Went through another full book of $200MS. $505 back on $600, so, I didn't get beaten up too bad. Still the big fish eludes me.

Also burned nearly another $5 Flamingo book (it was an open roll and someone else had purchased the first two tickets). Still have to double-check, but, if I didn't miss anything it had to be the worst return I've seen yet on a $5 book. $105 back on $290. There must've been something good on those first couple of tickets.

Interestingly, I'm finding Power 8's nowhere. That game is now officially on my radar. I'll request a list of retailers Monday. If there are any in Cape Coral, I'm outta here! Leaving

There's Power 8 at AK Kwik in Gainesville.

Seriously, if there's one down in Cape Coral then it is worth making a drive down there! Wink

How did the rest of those tickets turn out?

Anybody know of anything decent in Marion County? I bought the last 5 50X from Anthony Food Mart last weekend. Is there any 50X or 200MS near here or is it all in Gainesville?

That last Holiday Gifts book was...meh. I'm done playing those for a while. If anyone is interested, AK Kwik had 20 books of Holiday Gifts. Ten of which are in the lower book numbers 20k-60k.

I stopped by Lawtey, and bought both of their 50x the cash books from their food store. I scratched most of the first book, it was pretty bad aside from a $100 winner. I will post detailed results later.

Jacksonville district office still has a good 10 books of 50x. With AK Kwik in Gainesville having 10, we know there's at least 20 out there. Probably most of which are in north fl.

I bought 3 rolls of the $200MS from the AK's in Gainesville. I've been there before and the owners are very nice people. Unfortunately for me, I got murdered on the rolls. The first roll returned $205 (which is the minimum possible), the second roll returned $235 (one $30 winner to stay above the minimum) and the third roll returned $495 (moderately decent - 2 $100 wins and 3 $30 wins).

Still focusing on the $200MS, $10 Holiday Gift and Super Millions but the chase is getting expensive...

Wow, sorry to hear 200MS was rough today. Agreed, the chase  is extremely expensive. I hope you hit something huge soon. Even a $5k or $10k hit would be enough to continue to fund the goal of hunting down the jackpot. Those people at AK Kwik are willing to put books aside for you. If you play any Holiday Books, mention your friend from Jacksonville told you about a box full of books from the 20k-50k range. There's about 10 books that they put aside.

Here are my results from today. At first I thought I got bent over by 50X The Cash based on how poor the first few tickets were. I played alot of random tickets (Super Millions, $20 Flamingo, Florida Cash, and $25 Fortune) - All were duds, except for the $25 Misfortune ironically having back to back winners of $25 and $30.  The results were...meh.

            Book 1 - 50X The Cash (Book # 549,256)

            000- 12 ALL DUDS

            13 - $10

            23 - $10

            30 - $100

            35- $15

            36 - $15

            39 - $15

            41 - $20

            44 - $40

            49- $20

            50- $100

            51 - $10

            52- $10

            55- $15

            57 - $20

            59- $10

            Total return: $400/$600 (Pretty average)

Winners: 15/60 or 1 in 4 (lower than game average)

            Book 2 - 50X The Cash (Book # 597,937)

            2- $15

            3- $20

            4- $20

            8- $20

            18- $50

            21- $20

            22- $10

            23- $15

            24- $10

            30 - $15

            36- $50

            46 -$100

            49 - $10

            51 - $10

            56 -$25

            57 - $15

            Total return: $405

Winners: 15/60 or 1 in 4 (below average, just like last book)

I bought these tickets from Lawtey Food Store (very rural area). It seemed like the type of place a jackpot story would be written about.

            You're either a Gator, or you're Gatorbait!

Biggest winners for the day were $100.

EMTAdam has been eerily quiet.. ..I'm assuming that means he got one of the $10 million prizes on the Fortune game when he went to the district office.

I took my mom to AK's today to show her the display. She was impressed. Picked up a few GridIron tickets and a WOF. Got a 10X for....$1.00 and she won $5 on one of her 4 Gridirons.

                UPDATE ON 200MS:

Went to Sun Foods at University and SE9th in Gainesville. For anyone interested there is currently a 200MS roll going on at number 18. I was very tempted to buy out the roll but was curious if they had anymore in stock before diving in. The manager came in and the clerk referred my question to him. He said after that roll is gone he still has another roll of 200MS AND 50X in stock (there's no 50X currently in display since the 50X roll on display last week was bought out and they filled the empty slot with the 200MS).  Based on that and knowing AK had a bunch in stock, I held off. But Gators, Dracos, McGray, Oldghost, Adam, etc, it seems like these 2 places in Gainesville have the bulk of the 200MS tickets remaining. I told them one of you would probably be in to buy out what they had and that I'd come back if any were left over (but I'd probably end up buying something from AK's stock).

