Florida LLC revealed to have claimed $1.6 billion Mega Millions lottery jackpot
As for me, I'm leaning towards the actual winner being the doctor in Jacksonville. How did his name appear on The Jackpot Winners and Retailer Information Report that the Florida Lottery puts out on their website? Because the Florida Lottery screwed up and accidentally put it on their report. Where did The Florida Lottery get the doctor's name and address? From the doctor himself because he claimed the ticket. And then the Jacksonville TV station reporters that saw the same report that I

Florida winner of $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot steps forward to claim prize
I'm confused. The news article above says that the Florida Lottery did not reveal whether or not the winner chose the lump sum cash option or the annuity. Yet their website has a Jackpot Winners and Retailer Information Report on it showing the winner took the cash option. Here's a link to it. https://www.flalottery.com/exptkt/MegaMillions_Jackpot_Retailer_Info.pdf What's up with that? In addition to claiming anonymously I hope they hired a lawyer to claim it for them via a trust or

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
@Oldghost - To further clarify context for anyone who is reading/lurking...yes, good points for anyone considering playing either of those two games. By no means am I trying to assert that folks should senselessly/compulsively play these games. As you've pointed out, there are a ton of unknown variables here. I would personally rather take a shot at a $1 game or $2 game with $500k and $1M top prizes (pretaxes of course) over the typical $5k - $10k and $50k-$100k top prizes. Also, to expand o

Although there aren't many jackpot winners with JPT, you really are better off playing it than FF5. All JPT jackpot winners have won at least multi hundred thousand dollar jackpots. Some have won more than a million. FF5 winners don't win greater than $100,000 all that often. If you look at the FF5 top prize and retailer information report, you'll notice that more often than not, the jackpot payout is less than $100,000. In addition, there has never been a JPT jackpot split equally among

Iowa man claims largest Lotto America jackpot at $40 million
Lottery winner claims biggest Lotto America prize in history Includes video report By Kate Northrop An Iowa man claimed the largest Lotto America jackpot in the game's history a prize of $40.03 million. Earl Lape, of Dubuque, is the winner of the biggest Lotto America prize ever, and despite thinking it was just an April Fool's prank, it was no joke. On Monday, Lape was greeted with confetti, fanfare, and a warm welcome from Iowa Lottery staff upon his arrival at Lottery head

Florida woman sentenced to prison after altering and stealing lottery tickets
Former cashier caught stealing a scratch-off ticket worth $20,000 By Kate Northrop A Florida woman was convicted for altering lottery tickets and stealing ones she knew were winners, including a ticket worth $20,000. A Florida Lottery retailer realized that something was amiss when they discovered micro-scratches present on $50 and $10 scratch-off tickets last June, putting an end to one of their employees' schemes. Christine Nicole Fenton-Gilbert, 39, is no longer employed at th

I tested out a playslip by marking 'B' and got two tickets. One for the midday and one for the evening draw for that particular day. I would think if you had marked 'B' and advance play you'd have received a total of ten tickets - five for the midday and five for the evening draws. Cant see them putting both draws on the same ticket. Never gave it a second worth of thought, but I bet you're right MsBee. 555 is definitely a marketing ploy on the name of the game. And you're also correct

Just for laughs I decided to look back at the number of hits for the last 730 drawings. (That's how many FF5 drawings per year there will be after they convert to two draws per day) Numbers 12 and 15 had 118 hits each. Not very surprising to me.... #12 has 61 hits in the last 365 draws and #15 had 55. So under the new format the hottest number of the year will end the year with about 120 hits and you'll probably be able to know what the hot number of the year will be by the end of May.

Anyone here an Idaho Scratch off player?
Idaho has the best rate of return for any scratch-off set of games in the nation. Currently, there is a $10 ticket called Blazin Bingo that is 99.62% sold out with a single $100,000.00 top prize out there. My rough back-of-the-envelope math says that there are 1500ish tickets left out of 406,670 total tickets. I don't generally play scratchers till they are 97% sold out and in this case, I waited till they were 97.5% sold out. Now that being said I did take a couple of days off and drove around
