The mastermind behind a national lottery scam says he warned officials about a glitch in computer-generated drawings 11 years ago, but nobody seemed too worried, his lawyer revealed in an exclusive interview.
The same glitch involving identical numbers drawn consecutively or nearly consecutively occurred again in the past two weeks in Arizona, prompting state officials to offer players a refund.

After Robert Rhodes collected a Wisconsin Lottery jackpot that had been rigged by his friend Eddie Tipton, he used the windfall for an investment scheme that produced another wave of undeserved government money, court records show.

Eddie Tipton, the now-infamous former security chief at the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), is accused of installing software on Random Number Generators that allowed him to predict winning combinations for drawings that occurred on three dates every non-leap year Nov. 23, Dec. 29 and May 27.

Time is nearly out for a Wisconsin lottery player to claim a huge win.
A winning $1 million Powerball ticket was sold on Madison's east side for the Aug. 6 drawing, Wisconsin Lottery officials said.

$1M winning lottery ticket sold in Wisconsin goes unclaimed
The Powerball ticket could be at the bottom of a garbage can. Or wedged into a glove compartment. Perhaps it went through the laundry, never to be seen again.

Wyoming Lottery looks at offering statewide raffle
While seeking permission last week to add a fourth game for Wyoming lottery players this year, WyoLotto officials were also looking at offering a statewide raffle.
Right now we're doing research and focus groups on raffles to get an idea of what people think of them, WyoLotto CEO Jon Clontz said.
