Yup!  I just saw the announcement of the October C4L Promo on The NY Lottery's website....

My bad!  My apologies to the NY Lottery for bad mouthing them.  G5

I don't know how well the C4L promo is workin' out for the NY Lottery.

I got two free tickets yesterday, but the number of winners this morning is about the same as it always is - 51,000.  I would think we'd see more, but the promo is still young.  It runs all through October.  G5

So I did my partial QP with 4 and 55:

        04 19 55 57 58   02

I did 5 draws instead of 8. I also received something unexpected.

        I hope I win something.

        Good luck.

        3rd draw with 04 19 55 57 58   02

C'mon lottery gods, hook me up with prize level 4 for a nice $500 payout.

I want to buy this Singleton Glendullan whisky I see on the back of a Golf magazine.

        Thanks in advance.

        Good luck tonight everyone.

Well, ya had one number Sam.

I had #58 and The Cash Ball...good for $2.00 bucks...

I don't drink, so I don't want no stinkin' whiskey.  But I do want my DNA tested!  Which is gonna cost me $200, so I too want a nice $500 payout, but maybe my health insurance will pay for it.

See, I watch CNBC, and I saw the CEO of the DNA testing company being interviewed. So I figured I better find out where all my ancestors came from.  And the DNA testing company's website says they'll tell me about lots of medical conditions too.  Things like male pattern baldness. (but I already know I aint got that)

          Anyways.... G5

Anybody still playing C4L?  I've been playing, but haven't won a dime lately.

I've been studying the numbers, and I can tell you this game is a lot different in terms of the way the numbers behave as compared to other games.

I checked the results for June 16th of 2014 to June 15th of 2015, and saw the hit leader (#43) had 18 hits. I then checked the calendar year of 2015, and saw that #47 lead the way with 18 hits.  So that led me to believe the hit leader for any given 12 month period should have 17 or 18 hits.

Then I started checking different 12 month periods (for example 11/1/14 to 10/31/15) and my 18 hits per year theory started to fade away fast.  For instance, from 10/1/15 until 9/29/16, #'s 4 and 55 have 15 hits. Year to date in 2016, both of those numbers are in the lead with 12 hits each, but I have to wonder if either one of them will make it to 18 hits in 2016.  I say that because there are 22 C4L drawings left in 2016. Either one of them needs 6 more hits to get to 18, but to hit 6 times in 22 drawings is asking for a lot.  That's a 27% hit rate which is which is sky high.  There are 104 C4L drawings in one years time, so if the hit leader hits 18 times in one year, that's a 17% hit rate.  Which I say is normal based upon what I've seen with other games.

Compare C4L to NY's Take5 a 5/39 game.....  In Take5, year in and year out, we see a hit leader with 60 hits per year.  That's a 17% hit rate.  In fact, if you checked other states 5/39 games (as I have) you'd see a hit leader with 60 hits.

As of today, C4L #'s 4 and 55 are running at about a 15% hit rate.  If that stays constant, then I'd expect those two numbers to hit 16 times this year. They're both still worth playing from now until 12/31/16, but I don't understand why we're not seeing a hit rate of 17% for either of them.  If they were hitting at 17%, then they'd each have 14 hits which would give them a much easier/excellent shot at making it to 18 hits in 2016.  Time is gonna tell what will happen , but this game is one tough SOB to figure out! G5

I'm confused by your post.  You wrote "usually falls daily" but C4L is a twice weekly game.

I do recognize many of the numbers you've posted as being big hitters.  But I also noticed that a number such as 43 which has the most hits over the life of the game (it's appeared in 33 of the 244 C4L drawings) isn't included.  Is there a reason why you didn't include it?  G5

IM SORRY...I meant to say, they falls when ever the next draw occurs,,MY APOLOGY...as for as 43..yes u are right it has appeared a lot, but my number list are for all states that has this game..so the numbers aren't just for your state, so i had to make a rational overall decision for the sake of all.

                      OK!  Gotcha!  Thanks.

Makes sense... not every state that offers C4L has had 244 drawings like New York and New Jersey have.

I'm still gonna play #4 tonite.  It's got 12 hits in 2016 and that's the most of all 60 numbers.  (actually #55 has 12 hits too, and it came out 4 drawing ago so I'll probably play it tonite too.)

I cant figure out if the biggest hitter of 2016 will have 18 hits or not.  I've seen where in a years time the biggest hitter has had 18 hits, but if #4 stays on the pace it's been on, it wont make it to 18.  But it will probably hit 16 times, so to me, that makes it worth playing in every drawing from now until December 31st.

I look at it this way... if I keep playing #4 and it hits, that's a "free number".  That means I only have to match four numbers to have all five. (There's an18,542 to 1 chance of matching just four numbers, down from 7.3 million to 1 to match all five) and I'd win $52,000 a year for life.  I'd take that.  G5

Well, I played both #4 and #55 tonite and won $12 bucks.  I had the 4/55 pair on one ticket three times..

But the tough part is I had a boatload of "one-off's" tonite. I would have won another $12 bucks on my other ticket if I played #16 instead of #17.

Both #4 and #55 jumped into the lead for the number of hits in 2016 with 13 each. G5

In The PICK5 Forum (NY Take5 Thread) I've written about numbers getting hot and remaining hot for long/extended periods of time.  (Take5's #17 has been hot for the last six years)

The same can be said for cold numbers.  C4L's coldest number is #42 having been drawn just five times over the life of the game. (In NY/NJ there have been 245 C4L drawings)  #42 was the last "virgin number" to be drawn in the 120th C4L drawing held on August 6, 2015.  (#42 was first drawn on 8/6/2015 - the other 59 numbers had been drawn at least once prior to that date.)

So #42 started out life as a "cold" C4L number, and it's still cold almost 27 months after C4L began in NY/NJ in June of 2014.  It's my belief that it will never "get hot" during the rest of my days on this planet.  (Now, I'm not young, but I'm not in my 70's either!)  Maybe I've got 20 years to live, if I'm lucky!  And I DO wanna be lucky and win a C4L second prize of $52,000 a year for the rest of my life.  Except that if I do get that lucky, I'm not cashing the ticket.  I'll have my wife sign the back of it so hopefully she'll still be collecting that 52 grand a year long after I've gone to that Big Gamblin' Casino In The Sky. G5

Oh yeah!  I forgot... the point of this post was; don't play #42.

Back on Sept 27th in this forum, I wrote:

If you play #04 or #55 on every line you play from now until December 31st, your odds of winning a 2nd prize of $1,000 a week for life improve from 7,282,016 to 1 to 1 in 18,542 - if #04 or #55 is actually drawn.  That's because you'll need match only four more winning numbers drawn from a field of 59 numbers to win $1,000 a week for life.

                            Here's something else I should have put in that post;

If you play #04 or #55 on every one of your lines, your odds of winning a 3 of 5 (no Cash Ball) prize of $25.00 are reduced from 490 to 1 from 1 in 350.  And to win a $10.00 prize (2 of 5 and The Cash Ball) your odds are reduced from 1 in 83 to1 in 20.

1 in 20... that's why I won twelve dollars last nite.  It isn't all that hard to win small prizes in this game. G5

                              $4 bucks. I'll take it.

                              I'm subbing 04 19 55 57 58  02 again.

I'll do it for 8 draws this time.
