No one won last night, jackpot went from 60 million to 70 million . an increase of 10 million at $2.00 per ticket

In comparison to MegaMillions, which is now 83 million, the previous Jackpot was 72 million and increase of 11 million at $1.00 per ticket

AND if u do a Cash Option comparision you go home with MORE with Mega millions.

Something is NOT Right hereSad Cheers

Well the sales are down since the new price increase. I think just like always it will increase again at 100 million and then the people with

cobwebs in their wallets will let go of 2 bucks when it hits 200 million. You have to keep in mind that even though the sales by number of tickets are down,

the cost per ticket is higher so they can sell less and still do just fine. I don't think we have to worry about the musl getting a bailout any time soon.

I think the reason sales are slow besides the $2 price is people believe that there are not enough tickets sales for the lottery to let go of the winning numbers. Once the it gets to the 100 million dollar range..sales will pick up. just my opinion.

There were 16mill tickets sold yesterday. Mega had 22mill on tue. No excuse for 10mill PB increases.

but 16Mill ticket sales means $32M in  cash taken , isnt the  % of take  given to  the jackpot %32

              so 32*.32 = 10.24 mill

True, but that's the amount the "cash value" would have increased and the jackpot is based on an annuity of that amount.  At least that's the way it use to be, the new matrix and price may now have different rules.

There's no such things as a free lunch.  Do you think they plan to give somebody that starting jackpot out of their own wallets? The starting jackpot had a cash value of about $24.8 million and they sold just under $33 million worth of tickets. That means that their sales only contributed $10.4 million to the cash they had for paying that jackpot. If somebody had won, MUSL would have had to pony up the extra $14.4 million.

The next drawing added almost $12 million to the cash jackpot, giving them about $22.3 million to pay a cash value prize that had increased to about $31 million.

Total sales through last night's  drawing were about $102 million, so the jackpot prize pool was up to almost $33 million. If they have sales of $40 million for the current drawing they'll add another $12.8 million, giving them about $43.8 million, which is $500 k more than they're advertising. Advertised amounts for subsequent rolls will increase by however much they expect to actually collect. As a guess the next one should be advertised at about $92 million, assuming it rolls.

Is this a joke?  Sales are up.

Instead of, for example, selling a 1,000,000 at $1, they are selling 600,000 tickets at $2.

The first sentence of the post is wrong.

Actually, there is such a thing as a free lunch. We have it here in this country. And the free lunchers are starting to overwhelm those who provide the free lunch.

What there is "no such thing as" is a sustainable free lunch.

That's what the country of Greece is learning the hard way right now.

And it's the same course your President has plotted for us.

The rest of the post seems plausible.
