Pacattack,
This happens all the time here at LP. You talk about one thing, others want to find flaw in something mentioned so they can go into attack mode.
I once was talking about a family who had a well abled son. This son refused to do anything but lay on the couch and order his mother and father around. He was too dang lazy to attend his own mother's funeral. His father continued to wait hand and foot on him. If the father did not fix this overgrown son what he wanted to eat and bring to him, the son would throw it at him. The father recently passed. I just wondered what the fat slob was doing now. For someone reason, there were plenty here who took up for the fat slob. I just hope these people do not have children or grandchildren who turn out like this spoiled fat slob did. Basically he worked his mother and father to death.
Once I went on about tips.. I sure got a big one going there too.. So be careful there are lots of nerves out there. Watch which one you yank.

Again, for the 27th time, I'm gonna write this in big fonts hoping that no part will be missed this time.
This has nothing to do with my financial status. I was COMMENTING on the stingy rich folk.
NOT ABOUT MY LIFE.
GOT IT?
What part of this don't folks here get. I'll be glad to further itemize if it needs be.
For those who have been living in a cave, waitresses get about 2 bucks an hour because they rely on TIPS.
Limo drivers get what they get because they rely on TIPS.
And just in case someone didn't read my posts before they reply about my financial status...once again.....Most of my good tips come from regular people......SO....that means I don't hate my life, or want to go out and get an education, or anything else from a-z that has nothing to do with the price of wontons in China. Iam merely giving an opinion on my experiences.
Alright, I'm wondering how many posts I'm going to read about my lack of ketchup in my fridge, or whether the type of shoes I'm currently wearing has any bearing to this subject.
Maybe someone should suggest that I buy some cool sunglasses. Yeah, that'll make them tip better.
C'mon folks, I know some of you are just itching to bring something totally irrelavent into the picture and twist my words.
Go ahead. Make my day !
My point exactly, 22oz. hammer. More catsup please, but could you also bring me the sirachi phoun guon please, or no tip for you. I need more cowbell baby.
My sister's limo driver has a salary, 401K, health insurance, and paid vacation, he don't need no stinkin' tips. He shows up, says uh-huh and that's it, no muss no fuss.

This is a great reply, fja.
Also, LuckyLilly wrote: Ban the old rich people from playing, and I'd hate to see the dive the jackpot amounts take. Gotta have money going in to have prize money coming out.
I agree. Pac is saying that he sees lots of people in luxury cars buying tickets. Others are saying they should leave some for the "rest of us" (I didn't know the lottery was a charity!) Eliminate the people who "don't really need it" and the lottery wouldn't exist.
Also - by resenting others who have more, old or young, isn't it like being angry at the gorgeous models like Heidi Klum who make millions just because they look good? How about the athletes who make millions every year? Oprah, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Judge Judy and many others spend an hour on TV and make over $30 million a year. Should they share it will us?
Oh, just another comment. Pac, if these folks were really as stingy as you say, why would they pay $60 for a ride up the street to the airport? You keep mentioning Bonita Bay. I worked with a man who has a gorgeous home there. I don't think I've ever known anyone who works harder. He was so proud the day he became a U.S. Citizen too. I also had dinner with a man who started a microchip company who bought a condo there (one of many homes) He came from abject poverty. The developer in NH I've mentioned in past posts (who drove the Ferrari) was so poor his mother would put him & his brothers in bed together in their winter coats, because she couldn't afford heat. He passed way, and I thought of him when I heard John Edwards talking about a working mother who was afraid of losing her children.
By the way, next time you get a call from one of these stingy people, if I give you my number will you please call me? I've always wanted to remain anonymous, but it would cost me $5 or $6 in gas roundtrip, so I'll be happy to drive them to the airport for $50 without a tip. LOL Gosh, 2 or 3 times a day and I'll be a happy camper. Wow, you just gave me an idea, Pac!
Pac, if these folks were really as stingy as you say, why would they pay $60 for a ride up the street to the airport?
See, I don't expect people to understand, because they don't have all the facts.
First of all, Bonita Bay is 40 bucks.
Second, This gestapo airport charges the lowest in the whole state as far as mileage/rate. Still people bitch left and right. They pay 60 bucks because they have to, unless they want to rent a car or park their own car at the airport at 9 bucks a day.
Not only that, most people come from towns and inner cities that are all crunched up together, and a typical cost of a taxi costs around 10 to 30 bucks. They don't realize the distances here in SW florida. You can't walk to the nearest 7-11. Everything is spread apart, for the most part. I know because I was a yellow cab driver in N.Y.C. for 3 years.
Third, I only get half of the fair, and hopefully the tip pays for the gas. Unlike what you think, you don't keep the whole 60 bucks, you keep 30.
Good luck !
But again, you keep repeating the same mantra over and over. I'm not complaining about my job or financial situation, but the stingy rich folk. I've written stingy rich folk like 12 times now.

