  Well that's the way the cookie crumbles.

  It was improbable for that to happen, but it was a far greater possibility than winning the lottery for whoever won it.

  Improbably, both jackpots were hit this week, one after another.

  I hope that lottery players will look at the bright side of this event:  Improbable events do  occur.

  Prob988, PB Jackpot rolled. Also, PB Jackpot is now the highest jackpot in the USA surpassing the rolling CA SLP. PB Jackpot is currently 60 million.

  CA SLP's cash jackpot may be larger though, because its annuity is paid over 26 years instead of Powerball's 30 years. However, CA SLP's annuity is paid in graduated installments like Powerball's is.
