Advancing a Letter in the Ranks.

Ok. I'm not really advancing a letter in the ranks. In addition to my RA duty, I will be subbing as an SA (Do you get the joke now? Yeah. It was crappy.). I did my whole 3 hours of training today. It was fun. Once I turn in the paperwork, I'm on the list.

Death In The Family.

I woke up with a call from my dad saying my aunt Lorraine died of cancer last night. The family has been expecting it for some time.

It Was Fun While It Lasted.

Me and Leslie are no more. There was another guy that wanted her, and she got conflicted, and I told her that if she would be happy with him, then she should go for him. We're still gonna be friends though. But the two more important things are: 1. I'm back on the market. 2. Every time I've broken up with a girl,, a sweet lottery win follows. Maybe I'll hit the Mega Millions on Tuesday.

What's Been Going On

I was on duty this past weekend. 4 writeups. 3 for alcohol (one involving a person unlawfuly entering a room). The person who entered the room also was not happy with the fact that he was written up, and let me know it. Also, my bulletin board was vandalized (I have a good feeling it was the same person.). On the plus side, I recieved an award for one of my programs. "The LGBT Game" recieved the award for outstanding educational program for a floor section at the East Green Social on Sunday.

One Number Away

Unfortunately I did not see the results on TV, so after I was done helping the Japanese students, I returned to my room to check my tickets. I looked at one of my plays happened to match 4 of 5 on the Rolling Cash 5 for $300. Sure enough, the number I missed was on the next play. Oh well. I'll take my $300.

OPIE Students.

I returned to OU a day early to help out the OPIE (Ohio Program for Intensive English) students from Japan. A few of them could speak little English, so it was a small problem, but they understood what I was saying. As my partner and I were helping one of the students visit a friend in Johnson Hall, which (unlike most of the dorms) uses locks that can only be unlocked by a swipe card. Well, they found out what happens when you leave the door open for too long. The alarm went off, and OUPD was called. I called OUPD to let them know that it was an accident, and their presence was not needed, but it was rather funny. I really hope they didn't pick up the English I used (the "S" word), and repeat it at their other events.

Uncle Boobs.

Monday, while I was getting a haircut at my sister's work, she mentioned to me something about my aunt Angela (normerly uncle Bob, hence the title of this entry.) and a lot of money. I thought it would be her ex-wife's inheritance since she has cancer and doesn't have long to live. I found out that back when aunt Angela was uncle Bob, he worked for a software company that paid him in stock. Since then that company took off. Aunt Angela sold that stock and came out with approx. $14 million. Not long after my 21st birthday back in February, she apologized for forgettng about my birthday (She's rich now. It's ok.), and said that whatever I wanted, she would buy me. Well, I figured that was within limits, so I asked for a DVD, which she bought me, and had shipped to my dorm room. Anyway, now that I found out she's filthy stinking rich, I should have asked for more. Anyway, my family is taking bets as to how long before uncle boobs pisses it all away. Since there's talk of early retirement, me and my mom are guessing 5 years. I wonder if uncle boobs has stock in other companies. Anyway, she's already bought an expensive car, and there's probably more to come.

Finals Period is Over With

Well, finals week is over with. I think I did ok, but I have a feeling my teachers may tell me to think again. I debated reminding a few teachers that examinations are not just assesments of how well I too in the knowledge, but assesments of how well they taught the material, and the fact that if they try and give me a bad grade, it makes them look bad, as well as the chance that I'll have them again. Anyway, I get paid Friday, and not a moment too soon. It's suposedly going to be bigger than prevous checks, so I'll have more money with which to go to the bar Friday afternoon. I also plan on eating each one of my meals tomorrow from one of the various resturaunts in Athens. Saturday I head home for spring break, which will be a nice relaxer for me, other than my hearing test Wednesday (I'm appearantely going deaf.).

Complex Program

I just got done writing the report for the complex program. Myself and 4 other RAs in the Washington/Bush Complex held a midnight breakfast to give the residents a niced study break from finals. We expected 50 people to show up. We had closer to 150 people show up. Fortunately I was behind the scenes doing cooking. We ran out of food, so two other RAs went to Wal-Mart to get more food. It was hell. The residents made a huge mess of the Washington lobby. All in all, it was an incredibly successful program though.

Intelligence.

Back on Thursday, I got results from psychological tests (I was getting testst for a learning disability.). It turned out that I did not have any learning disability. In fact, the test said I learned quicker than the average person. They also showed that my intelligence is in the 98th percentile of people in America. There is only 2% of people in America more intelligent than me. I'm eligible for MENSA! Woot!

I Think I Got In.

I got an e-mail, inviting me to go to an NRHH event, and I remember applying for the organization, but it did not say whether or not I got in. For those who are unaware (Most of you), NRHH stands for National Residence Hall Honorary. It contains the top 1% of all residence hall leaders.

Eventful Weekend.

I had quite the eventful week. Tuesday night, someone thoght it would be funny to slant a bcket full of water against my door. They knocked, I opened, and I think you can guess what happened next. Wednesday, two of my residents were kickboxing in the hall. I called OUPD. The little SOBs managed to talk their way out of trouble somehow. I had a nice talk with them about how they cannot do whatever they want because they are not home. Later that night, I was on duty, and me and the other RA on duty smelled that familiar smell on the first floor. Sure enough it was reefer. We called OUPD. They came and took care of everything. I got permission to have last night off, so I took out everything left in my bank account, and went to the bar. It felt nice, even though I can't remember what I had and how much I had. I then went to Leslie's room and spent the night there.

I Got My Speakers.

I got my speakers today, and the entertainment center is complete. It's gonna be so sweet when I play a video or DVD or even my PS2 because I have optimum sound now. All I need to do to make it better is a bigger TV, but that can wait. I'm happy with what I have.
