It was an ugly day today, as my hot streak came to a screeching halt.  It was a $25 loss.

The KACHING meter for December 26, 2008:  26.1

I thought I should update my biggest winners in each ticket category list while I'm doing this.....

$20:  $100 ($50 + $20 + 3 x $10) on GA Lottery 15th Anniversary Millionaire Extravaganza -- July 2008

$10:  3 $100 winners (1st and 3rd were 5 x $10 + 10 x $5 via firecracker "win all" and the 2nd was 4 x Bill $5) on Cash Explosion -- 1st and 2nd in Feb. 2008 and the 3rd in May 2008

$5:  $60 (15 x $4 via truck "win all") on $250,000 Cash -- May 2008

$3:  $45 (Double Bill $15 + $9 + $6) on Strike It Rich 2009 -- December 2008

$2:  2 $100 winners (1st was $50 + $30 + $20 bonus box and 2nd was 10 x $10 via bill "win all") on Mad Money and Stocking Stuffer respectively -- July 2004 and November 2008 respectively

$1:  $100 (Jumbo $20) on Junior Jumbo Bucks -- April 2005

$0.50:  $40 (381 box) on Cash 3 -- October 2008

I've got 10 $0.50 plays of various types for Cash 3 tonight, so that loss for today could change for better (hopefully) or worse.

Until next time, may you have better luck on scratchers than I did today. Smile

A very merry Christmas indeed...

Everyone in my family knows about my luck on scratcher tickets......so that's what most of them got me.  I hit quite a few winners......

....including this nice one. Big Grin

That was the best one of the bunch.....that $30 winner.  I hit a few other cash winners and some free tickets which I'll recap in tomorrow's KACHING Report. Smile

Until next time, may you have a very merry Christmas today and may your gift tickets win you a bunch of dough. Big Smile

Entry #82

Merry Christmas to all...

.....and to all a good night (and day)!!!!

When I wake up in the morning, I'M GETTING A CATSCAN!!! Razz

Ya know.......in the past few weeks, I've come up with a spoof of the Jingle Bells song.....

Jingle Bells, Jumbo Bucks, money all the way!  Oh what fun it is to win on a lottery ticket.....HEY!  Jingle Bells, Jumbo Bucks, money all the way!  Oh what fun it is to win on a lottery ticket!

I'm having trouble coming up with something lottery-related that spoofs the Jingle Bells song after that particular part.  That's why you've never seen more than that. Razz

Anyway, enough of my craziness.  May everyone have a safe and merry Christmas (or whatever you celebrate this time of year if you don't celebrate Christmas) and a happy new year! Smile

Entry #81

If you find this in a game of poker...

.....then someone's stacked the deck in their favor........like I did with this ticket earlier today. Big Grin  Prior to this, I also hit $20 (Flower $2) on a $3 Lotto South Cash ticket.

I also hit a back pair for $25 on Cash 3 Sunday night, which made me pretty happy. Big Smile

Until next time, may your Cash 3/Pick 3 numbers and scratchers combine hits and wins for some big moolah. Smile

Entry #80

I completely forgot about something...

I forgot about a picture of Miss Kitty I took a couple of months ago.....

At the time this picture was taken, Miss Kitty was getting very moody about where she wanted to lay down and be lazy.  On this particular day, she went into my mom's bedroom, plopped down on a pillow, and decided to get comfortable and do nothing but purr.  My stepdad kept having to move her out of the way because she would lay down on his pillow right before he went to bed.

Until next time, may you win some nice moolah on your tickets. Smile

I didn't think I could pull it off 3 Saturdays in a row...

.....but I did. Big Grin

I managed my biggest win on those $5 $500,000 Hold 'Em Poker tickets today at the tobacco mart.  I spent $20 total and hit that nice $50 winner.  Here was the order of the tickets that I bought.......free ticket, free ticket, dud, dud, free ticket, dud, then the $50 winner.  Each time I hit a free ticket, I used it to get the next one in line.

The other tickets you see were bought at a package store on the way home (spent $20.....lost $14* on that one).

*as of right now....I'll explain next

I decided to try Cash 3 again for tonight's drawing.  I've got 10 $0.50 plays of various types and numbers using the "keyhole" system -- 18X front pair, 17X front pair, 413 straight, 31X front pair, 031 box, X72 back pair, 02X front pair, X42 back pair, 893 box, and 448 box.  If any of them hit, it'll be at least $25 (for the front or back pair).