I too am wondering... But, could be any of:

                    A) Busy with family

                    B) Busy house shopping

                    C) skeptic took him away to the VIP scratchers board :P

                    D) Another win, bigger than the previous. Super Millions, perhaps?

Well 200MS sucks. I bought the last roll in Jacksonville, and the return rate was absolutely horrible. I'm done chasing $10 Holiday Gifts/50X, and sure as hell done touching 200MS. I think the lottery personally goes into stores to remove good rolls on scarce games, and ensures that duds/medium returns and the occasional book with a $500 or $1k winner stick around in order to continue to generate revenue. There's too much game manipulation, and distribution bias with the Florida Lottery. The lack of consistency, and transparency is appalling.  I'm done with scratchoff tickets. It has been a fun ten months with uphill and downhill streaks. Thankfully, my recent splurge is only going to be a minor setback. I'm going to stop playing because the lack of big hits just aren't there anymore, and I'd be better off saving. When I first started playing I used to hit $100/$500 often, and even hit $1k twice this year.  I'll still pop in to offer you guys support, but you wont be seeing any pictures/posts from me about buying tickets. I'm going to deposit the "winnings" from this book tomorrow into my bank account.

                      200MS Roll (Book #532,360)

                      3- $20

                      6- $15

                      15- $10

                      17- $10

                      19- $15

                      20- $15

                      32- $20

                      44- $10

                      46- $10

                      48 - $10

                      49- $15

                      53- $10

                      55- $20

                      57- $15

Total return : $195 (WTF) or - $405 from this purchase.

                      14/60 tickets winners . Odds 1 in 4.1 (game odds are 1 in 3.58)

I was thinking after the large dud streaks in the beginning "Oh, maybe the end of the roll will be hot or at least offer have a $100 winner since the odds are 1 in 69 for this game." Not a single winner over $20 from this book. A disgusting return on a $600 investment, perhaps worse than a bad $5 book. Perhaps worse than a $2 book in terms of return percentage. (Okay, the $2 book might be a hyperbole)

@ Zzplay  - Thanks for the update, and glad you and your mom got some returns from AK Kwik today. I appreciate the info, but I think I'm done with scratchoffs. Maybe I will see you around UF sometime when I move to Gville? =)

@ Duckman - For sure, there's tons of police officers camped out on that road. I got my first ticket in my life in Clay County. I think Clay County officers aggressively look to give people tickets because there's nothing else to do.

@ Old Ghost/MrGray-  Hahaha. Adam's probably quiet because he hit another jackpot. Perhaps this time it was the $20 Flamingo.

That is abysmal, Dracos. Sorry to hear it. I'd be doing a surgical triple-check on those tickets just in case. It sounds like that book was the $10 equivalent of the $5 Flamingo I went through yesterday (the duds of which I'm doing my inspection of right now, actually).

I can also understand your frustration. Many times I've dumped chasing to just spend a while (months usually, but have even gone years) buying the occasional $20 longshot before eventually feeling like I need to hunt again. I've been at these things for a very long time.

You know, it's weird, I was thinking of this the other day; I've purchased many complete books of $5 tickets, tons of books of $10s, many of $25s when I was chasing 100X, but I don't recall ever purchasing a full book of $20 tickets. In my head, those are reserved for when I just don't feel like chasing anymore. I'm ready to hang it up again too, but right now I just want to get something out of $200MS for all I've put in. The perpetual thought of the fool gambler, I know. One-and-done again soon.

Also, I've recently built a system for virtual reality and have an HTC Vive sitting here waiting for the last piece of the system (newly released video card) to show up. The card will be here late next week and after that I intend to disappear into VR for a while (I'm developing a kind of training simulator in VR). At that point, I'll only be showing up sporadically as well.

Leaving

I'd be curious to see what the sold % is for Power 8s and The Price is Right. TPIR is in a few places around here, no Power 8s that I've seen, but both have 2 jackpots left. How frequently can the same person request info from FL Lotto without them getting pissy about it?

As I have some rapport with my rep, I do try to limit my requests to once a month or so. Although I will ask for a few things at a time.

The only time I requested info, I did it via email to them not through a rep. I may just request the info since all I really want is the %'s for TPIR and P8 sold.
