I usually get my best returns when I go to one of 3 places.  There is some stupid liquor store in Costa Mesa where I have won a lot of times for some reason.  I have done the extreme thing too and traveled to 10 different places buying tickets and that usually ends up a wasted trip.  My fiance' did an interesting gift for me two weeks ago.  She bought a brick of the $1,000,000 Fortune ones for me when I was traveling so I would have something to do.  Out of the $500 spent, the ROI was about $340 so not crushing but it still was a loss.  It was actually great for research purposes because at one point there were 3 winning tickets in a row and a large portion of the wins were in the last 10-15 tickets including one $100 winner.  The first 10 tickets were all losers.  Just shows the patterns are crazy.

Yep, and you only need to look at the main scratch results thread, and see all the guys on the east cost spending hundreds on $20 scratch games in one sitting, often getting less than half back. You gotta be able to take some serious pain to play heavy on $20 games.

I tried some during lunch today downtown, 1 ticket each from 3 different stores. Got $20 on 1, other 2 lost. Gee, that's just about the exact hit rate and (horrible) return I should be getting at this level according to the chart. Bang Head

Yeah Jon, I've read most of that main thread. Those East Coast guys (especially Florida) are no joke. I always lamented that we didn't have a $20 ticket but now I'm slightly afraid.

I bought 5 more of the $20 tickets with the winnings from the previous purchase.

      Tickets #2-6: Loss, $20 (1 $20), $20 (Ticket), $20 (Ticket), Loss

I got ticket #6 but it did not turn out to be kind to me.

I actually bought 3 when they came out yesterday.
        $25, free ticket, 0 (#'s 00,1,2)

Today, I went to two supposedly lucky 7-11's and bought 3 at one store and 2 at the other:

        7-11 # 1-- 0,0,0 (#'s 27,28,29-- last ticket in roll)
        7-11 # 2-- $20, free ticket (#'s 9,10)

I got 2 free "believe" shirts thought ;)

How long can it be expected to take for all of the the $10.00 Lucky for Life top prizes to be won?

              Clarrifying my question.

When did tickets for that game first go on sale?

What would be an estimate for how long it will take for all of the top prizes to be won?

Is it completely random when the top prizes are released?

LFL started around 1/25/13. Scratch games typically run from 9-12 months.

They don't always sell out all top prizes before the game is pulled. Sometimes there are many top prizes left unclaimed when a game is pulled. It's a marketing decision. But they sometimes extend and do a re-order on games that sell well and extend the game.

We don't know the exact method of top prize insertion, but I doubt it's completely random.

$10 LFL has 30M tickets and 10 top prizes. Imagine if they left it up to chance and after the first few million tickets went out, all 10 top prizes were found. They they are left with several million tickets unsold and no top prizes left, nobody's gonna buy any more tickets, so the lottery loses big money.

But you don't see that. What you see is relatively consistent intervals between top prize claims, which implies they they are being released in consistent intervals from the warehouse.

Tried some of the $5 Big 6 Bingo:

                  0, tkt, 0, $10

The boxes are so darn tiny, you might as well use a toothpick instead of a coin! Bingo is already the hardest to play, I rarely do. And now you have to hunt and peck through 6 boards instead of 4 boards? Sorry, no thanks. I boycott this game.

Found  a $100 win on the $20 (ticket #002) but that was in a batch of 4 tix so the profit is not that exciting.

Hey guys, just found this site. Seems pretty awesome so I thought I'd join in. Tried out the $20 scratcher yesterday and won $20, bought another one today with no luck. Gonna grab some LFL and maybe another 20 after work, jackpot picture to follow shortly Wink good luck!

Welcome aboard TametheVirus. I'm sure you will be putting up a jackpot pic in no time.

I have tried a $100 experiment with the $20 tix. After winning $20 a couple times and a $100 once, I am down to $20 to play with. Hopefully it's a nice one or else I'm going back to playing lower priced tix with a $20 thrown in only once in a while.

I made my 2nd planned ten ticket purchase of the $20 tickets today. Ended up with the middle end this time.

                            Tickets #10-19: Loss, Loss, Loss, Loss, Loss, $50 (FAST SPOT 50), $20 (1 $20), $20 (Ticket), $20 (1 $20), $20 (2 $10)

First time seeing Five losing tickets followed by Five winning tickets. Still not a profitable return and well below expected ROI, going to try another ten ticket purchase one more time. This game has too much break even prizes, same with 20X Crossword, but I will still go for the $25K prize.