Well, until next time, may your scratchers and numbers games net you some big dough. Smile

Entry #78

I think it may be time...

.....for me to get back into playing Cash 3 again.

I've combined 2 systems and 1 program and I've been getting somewhat decent results.  Over the past week, I've been keeping track of the Cash 3 evening results in GA using that professor rundown system that Shawn67 posted, using JADELottery's Pick 3/4 Selector, and the "keyhole" system that was explained in more detail (because it confused me when I read the original thread for it) by Shawn67.

I've been using Microsoft Excel to do all of this.  I'll show you some of the hits that I've seen.....

Sunday:

The keyhole system and Jade's program were the only stuff that hit....in the form of back pairs.

Jade

The program generated 6-3-9 which hit with the X39 back pair.

Keyhole

Keyhole hit with the same X39 back pair like this.....

1 6 7
6 3 9
8 8 2
7 5 0
9 4 4

Monday:

Some nice hits with the professor rundown and the keyhole systems.

Professor

Everything hit on the "plus" side....

0 3 4

1 5 7

2 7 0

031 hit straight, box, and the front/back pairs.

Keyhole

X31 hit back pair.....

5 3 9

1 6 7

6 3 9

8 8 2

7 5 0

Tuesday:

Keyhole had the only hit with front pair.

0 3 1

5 3 9

1 6 7

6 3 9

8 8 2

Wednesday:

The professor rundown "minus" side had the back pair hit.

4 3 6

3 2 5

2 1 4

Thursday:

No hits.

Tonight (Friday):

Keyhole does it again with the whole kit and kaboodle.

1 2 7

4 4 3

9 8 1

0 3 1

5 3 9

Here's what I'm thinking about doing........$5 worth of plays each day (or each day that I work....if I have time before work to get them) in the form of 10 $0.50 plays (whether straight, box, front pair, or back pair).  Now....determining which system to play (or how I'd do a "mix and match"-type scenario) and how I'd play each particular number.......I'll have to decide on that shortly.

I have a feeling things are starting to look up. Smile

Until next time, may whatever system you use for your pick 3 game win you some nice dough. Big Grin

Note to future lottery drawing hosts...

.....if something goes wrong during the drawing, be sure that the red light above the camera is off and you know you're off the air before you show your frustration.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQg2ENNN1Hw

John Crow, host of the Mega Millions drawings (and the GA Lottery drawings......the set they use now for Mega Millions is just a small part of the current GA Lottery set (the right side I think....)), isn't too happy after the TV graphics for the drawn numbers decide they don't want to be cooperative (I've had that happen to me before when I did some TV work in a high school video production class.......which had a live news program).

I found it kinda funny, myself. Razz

About bloody time...

I've seen the ads on the terminals here in GA for them.......but just now thought about posting this.

I would have thought they woulda done this by now.  At the top of the terminal, I saw the ad for a new game coming soon with the biggest payout percentage in GA history.

The ticket.......

Millionaire Jumbo Bucks (a $20 Jumbo) with a $2.5 Million grand prize Hurray!

I hope to see one thing on these new $20 Jumbos that I haven't seen on the $20 tickets since they started them with the $500 Million club.....odds better than 3 (e.g. something like the $10 Jumbo Jumbo Bucks.....1 in 2.56 or something around that).  Every $20 ticket in GA has had worse odds than the $10 Jumbos ($500 Million Club was 3.02 and the current Millionaire Extravaganza is 3.11).  I will be trying at least one of these when they come out, no matter what the odds.  (They aren't good for slow playing, though......because $20 a pop will break you quick if you don't hit a winner that makes you at least your dough back. Wink )

But.....it's about bloody time we get a $20 Jumbo here in GA.

Until next time, may you hit JUMBO or some other famously good multiplier or win all symbol on your scratchers. Smile

The Final Jeopardy answer for today is...

[cue up Final Jeopardy clue "pop up" sound]

By spending $10 slow playing tickets, hitting nothing but duds so far, and having a lady buy 2 of the same kind while you're slow playing and walking out, and you taking another $2 to buy ticket #55, the next ticket in line, you'll have this.

