What about partial Quick Picks? Combining QPS and SPS.

Either or both are fine, it just a matter personal preferances.

I'll be playing 3 of each for my next 10 draws. I only played QP's in my previous draws and have had (2) 3 out of 6 winners.

Sounds like you plan to be in for a while, you could be returning to Ohio for tickets every three weeks or so.

The last time the Ohio Lottery jackpot was won was back on December 7 2011 when one ticket matched the six main numbers to win a jackpot worth $2.7 million.

Folks have won MM & PB jackpots with greater odds since 2011- whats the deal with the OCL? Perhaps Ohioans have given up trying- what be your theory apart from" They have not figured out the right combination yet!

maybe other games are easier or have better odds, check

For their current jackpot amount, there is no game with better odds to win, albeit, still in the highly improbable range.

Our CA SuperLotto Plus is kinda in the same boat, rolling for a few months.  I'll be allocating my PB money to SLP for the time being.  If I lived in Ohio, I'd be all over OCL.

I'm definitely in it until it's won. My aunt who lives in Columbus will be getting my advance draws for me.

            Exactly.

I sometimes abbreviate my remarks to conserve Todd's band width.

            Otherwise it's all systems go.

I didn't realize Todd had a band with issue. Maybe he needs a band-aid?

Rolling for a few months isn't OCL's problem, it's rolling for a couple of years that discourages local players.  But they would complain if it was won every few months and the jackpot never got higher than a few millions dollars too.

Five of the six numbers were birthdays and still no winner. Just how long will this roll?

                    Exactly.

This is the "milling around" phase.

Everything is getting ready to fall into place.

There are no guarantees, the winning combination looked like a combination that someone might had played but no one did.  The payout was normal so I'm guessing the number of tickets sold was too.  Ohio lottery players generally aren't paying an particular attention to this game, it's only the ones that looking for the best odds of winning a $60M+ jackpot.  Players from neighboring states probably don't think the drive to Ohio to buy tickets is worth the trouble.

That's it right there. When you have a game where it's hardly ever won, then people hardly ever want to play. Ohioans seem to have OCL fatigue.

Sales for last Ohio Classic Lotto draw were lower than both PB and MM, even though odds are better and JP is higher:

                          GameJPSales
                          OCL$68.1M~$400K
                          PB$40M$632K
                          MM$59M$757K

Compare that to California SuperLotto Plus, which had higher sales than either PB or MM, when JP was higher or comparable and odds are better:

                          GameJPSales
                          SLP$55M$3.83M
                          PB$40M$2.35M
                          MM$59M$2.62M

                            Precisely.

And tonight's drawing will be the 30th since the last time all Birthday Numbers were drawn.

Within the past year it's only gone longer than that once, which was 44 drawings after 9/11.

Since then, it's gone from a low of one drawing apart to a high of 18 drawings apart for an average of about 8 drawings apart.

The forecast is for Birthday Numbers and I am seeing silly Birthday Numbers, very silly ones, partially sequential and primarily low, nothing above 23.

                            Smoke Birthday Numbers my friend.

Light 'em up if ya got 'em.

I think that was true even before MM and PB was available in Ohio which was one the reasons Ohio decided to sell them in state.  After seeing all the Ohio cars at places selling lottery tickets across the boarder, it was a no brainier.
