Ten years after selling the first Mega Millions lottery ticket in the state, Wisconsin finally had its first jackpot winner come forward to claim a $120 million Mega Millions prize from the Sept. 15 drawing.

A bill that would allow lottery winners to remain anonymous in Wisconsin will go before a State Assembly committee next week.

The biggest Megabucks jackpot won since 2015 nears expiration
The clock is ticking for a Wisconsin lottery winner to claim a $5.9 million lottery jackpot.
Wisconsin Lottery officials said Monday the winning Megabucks ticket was sold Jan. 16 at the Kwik Trip on South Taylor Drive in Sheboygan.
The prize must be claimed by July 15 the end of the 180-day window for a winner to claim a lottery prize.
The winning Megabucks numbers drawn on Jan. 16, 2019, were 1, 5, 28, 29, 37, and 44.
