I find that kind of odd that all of a sudden we stopped breaking records.  I mean we were quite a few million ahead of previous records.  It will be interesting to see when they start raising the estimates during the week.  Will it be this jackpot or the next one?

A few years back, jackpots of this size drew a lot of attention. Sales increased dramatically and jackpots had large jumps between draws. For example, the Mega Millions jackpot increased $33 million for this draw. Previously the jackpot had jumped as much as $62 million between draws (from $177 to $239).

We are in record territory though for the size of the current Mega Millions jackpot. The cash value of $132 million places this jackpot as the 12th largest jackpot ever. If it rolls again, it will make the top 10.

      Good luck,
      Jake

Mega Millions again did not set a new 15 roll record for the Nov 11 draw at $262 million. The current record is $294 million. The 15 roll record for Powerball is $221.5 million.

The current Mega Millions 15 roll record was set prior to the matrix and odds change. In the previous set of Mega Million rolls, the 15 roll jackpot was $258 million and was won at that level.

At 15, this is the largest number of Mega Millions rolls. The Big Game, though, rolled to a maximum of 19 times. Powernball also rolled a maximum of 19 times.

          Good luck,
          Jake

The low winning numbers resulted in many more low tier winners than normal. This will cause the next jackpot to be larger still. I believe that most people will spend all the money they won on low tier prizes on the next draw.

            Good luck,

Jake649, I hope that MM continues to roll. If no MM winner tonight, then MM will set a new roll record. Also, I hope that MM surpasses the highest North American jackpot record of 363 million and/or 19+ rolls.

Mega Millions set a new 16 roll record for the Nov 15 draw at $310 million. The previous 16 roll record was $160 and was set by The Big Game. The 16 roll record for Powerball is $314.9 million (the Jack W jackpot).

At 16, this is the largest number of Mega Millions rolls. The Big Game, though, rolled to a maximum of 19 times. Powernball also rolled a maximum of 19 times.

                Good luck,
                Jake

There's no way this is going to hit 19 rolls. Even at 18 rolls it would be pushing close to or over 500 with sales covering almost every combination. I think the most it's going to roll is one more time bringing it close or over 400.

Thanks for pointing that out. That is the all-time record. The previous record was $180 million for the May 2000 draw of the Big Game that set the annuity record jackpot of $363 million.

                        Good luck,
                        Jake

I think if it does roll Tuesday, it will only reach about $350 million maybe up to $370 million...not beyond that.

Dance like no one is watching.
