I went a bit crazy with the $20 ticket last night. Bought 14 of them (016-029) until the end of the roll for $280. Out of all of them I got one winner...for a free ticket...I am disgusted Bang Head

Very unfortunate. It has happened to me a handful of times as someone who buys multiple tickets at a time as I always want the need to see a winning ticket whether if it be a small amount.

As an experiment, I have bought a set of $3 (100) and $5 (80) tickets before, I noticed for each that the winners are usually bunched up in between a streak of losing tickets. I think I only got slightly more than half of what I paid for.

Lesson learned and it didn't hurt as much as it should since I used casino profits. From now on, if I buy $20 tickets it will be one or two max. I miss $5 tickets and will be grinding it out with those for a while.

thats pretty sick that there are rolls with stretches of 1 winner out of 14 for a $20 ticket.

Went for 10 more this morning, similar returns as the other times, more and more break even prizes. For some reason I always end up with the back end of these scratchers.

          Tickets #21 - 29:  Loss, Loss, $20 (2 $10), $25 (1 $25), Loss, $20 (1 $20), $20 (Ticket), $20 (2 $10), Loss

I hit the $1000 mark in terms of expenditures (50+ tickets), but I am well aware of the losses and I am going to slow down considerably after that new 2nd chance promotion is over in mid-November.

Just curious, anyone looking forward to the holiday scratchers?

Usually those have low print amounts and fast end of game date, despite having the same odds. I suppose it would be good for 2nd chance replay chances?

Finally got a $100 on $5M JP, ticket #15, single match. Just bought 1 from a vending machine when I got some chicken and hummus for lunch.

So far still got good 47% hit ratio and decent 74% prize ratio on the game, all single buys.

                Have they annouced them yet?

Most I ever won from those was $200 from a $5 Holiday Riches a few years ago. Last year they skipped the $5 for the Holiday games, so I didn't play any. They seem to focus on the $1 and $2 games for gift tags, etc. We'll see what they do this year.

Back to back Fast Spots and 7 of 11 hits? You're on a roll. Nice!

                    Cheers

Some nice wins on your purchases. I've yet to have a profitable purchase.

As for the holiday scratchers, they usually release them around Halloween. I do not play the $1, $2, or $3 scratchers at all, but for the $5 ones. I know they skipped the $5 one in favor of a Tripling Crossword variant $3 last year, but hopefully it can make a return.

I think are those are the only ones I ever got over 100% ROI, I landed a bunch of $50/$100 winners.

I was told that the $20 ones so far have been a total bust from the place where I have won a lot of money the past 8 months.  They have a ton of lottery traffic. They have said they follow the trends hard and it's worse than what they hated before which was Diamond Millionaire.

They own several liquor stores and dairies and they have yet to see anything over $100 and the retailers they talk to have been less than thrilled with the results.  They had a guy come in the other day who bought 75 $20 tickets and the best he did was a $50 winner.  That's $1,500 invested.

Take it for what it's worth but I always think it's worth a listen because the last time they pushed me to buy off a roll that they expected to hit, I won my $1,000.

Much appreciated for this information. I am sure those places have much credibility as people are supersitious to play where most winners are, e.g. Bluebird Liquor (that is not in Orange County). If the odds of winning $500 are set at 1 in 420, an average of 14 rolls (30 per roll) to get one ticket that has a $500 win. Probably they sold well over that amount.

Ironically I cannot see the reason that Diamond Millionaire is hated, its the same payout structure as the $1 Million Fortune that you won on. I personally liked the $1million fortune/diamond millionaire payout better than the $250mil cash spectacular.

I was planning at least getting 100 tickets (getting there) and then evaluating from there. But the only positive to think about is that the losers are $20 raffle tickets to the 2nd chance draw, even those odds will probably be stacked.

As far as the trends, I checked out the Prizes Claimed chart, its seems roughly 5% of the priize allocation for the lower-tier prizes have been claimed ($20 - $500)

Website claims someone won $25k but its not listed as cliamed, and there is just 4 claimed for $5k and 8 for $1k listed.

At 5% should be an average of 700 $1k winners, and 125 $5k winners, and 42 $25k winners. So something is really off basis.

If there are 14 top prizes, at the 7% mark, the first grand prize winner should be discovered. The $20 game has been out for 2 weeks, so probably next week there will be a lucky $5 million winner.