[insert Jeopardy think music]

If you have the question "What is a $48 winner?", you'd be correct. Big Grin

The tobacco mart didn't have the new $1 Triple Win tickets, so I started off my slow playing with the new tickets that they did have....the $2 Aces & 8s.  I had bought my 5th one (having not won a thing off the 1st ones) when a lady came in, bought a carton of smokes, and asked what I was playing.  I showed her and we chatted for a few seconds....and I mentioned that I had won $50 last week from this very tobacco mart.  She looked at the ticket I was playing again and then asked the cashier for 2 of them.  I then scratched mine off as she was walking out of the store.  It was another dud, so I pulled out 2 $1 bills and asked for another one.  I scratched off the prizes (after scratching the validation numbers at the bottom first) and noticed an unusual pattern of prizes.  I saw 2 $1s on previous tickets thinking I had a winner when it actually wasn't.  However.....I saw 4 $10s on the ticket and had a very good feeling.  I scratched off the stuff above the prizes and discovered the 8s above the 2 $10s in the top row and immediately said out loud to myself "I've got a $48 winner!".....and I was right after scratching off the bottom row of stuff.

I still had some dough left in my wallet, so, after eating lunch, I went to a package store on the way back home.  I saw that they had both of the new tickets, so I bought some of each.  I spent $13 and bought 4 of the Aces & 8s and bought 5 of the $1 Triple Win tickets.  I included the only winners from that bunch in this picture.......and it was a very nice winner indeed on the $1 Triple Win. Smile

I never thought I'd hit 2 very nice winners within a couple of hours of each other like I did today with the $48 and $21 winners.

My my.....this is 2 Saturdays in a row that I've hit some big ones.

Until next time, may you hit some nice winners for some nice moolah. Big Smile

Still no luck with the Cash 3 stuff...

All I had using that professor rundown thing that Shawn67 posted was a couple of front or back pair hits.  I didn't have anything with the Jade Pick 3/4 selector numbers.

I'm going to wait until the stars start aligning again with these 2 programs before I go back to playing Cash 3 on a regular basis again.  It seems like when I try to capitalize on a working system on the numbers games, lady luck pulls the rug out from under me. Razz

I do plan on slow playing tomorrow at that tobacco mart......hopefully I'll get another nice winner or 2 tomorrow. Big Grin (plus, I'll have the chance to slow play the new $1 and $2 tickets that we have in GA.....providing they have them)

I may look into other systems that are posted here at LP as long as they don't seem too complicated.  The reason why I chose Jade's program and that professor rundown system was because they sound very simple to do.  Even though I can be good at math, I don't find myself very good at extremely complex calculations (e.g. square roots, root sums, and all that stuff).

Until next time, may you hit your numbers games and scratchers for some nice moolah.  I'm going to go back to watching some COPS........this one I'm watching is an episode where people who don't cooperate with a police officer's instructions get a "shocking" reality check (note the word in quotes to see what I'm talking about). The KACHING Report 12/12 (yes, a little early) + small change to method of playing...

I'm going to go ahead and post my KACHING Report since I don't plan on buying any scratchers tomorrow.

Saturday's slow playing (I'll talk about my change to this later in this post):

2 free tickets and $6 (3 x $2) on 3 $1 Quick 6

$8 ($8) on $5 $500,000 Player's Club

Free ticket and $50 ($5 + 15 x $3 via gold bar "win all") back-to-back on 2 $5 $500,000 Riches

Overall, it was a very nice $45 profit.

Tuesday:

$3 (3 x $1) on $1 Quick 6s

$3 ($3) and 2 free tickets on 3 $2 Stocking Stuffer

$3 and a free Win For Life quick pick (3 x $1 + WFL) on $2 Instant Win For Life

$2 (2 x $1) on $1 Holiday Cash

It was a $6 loss.

Wednesday:

$5 (Ace $2 + $1) and a free ticket back-to-back on 2 $2 Aces & 8s

$2 (3 of 6) on Win For Life (it was the free quick pick that I had on the Instant Win For Life)

It was a $3 profit that day*.

