OMG they just showed a lottery story on WFTV (abc 9) (Orlando) and they had a MASSIVE amount of scratch-offs ... it looked like a very odd store .. maybe a truck stop .. we need to find out where they filmed

If there are books above 520k it means they reordered more prizes and didn't update the documentation. I haven't been following the exacts of what the roll numbers are, but I would buy above 520k if there are books that are higher as it simply means they reordered prizes which just adds to the end of the game. I could see this happening, but a lottery will usually print that they were reordered which simply adds prizes. Usually this is only done because they messed up with the pooling and they gave away 3 of the 20 top prizes off the front of the game which caused the remaining tickets left to go out of scue with the remaining top prizes which will drop sales. So they'll add more top prizes to close the gap and keep people happy.
Hypothectically if they reordered two prizes:
520+26+26
572k
I'd buy 542k-550k and 569-572k.
Lastly you guys will cause me to drop a couple grand extra on the FL lotto based off of this thread when i go on vacation. I enjoy people who have a passion (or addiction :)) the same as I.
This is great info. I wish all states would release info like they do in TX or that we'd have a color-coded ticket to deduce releases of prints.
The only thing I'll add is it was mentioned that the FL Lottery skips book/roll numbers and don't always start with 1. They go sequentially to the best of my knowledge, but some numbers may never be used. I don't think the 200MS game was ever reordered for more prizes and there's probably a total of around 520,000 rolls like you said with the 4% taken into acct, but there is some method they use where they skip numbers altogether so that we get roll numbers as high as 557K, but there were not 557K rolls printed based on the Instant Liability Report.
The same is true for 50X. A total of 33,120,000 tickets or 552K rolls (and when you add in your 4%) we get close to 574,080 rolls (60 tickets per roll), but the roll numbers go as high as 625K.
This reminds me of something. Can anyone still see Skeptic's $5K win on 200MS from awhile back? The image doesn't show up in the thread (just a blank) but if I remember, I think the roll number was pretty high for the time he won (I don't remember what it was but I do recall it was visible in the picture).

@krissam - congrats on the $500 win. I've only had that happen to me once on the 50X game. Hopefully you will more to come.
@zzplayfaster - looking at skeptic's $5k win won't help because the serial numbers on the front of the ticket for the $200MS game do not reveal the roll number like the more recent games. On a side note, for the $200MS, the 17th and 18th top prizes won were both in 2014. The previously claimed top prizes were in 2013 and earlier. If I had to guess, I'd think the remaining top prize(s) would be in the 540,000 to 549,000 range. The biggest hazard is that a lot of the tickets were probably returned to the headquarters because the game was getting pretty old after 2014 and a lot of newer $10 games were coming out. If one or both prizes were returned in this way, that screws up everything.
@Adam - did you ever buy up AK's $200MS inventory? If so, what were the result?
My final thought:
The FL lottery posted on their website that they are seeking public comments on the lotto procedures, etc over the next month. I am actually going to put together a comprehensive letter which will address the following topics:
The need to reduce the prizes on instant liability reports (and posted prizes on the website) by prizes on rolls returned to the lotto headquarters and deactivated.
End the practice of having distributors remove existing inventory from vendors to put in new tickets. The vendors should be required to sell out tickets on the roll. If the vendor who sold Adam's $2M win had returned the last few tickets on the roll to make room for the new $10 Monopoly game, that top prize would have been deactivated and never won since it was at the end of the roll.
Request that top prizes on the lotto website are reconciled to the instant liability reports by the end of the week so that the website is accurate and current.
If anyone can think of anything else, let me know and I will include it with my comments. I don't know how much weight the comments will be given, but I know that nothing changes if you don't press for change.

gatorsrok:
It's late but I know I had some ideas for this. I saw that media release too. Along with your #1 I'd like them to make a point of recording somewhere, such as in the PDF of the listed winners of grand prizes, that the prize was deactivated/destroyed.
I'd also like them to fully explain what they do with the leftover money from games with unclaimed prizes (primarily with unclaimed grand prizes). As I've mentioned, they've told me they "roll it over into new games." But I don't understand how that is an explanation as each game is created to pay for itself, so rolling money into it does nothing. Another person told me it was used to pay prizes on games that haven't collected enough money yet to pay for the prizes itself. But while this makes a little bit of sense, that money is never actually "used" as the game eventually makes the money it needed to cover itself. Theoretically, if that's what happens, then the prize money from unclaimed prizes is slowly snowballing and growing and only sometimes temporarily decreases.

@Gatorsrok, I did not get a chance to go to AK this week. But, if the weather is nice Saturday I may take a trip up and wipe them out of BOTH 50x and 200ms. So, anyone thats planning to go there and play those, better do so before Saturday.
I took the plunge on some new Monopoly tickets today. Ok.. to be fair, a considerable amount of them... A mix of $10 and $20 tickets. Lost overall, but nothing terrible. A few $100 wins on both dollar amount tickets, several $50 and $40 winners. Was a little miffed at the $20 book I bought having a run of 8 losers... on a $20 ticket... seems very lame that they would allow that to happen when printing them.
But ya... AK Kwik... Saturday.. I believe will be my last BIG splurge on lottery tickets. If I dozier through all of those and dont hit a jackpot, I will be taking a loooooooooong break.

The Monopoly are all 2nd chance right? I've seen 8 losers on a $20 dollar ticket before and it's all a matter of the min payout on the books and the common denominations of which it can fill prizes. I'm guessing you also had a run of 2-3 possibly 4 winners in a row likely a couple 20's and maybe a 40 a or a 50. Very common for this to happen and what you'll notice is that when it prints this many winners in a row it's simulating typically a $100 win or a higher tier win. If you also pay attention to the numbers some games when it goes into this pattern you'll miss all your numbers by 1 which is just par for the course.

That is pretty much exactly what happened with that book. 8 losers, and the last 6 tickets had 5 winners. 20,20,15,30,loser, 50
And a bunch of losers that had winning numbers like...
3,4,5,6, 18,19,39
or
12,14,15,18,28,29,31
Whenever I see the numbers laid out like that, I know its a loser right off the bat.

I remember either oldghost or someone posted few weeks back that they requested FL Lotto about the % of tickets sold for 50X and 200MS...I tried the same but didn't get any reply from FL Lotto....Can anyone try it with their DO or FL Lottery directly?
