Winner who claimed half of $395 million Mega Millions jackpot sues California Lottery for other half
Ridiculous lawsuit by a greedy person. Longstanding lottery policy is that jackpots are divided amongst winning tickets. No second valid winning ticket was presented and denied. I find it unbelievable that he would have divided up the tickets and stored them in different places.

Winner of $139 million Powerball lottery jackpot from Ohio has less than a month to claim it
I wonder how many big jackpots go unclaimed? Would be interesting to know what happened if someone tried to claim it after expiration date (some states are 180 days). Would they have a legal claim?

California man says he's waited nine weeks for $44 million Powerball lottery jackpot payout
I believe there should be a cooling off period for jackpots. With the excitement of a massive win, many winners can make impulsive decisions that they may come to regret. The UK National Lottery offers winners financial advice, along with the right to anonymity, which is very helpful for people with newfound wealth. All lotteries should offer similar advice.

Mega Millions confirms ticket price increase to $5, other changes coming April 2025
That price increase lets me out of playing. While I like Mega Millions and it's huge jackpots, the price per line will stop me from playing. That price point is too much. Would rather spend $5 on 5 chances at the Texas Lotto. A win would still make me a millionaire, and have more chances to win for the same investment.

One lottery ticket sold in Texas wins $800 million Mega Millions jackpot
By Kate Northrop
After a run of 27 drawings without a jackpot winner, the 28th drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery game produced a single $800 million winner last night when one ticket sold in Texas matched all five numbers plus the Mega Ball.
The winner will now have to choose between being paid $800 million in 30 annually-increasing payments over 29 years or the lump-sum estimated cash value of $404.2 million.
According to USA Mega's Mega Millions Jackpot Analysis , af

Virginia man "ready to give up" wins $2.2 million lottery jackpot on last try
So 2 jackpot wins online for Woodbridge in a few weeks. This gentleman and then a lady who won The Loot game for $5.3 million. I guess I live in the wrong area for the jackpots, they seem to win big in the Tidewater and Northern Virginia area.

Rhode Island university president forgot about $1 million Mega Millions lottery ticket in a drawer
This is exactly why I only buy tickets online. If you win, you get an email with the news. If it is a low level prize, it is automatically credited to your lottery account. For larger prizes and jackpots, you are invited to make a claim. You don't have to worry about loosing or forgetting your ticket. I couldn't go back to paper tickets.

One California winner of $395 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot comes forward
I've had a clerk accidentally run my payslip twice. I have played the same numbers twice hoping to get two small jackpots if nothing else. I have also purchased two separate payslips to hopefully share with a friend if I won. So anything is possible. I just wish Ca would be more transparent on whether they were quick pics or not.

New Jersey woman to take legal action against Atlantic City casino after being refused $2.5M payout
Megabucks to name a few are all linked together from Laughlin all the way to the casinos in Stateline, NV (Lake Tahoe)
That's was my point on how to get multi million jackpots and a $40 million Megabucks jackpot was paid out about 20 years ago. Read about a $1,037,828 jackpot won a $25 machine at the Venetian so it's possible though the article doesn't state what denomination she was playing. Many machines have six figure jackpots but require betting the maximum to win the jackpot and it's
