I've tried playing a widespread number of games, and still get rekt. Ironically, my single purchases on Lucky $200k/yr for life got me a $40 and $100 win today which helped cushioned (although still down about $250-300 for the day).
That's interesting. Since the book is on number 11 , I assume there are at least 7-8 more winners and 13 losers. I'm tempted to buy further into the roll, but then I have a feeling it will end up being $20 winners max. I've also encountered lots of duds on the 50X and 200MS rolls I encountered today, but I've learned that those can have losing streaks of 12 tickets followed by a $10-$15 break even.
I agree. Although we are able to identify the scarce games based on instant liability reports, and even pinpoint the book numbers a jackpot may appear on, in order to truly hit big you have to either get extremely lucky or have a large amount of capital to finance the chase. The fiscal decision always ends up being bad unless you hit winners above $500 often, or a bigger winner like $5k-$10k to fund the chase.
I'm shocked with all the books you, Gators, myself, and several others have been through without any big wins to show for it. When I started playing the lottery in 2015, I was hitting $400-$500 wins on FL Cash fairly frequently. I also hit $500 on Gold Rush extremely frequently, but now it seems like dud after dud. Maybe a $100 winner tops.
Also, though I don't mean to encourage, on the Super Millions books I played through today, nearly all the winners were on tickets 13-24. There wasn't much at the beginning or the end of the rolls.

That's helpful information.
I think I'll stop by tomorrow and see what ticket number the book is on. I might try a couple, since I encountered that 7 streak of duds in the book.

Based on what we know, I think the 200MS and 50X roll numbers were too high for a jackpot prize. That 200MS has got to be 538-548. The 50X (605-620).
That 621 roll isn't far off. I did the same math we did for 50x, except I did it on FLCash's 1MM prize since there's a lot more book numbers available - and from what I've seen there's a lot more leeway in the book separation than is being accounted for. 616000 is what it was put at, and it quite possibly can be in that range (or may already have been won at that) but being off by 4-5k is possible. Having it exactly within the numbers calculated would be too easy and the algorithm for printing the winners should not be that predictable.

Oldghost is correct about the exact calculation of the numbers. For example, the $200MS is due for a top prize every 25,000 rolls (1,500,000 odds divided by 60 tickets to a roll). However, in order to avoid predictability, the lottery does two things:
The rolls are sequentially numbered but not all roll numbers are used. That is why the $200MS print run goes to 557,000+ rolls despite the fact that only 509,756 rolls were printed. As a side note, they printed an extra 9,756 rolls for the $200MS. They sometimes skip roll numbers such as the following roll sequence: 100,000, 100,001, 100,050, 100,051, 100,052, 100,055, etc. or there are large gaps when the game is reordered. In any event, this adds a little bit of unpredictability because there will not be exactly 25,000 rolls between winners since some of the numbers are skipped which stretches it out a bit.
The top prizes may be one in every 1,500,000 tickets but that is an average. Many times, the lottery may release a top prize after about 1,000,000 tickets and then the next top prize may take 2,000,000 tickets. Overall the average remains the same (1 in 1,500,000) but if they release one prize sooner than its stated odds, they will likely release another top prize later than its stated odds. I've seen this in the $200K L4L and the old $20 Monopoly - the overall average remains about the same, the variance is in early release of a top prize vs later release of a top prize. So if you see top prizes hit very closely together, it may be awhile until another is hit or visa versa.

I get how that's an average, but in both of these games, we're looking at the tail end of the rolls. It seems the flood of extra books the FL Lottery orders tend to end up on the backside of the games, like from 100X where there were 14-15K extra books with no hope of finding a JP winner.
Like for 200MS, I'm assuming the bulk of the 9,756 books were flooded at the end so that when the game dwindled down the odds wouldn't increase in our favor substantially. But this is just an assumption. Adam won KR on rolls 204K which is assumed to be the last jackpot in that game, how high do the KR rolls go up? He also won on 114K? on HG, how far to those rolls go up? There always seems to be a buffer of at least 5-10K books at the tail end from where the last jackpot is won.

If you buy a single ticket, can you find out what roll it came from?
Yes, the book/roll number is on the very back of the ticket (the long middle number). You don't have to buy a ticket, if you ask a retailer they can tell you that information for free. Most retailers wont have a clue what you're talking about, so it helps to have a spare ticket to show them.
Example - 786- 554816 - 5- 019
The number on the left is the game number, the number in the middle is the book number (554.8k), and then ticket number on the right.

Well, went back to Kelly's Kwik Stop and got 5 more Super Millions. Only one $20 winner. The beginning of that roll has been very dry, I'd expect the middle to pick up.
I've been spending way too much lately, so going to take a 2 week to 4 week break from scratchoffs (for real this time).

Well best of luck to you, and anyone else who plays the new tickets tomorrow! I hope you all find some nice wins. I'm sitting this one out.
Also, I encountered 12 duds in the Super Millions roll with only 3 winners ($20, 25, $50). There should be 8 more losers, and 7 more winners in that roll. So if anyone is in the Gville area looking to play Super Millions, maybe you might finish off that roll at Kelly Kwik stop. The odds should be in your favor now after I bought up most of the losers.

Hey Florida crew. I am visiting near Davenport and have played a few but trying not to play too much. I bought a Gold Rush yesterday and got 2 matching spots at $10 a piece to break even. Bought a $10 Flamingo and lost. This morning I got a monopoly and a Fortune. Both again had 2 matching $10 spots for a break even win. Traded those in for a $10 Flamingo and Florida Cash. Both lost. At a Publix bought a Florida Cash and $10 flamingo. The flamingo got a 5x symbol with $2 for another break even. At this point I am sensing the FL player frustration. I got another Florida cash and it won $50. First true win. Bought another Florida Cash and lost and a $5 7s game that won $10. Think I have had enough. I was looking for 50x but have not seen any yet.

goherd, we have some new Monopoly tickets coming out tomorrow. Might be worth grabbing a couple of the $20 ones.

Hi goherd14, based on your small sample that you described, IMO you are actually running pretty well.
As far as odds on the new $20 Monopoly, they still look good on the 1313 page, so holding out hope still:
They're wrong. I just emailed FL Lotto to point out they went live with the odds wrong. The numbers on the FL Rules filing figure out to different - more appropriate - odds.
