It's up to 32 million for tomorrow. Thanks CA for participating MM, so we can see new records down the road. If CA shut down their MM games, we won't see any more records [with carryovers].

Mega Millions set a new 4 roll record for the Aug 9 draw at $41 million. The previous record was $37 million. The 4 roll record for Powerball is $42 million.

The Mega Millions roll record is expected to surpass the Powerball records at the 6 roll level.

As a comparison, The Big Game 4 roll record is $22 million.

    Good luck,
    Jake

I hope that MM keeps rolling and rolling. I hope that MM finally passes the North American Jackpot record at 363 million [annuity] with 1 ticket winning it all taking cash value in CA.

Mega Millions set a new 5 roll record for the Aug 12 draw at $51 million. The previous record was $47 million. The 5 roll record for Powerball is $52 million. In the previous Mega Millions series of jackpot rolls, it took 6 rolls to reach $52 million.

The Mega Millions roll record is expected to surpass the Powerball record at the 6 roll level.

As a comparison, The Big Game 5 roll record is $27 million.

        Good luck,
        Jake

The more states play MM, the higher the jackpot. I'm glad to see CA participating MM without having the lawsuit shut it down. The matrix and more players makes the jackpot continue to grow faster. Although the odds of winning a prize improves from 1 in 43 to 1 in 39.89, the odds of winning a jackpot increases from 1 in 136 million to 1 in 176 million.

            jake:

Is that record with the 5/50+1/36 matrix (the first with the cash option)?

              Cash Only,

Which record are you asking about? I posted about a number of records.

              Good luck,

The second (and last) version of Big Game. The first was 5/50+1/25, annuity-only.

When the North American record jackpot was played in MM, they were playing the 5/50+1/36 format. You were right CASH Only about when teh North American record jackpot record was reached. I hope that MM sets a record until it hits 363+ million and one ticket wins the jackpot in the 5/56+1/46 format.

                      Cash Only,

I do not know. I have combined all the Big Games results and did not differentiate while tracking the record rolls. I could go back through the history and determine but it is not worth the effort.

                      Good luck,
                      Jake

Mega Millions set a new 6 roll record for the Aug 16 draw at $61 million. The previous record was $55 million. The 6 roll record for Powerball is $56.5 million.

The Mega Millions roll record surpassed the Powerball record at the 6 roll level as predicted.

                        Good luck,

One ticket in CA did match all 5 numbers, but missed the MEGA Ball getting only $157K on this draw. Jake, I hope this run of MM can surpass the 363+ million this time and only one ticket wins the jackpot.

If I had won a 363 million dollar Big Game prize and it was annuity only I'd still be friggin' ecstatic. Normally I'd prefer a cash prize but anything that can get me a house and retirement right now is enough for me.

Jake, here's the Mega Millions Jackpot update. On 8/16/05, the MM jackpot was 61 million. On 8/19/05, the MM jackpot was 72 million. On the next MM draw on Tuesday 8/23/05, it will be 84 million. See about these records. Otherwise, if I win, I pick cash.
