and enjoy the wealth and watch her kids grow up in a healthy environment.  live off the interest and pay your taxes.  its all there. only she has to take the leap into freedom. leave it all behind you can afford it.

          By Todd Northrop

The man engaged to the North Carolina woman who claimed a Powerball lottery jackpot share worth $188 million earlier this year was placed back in jail for the third time in less than a year on Monday.

Lamarr Andre McDow, also known as "Hot Sauce," was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

A spokeswoman for the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office said that McDow turned himself in after being indicted on the charge. He was processed out of the jail a short time later.

Last November, McDow was arrested on heroin charges. While he was behind bars, Marie Holmes, McDow's fiancé, was one of three winners who split a $564 million Powerball jackpot. Holmes's share was worth $188 million, and she took home $88 million after taxes when she decided to take the lump sum. (See N.C. Powerball lottery winner claims share of jackpot worth $188 million, Lottery Post, Feb. 24, 2015.)

Prosecutors said Holmes paid McDow's $3 million bond just a week after her lottery win.

In July, McDow was arrested a second time for violating the terms of his curfew after his March release.

When deputies went to pick McDow up at the home that he shares with Holmes, they smelled marijuana and found a gun that belonged to him. Holmes and several other people in the home were cited for possession. (See $188 million lottery winner arrested on marijuana charges, Lottery Post, July 27, 2015.)

Shortly after his arrest, he was released from jail on a $6 million bond.

(See NC lottery winner spent $9M bailing out convict fiancé, Lottery Post, Aug. 15, 2015.)

Holmes, who at the time of her lottery claim planned to use the winnings to open college funds for her four children, as well as buy a new house, is unfortunately heading down the same life path as numerous other big winners who did not successfully manage their windfall.

There is no way in hell this man has done all this <snip> in just a few months!!!! No one knows anybody that has been arrested three times in one year! They want that girls lottery winnings so they keep arresting her man and they know she's going to bail him out.  Hot sauce should get his life together and they should move! This is all a ploy to make us look bad and leave her broke!

No way?  Way!  From this article: McDow faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

That was when the cops arrested him for violating the terms of his bond.  His original arrest was for drug trafficking.  This arrest was for possession of a firearm.  While I can't recall the particulars, it seems like the pistol was registered to someone else but his prints were on it, hence the "possession" charge. I'm sure he and his lawyer were informed of the possibility of other charges being filed in the future and since he turned himself in, I'm sure he was expecting this. (or at least his lawyer had advised him;  it's apparent his client is not the sharpest knife in the drawer)

While it might seem the police have a vendetta against him, a grand jury is responsible for the indictment.   A jury is supposed to be made up of one's peers, but I doubt there were any human stain heroin dealers on the panel.  The GJ is simply doing their duty and bringing charges, good for them!

Yes, she should move, but since he's a felon pending trial, I'm sure there's a limit as to just where he can move.  I'm betting his next move will be to one of these places.

She's a lovely young woman, who has millions of dollars in the bank.  She doesn't need this drug dealing leech; she should just dump his drug riddled butt & move on to someone who can actually hold down a legal job...

Shes better off by herself for now so she can raise her kids and focus on their well being .Its kind of hard to feel sorry for her when she is blowing this great blessing up in smoke running behind a no good thug Lamar McDow .If she becomes destitute again it is probaly for her own good.Shes turning her blessing into a curse. She continues to make unwise decisions and im sure this will not be the last time we here about Marie Holmes and Lamar McDow.

The way she is going she is going to lose all her money by next year she should of started a new beginning for her and her children and give them a better future instead of exposing them to drugs, guns and violence all because of a man who can't learn to straighten out his bad ways. Hot sauce is a bad influence for her children and for her, love hurts and leaving a partner is hard but her children should be her main priority now.

                        I Agree!

I hope they don't live together, & he get out again, then arrested with more drug and ect in her home, with her children their. Wow she would stand to lose more than her winnings. She could lose her Children. Lady "Let this guy go, he don't mean you no good at all".  You could stand to lose your Children, which means alot more than your money.  LET HIM GO.

3 times in a year is impossible?

I know people that have been arrested 3 times in 2 days.

Some people are to stupid to stay outta jail.

Heroin, guns and violations of parole are a good start if you want to

Be picked up by the cops. She's an idiot too to drop 9 mil  on a guy

Who will put her money in jeopardy  like that. If she was smart

She'd be the one to bail on that loser.
