At this point, I'll take anything.

Yeah like $30 mil & up.

Interpreted differently : l want others to use their money while building the jackpot up so when it hits my benchmark- then l play. Is my assumption correct Money?

Haha yes indeed I figure the jackpot is going to rollover regardless and if someone happens to hit jackpot before it hits my mark or i've before i've even thought to play then i'll still be happy for him/her but I will have the urge to play the starting jackpot

2nd place is the First loser. But it's a loser that wins.Big Smile

Either way I see it as i will more likely than not be putting myself in the runnings for that good ol' second prize 5 of 5 pretty often.. I couldn't complain.. It looks like more times than not the 5 of 5 is collected by 1 or 2 people sometimes more across the states

I play Illinois Lotto (6/52 game) and Lucky Day Lotto (5/45) every draw no matter what jackpot is

I play Mega or PB once jackpot crosses $150M or so

Its hard to justify spending $$$ on Mega/Powerball every draw given the bleak odds. Its especially hard to justify playing Powerball at $2 a line

That's a nice number but realistically u never know what the jackpot will be.. i wonder what the lowest jackpot collected by one person was recently.. I believe it was around the powerball frenzy a bit after a guy claimed a jackpot that was fairly low for a mega prize somwhere in the upper $20 millions I believe

There's a couple of answers here that, personally, I really like purely from a moral perspective. To each their very own but, in my opinion, you can never tell when it just might be your time to win. A truly avid player probably doesn't care what the jackpot is because they know that any amount is surely to be substantially waaaaay more than they could ever earn. That said, thirty million before OR after taxes is gonna get the job more than done for Lucky Loser. I had that habit of waiting around for the pot to hit a couple hundred million only to find that I was still matching or not matching the same way. Are the odds really that much better once the jackpot grows and more people play? Or, is it just a mathematical myth that someone HAS to match at some point due to several hundred million tickets sold? I don't know, man...I've seen it get so high along with high expectations of a winner only to see so many disappointed and depressed people here posting on how it's 'rigged' to only certain states or otherwise.

My thoughts on this are the same as they were back in 2012 when I also probed people's minds much like noisegate is doing here on this topic. I'm perplexed on how much it seems to take for a person to be content in the event of a win. Here are some views from 2012 on the same thing:

No, I'd be thrilled to win any significant amount.  Even a 5+0 without Powerplay would be awesome!

Does it have to be a specific amount before you would even consider playing a dollar or more? Or are you in " for a penny or a pound" as the saying goes?  Does she have to be a redhead/ brunette or does he have to have blue eyes/ tanned before you would even think of going out on a date. ..so to speak. You get my drift.

Have a good day & upcoming weekend People.