Sometimes less is better.
Yes, but your sister's limo driver can't take off 2 or 3 times a year whenever the mood hits, and I'm guessing he has to stay straight & sober in case a random drug testing...oh, and he must also pay taxes and social security and have .....uh, an address!
Edit: Wow - I had no idea you get 1/2 of every fare. Then you expect a tip on top of it? Even when I had my haircut at a place where the stylist pays for the chair, she told me not to tip her since she gets the money and it was only $9. I still told her to keep it. I realize the price of fuel has gone up considerably. $40 is not a bad price at all. I didn't realize people split the cost. Any time I took an airport van (and I used to travel all the time) I had to pay the rate no matter how many passengers he picked up unless I asked for a private limousine. So now what you said doesn't make any sense. If someone is only paying $10 or $20 for a ride, why would $5 be a bad tip?

BTW, I can walk to my local 7-11. LOL
Listen Missy, I'm on to you like a fly on shirt. I don't need to live up to your expectations as what an ideal candidate is supposed to be, or any one else's expectations.
Miss all perfect, I got news for you. You've been making allegations that I don't appreciate. Please do not label me....AGAIN, like you did a couple of months ago in a joke. You have this crazy idea that I'm running from the law, selling drugs, don't pay my taxes, and leave when I want to from work. (I don't just leave from work when I want to, if you must really know). And the most pathetic part is when I had to clear my name because of you, by telling everyone that I couldn't have possibly gotten my class "A" CDL license if it were not for a drug test and a backround check. I never thought that I would have to go far as that to clear up smudges left by someone.
And if you reply by saying that you weren't talking about me, your lying through your dentures.
Bring it on Baby !
You're definitely someone who shouldn't talk. a failed insurance saleswoman who made tons of money but for some good reason quit, and now lives next and alongside poor people.
Yeah, I'll take your advice.
There's an old saying that says, never take anyone's advice unless they're doing atleast 10 times better than you.

Pac, I was teasing and was about to delete that last post. Maybe I should always use emoticons. Anyway, you got really defensive when I am only repeating what you've written many times on this board. Honest to God. (the one you don't believe in) You have many, many times said you like drinking lots of beer and many, many times said you like to smoke pot and many, many times said you were working for a buddy who lets you stay in his home. In the 2+ years I've been on this board you've been back & forth from FL to CA and other places. Good for you. Ya know what? It's none of my business! I think you forget half of what you write in threads. Do you want some examples? BTW, you don't have to pee in a cup to get the license.
Oh, and I worked for 21 years before I moved here. I also was the #1 salesperson in the furniture store I worked in that closed. Yes, I got my insurance license and DID NOT fail at all. Where do you get this stuff? I quit my last job because I didn't believe in the product they were selling. I sold over 50 policies in 6 weeks and then got a complaint from a client which I investigated and then reported. I've told people that here many times. Yes, I live on a street with some poorer people who rent apartments. So what? I pay my rent & car payment on time, have great credit and occasionally have to withdraw some savings. In a post on this thread I even said I screwed up a lot in life. I should be making 6 figures and I'm not because of my own personal demons. Still I support myself and I don't blame anyone for my failures except for those who cheated me or stole from me. Good luck with your CDL. I hope you get that job.

I don't think you have enough time. My best estimate, at your current maturity rate currently being displayed on this thread, is about 300-400 years, at the minimum, to achieve some measurable level of maturation.

Yeah...I'll tak e advice from Jarasan.....
Pac Your memory banks are what I call volatile, unstable and definiteley have corruption, they may need replacement, show me (us) where I said that. You must be thinking of some other person who believes in God. I have never made that statement.
I have discussed religion with you before, but you won't answer and ignore the question I have asked you several times, because the answer is inconvienient to your arguments.
I will ask it again: When you die, will you find out whether or not there is a God?