The KACHING Meter for December 12, 2008 (*assuming my Mega Millions doesn't win tomorrow night):  9.6

If I win anything on my Mega Millions tomorrow night, it'll be added to this week's KACHING Meter since the ticket was purchased this week (on Wednesday).

Ok, now a small change to something I call "slow playing" (sometimes jumbled together.....depends on my mood Razz ).

Actually.......I was asked a few blog posts ago "What is slow playing?"  I'll go over the (lengthy) details first, then I'll talk about the changes that I used last week which paid off with that $50 winner in my previous blog post which I wouldn't have hit had I been using my previous method.

Number/symbol match (e.g. "Match your number to the winning number(s), win prize shown."):

What I do with these types of games is that I scratch off the "your numbers" first (but not the prizes):

If all numbers are unique and there are no special symbols present on the ticket:

I will scratch off all the prizes (being careful not to uncover the validation letters in the event it's a winner of $19 or less (different states do the validation letters differently -- GA does validation letters up to $19 and random letters with $20 or higher and duds))).  After the prizes are revealed, I'll then reveal the "winning numbers" to see if I have a winner.

If there are duplicate numbers in the "your numbers" area and/or special symbols are present:

I'll reveal the "winning numbers" first, then I'll scratch off the prizes of any numbers that DO NOT match.  Once those are out of the way and I'm done keeping myself in suspense over what I've won, I'll then scratch off the prizes of the matching numbers (or special symbol) and see what I won.

If it's the type of "winning number match" ticket that contains a "win all" symbol and I get a "win all" symbol:

I'll reveal the rest of the "your numbers" (if the "win all" symbol isn't the last item), then I'll reveal the "winning numbers" (even though it doesn't matter what they are at this point).  Once all that is revealed, I'll then reveal the prizes.

Special symbol games (e.g. "Get a Bill symbol, win prize under that symbol.  Get a Moneybag symbol, win 5 times the prize.  Get a Truck symbol, win all 15 prizes.")

First, all prizes on the ticket are revealed.  Then, all the information above the prizes are revealed.  It's that simple.

Games where you get something like 3 matching symbols in a single game and win prize shown for that game.

For these types of games (see the $1 Holiday Cash from the Georgia Lottery), I'll scratch off the first symbol in each game.  Next, I'll scratch off the prizes.  After that, I'll scratch off the 2nd symbol in each game (again, as with all games, being careful not to reveal the validation letters as to not spoil a possible win).  If a game doesn't have 2 matching symbols, I'll go ahead and scratch off the 3rd symbol (since it wouldn't be a winner in the example of the $1 Holiday Cash unless it's a candy cane for $25).  After this, I'll scratch off the 3rd symbol in each game and see if I have a winner.

I have no special methods of slow playing "extended play" games, such as bingo and crossword games.  These take long enough to scratch off as it is (at least, it's that way for me anyway).

Ok, now that I've probably put you to sleep......when you wake up, here's the changes I've made to my slow playing process.....

1.  I will play the same ticket until I hit a cash winner (even if it's a breakeven cash winner).  If I hit a free ticket, I'll get another ticket of that particular game and roll.  This is different from the past, where I'd switch to another kind of ticket (or another roll of the same game (if available) if it's a game I like to play) at the first winner, whether it was a cash winner or a free ticket.

2.  I scratch off the validation numbers at the bottom of the ticket before I scratch anything else.  This is just to add a few seconds to the slow playing.  That's the only purpose of this particular change to my slow playing.

I piloted this change during my slow playing session last Saturday.  As I mentioned earlier, had I not did this, I would not have hit that $50 winner in my previous blog post.  I also decided to do this after hitting the "free ticket, $100, free ticket" trifecta a couple of weekends ago on the $2 Stocking Stuffer tickets (although I wasn't slow playing then).  It does make me wonder how many nice winners I've possibly passed up from chickening out of the roll when I hit a free ticket.

Until next time, may you hit nothing but nice winners on your tickets. Smile

As famed sports commentator Dick Enberg (I think) would say...

......"OH MY!" Big Grin

I hit this $50 winner when I was slowplaying at that tobacco mart.  I wasn't in there very long and had only spent a few bucks when I nailed this big one.  Naturally, after I hit this one, I decided to quit and endure some boring shopping. Wink

Until next time, may you hit nothing but multipliers and win alls for some big money. Smile
