$1.33 billion Powerball jackpot won by one ticket sold in Oregon
Mine too! I could get a lot accomplished on a personal level with that. I think of the bigger jackpot wins as being me and my circle of loved ones . The bigger jackpots mean considerable time going into careful management. Smaller = fewer complications. (usually, of course)

$1.23 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
You watch: PB MM will be merged into one huge national lottery with a matrix of 5/85 1/45. It's just a matter of time before 1 billion+ jackpots become normal and not enticing enough.

One New Jersey ticket is sole winner of $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot
Ok I don't know if anyone else is thinking the same as me but isn't anyone else finding this suspicious that the last 4 or 5 jackpots have hit on over the one billion mark?

$1.7 billion in combined jackpots, as USA multi-state lottery games peak together
It would be shocking to see Mississippi win a Mega Millions or Powerball lottery jackpot since Mississippi is new to the jackpot lotteries as of 2020. It seems like the more lottery vending machines a state has the better chance a state has of winning the jackpot. This is why California has won the most recent jackpots because the now have the most lottery vending machines in more locations than any other state in the US

Accusations of "disturbing" new claims procedures after Allwyn sends investigator to winner's home
$4000/yr on State lotteries! Take that and instead invest in bitcoin in a Roth IRA account for the last 10 years. The amount in the retirement account would be greater than almost all jackpots. And taxes on gains would already be accounted for, so no tax bite of 40% to 50% like with a State lotto jackpot win.

Mega Millions and Powerball offer $1.11 billion in combined lottery jackpots
A lottery pool does not greatly increase your chances of winning when there are over 300 million combinations and adding 59 more to your few plays doesn't even register a .000001% increased percentage of winning it. Many accurately say they would be happy with 1 or 2 million with that 2nd prize. So why not play lotteries with more than half the matrix with jackpots in that range.

Mega Millions and Powerball offer $1.11 billion in combined lottery jackpots
Dude, MOST people who play the lottery on a regular basis LIKE the HUGE jackpots. The lottery officials know this and is the reason they will NOT be going back to the old matrix.

Mega Millions and Powerball offer $1.11 billion in combined lottery jackpots
I liked it better when we weren't being lied to about the jackpots restarting at $40M ( last for the PB was on 2-15-2020) not the $20M(starting on 4-11-2020) figure they blamed on Covid. I also liked it better when the Cash to Annuity value was at 66% and not this mere 47% jargon.....Gotta take the good with the bad I suppose....Onward we go..Best of luck to everyone that participates.

Mega Millions and Powerball offer $1.11 billion in combined lottery jackpots
This I like. 5.00 a ticket will get the pikers to stop playing yet the jackpots would increase quicker and with less numbers they would get hit more often with a normal amount of money won by more instead of these ridiculous amounts.

DC man sues the lottery after incorrect numbers posted on website would have won him $340 million
Ahh...throw the guy a million. Rules, schmules! They can afford it now with high interest rates and the overinflated jackpots only paying 47% of face value -instead of 60% plus not too long ago.....
