mcginnin56,

If anyone claimed to have done what you proposed in the OP would you believe them?

Far too many hype artists make wild claims but they are selling the sizzle and not the steak.

There's an old post here on LP about "Steve Player". Someon asked the NH lottery about his claimed wins and the response was not a real person, a corporation, which loses a lot more than it wins.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

First off I would not rush into an immediate judgement without knowing all pertinent facts. Much too often, people react with their emotions,

rather than their intellect and calm reasoning. You might say I'm one of those that see the glass of water half full, not half empty.

This topic was not intended to be inflammatory in nature, but rather a peek into a possibility that would inspire intrigue and wonder, about how

far our prediction skills could push the envelope. Steve Player is most likely a front name for a scheming company, that seeks to defraud naive

people of their hard earned money. I am under no allusions about this.

What has Steve Player got to do with this hypothetical proposal? You are already drawing conclusions and making judgements about something

that has not even happened. I stand by my belief and conviction, that a prediction of this magnitude is most definitely possible!!!   Yes Nod

I have no problem agreeing with you mc,

I stopped over at the predictions page here at LP and brought this over

      • "256,161 predictions for today's drawings"

Lots of people believe in and use the power of predicting and no one really knows the extent of its power or how far a person can go with it.

We really are just scratching the surface when it comes to this ability. The human brain and spirit, have incredible sensory perceptions and powers

that we just do not fully understand and appreciate yet!  Conehead

More like billions of trillions to one I'd think.  Roll Eyes

If there's anyone with enough hubris to believe they can beat those odds, it would be Ronnie.  Then again, he seems to think "frequency" and "odds" are the same thing, so take that into account.

That's not even remotely close to being right. Your later post with 140 zeros comes closer but still falls far short.

I'm not sure how many states have P3 and P4 games, but let's figure there are 50 of each. Right off the bat that gives us 1 in (1000^50 *10,000^50). That's 350 zeros, and we haven't even started on the games with high odds. PB and MM add another 16 zeros, and muliplies it by 3.  As a very rough guess the 5 of n and 6 of n state games will add another 150 zeros. I have no clue about the various foreign games, but when the're all accounted for there are going to be at least 700 zeros. Here's what that looks like in a couple of ways:

              1 in 3,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,

1 in 3 billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion.

And for the record it's absolutely, positively, completely impossible, to an infinite number of decimal places, to predict it. There is, however, an exceedingly slim chance that somebody could guess them all.

                        000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

1 in 3 billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion.

And for the record it's absolutely, positively, completely impossible, to an infinite number of decimal places, to predict it. There is, however, an exceedingly slim chance that somebody could guess them all.

Not the public, the lottery commission people. Trust me, they would all freak. The primary rule in any gambling operation is to protect the game.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I'm with Coin Toss on this one... the lottery commission peeps would FREAK OUT.  and the wins would be tied up in litigation forever.  the person who accomplished this 'unaccomplishable' feat would be lucky to see a dime in their lifetime... because you think LP has conspiracy theorists?

LP has NOTHING on the lottery commission should this ever happen. They would cry foul.  They would cry cheat.  They would do anything and everything they could to NOT pay out.  and they would band together.  and for the masses... it would be better than any circus side-show... for the winner(s) - it would be their own personal version of satan's playground on earth.
