Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
I tend to agree with you a bit. I think some people wanna do the tip thing to make themselves feel good or like the big shot and deep down could care less about the clerk. It's just stroking their own ego a bit. Sort of the same way I feel with a couple of exceptions.

Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
the only way that i would tip the store clerk is if that clerk gave me a winning number and i won from it. other than that i just see it as them doing the job that they are paid to do.

Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
I buy my lottery tickets at several places where I also buy other things. I don't tip the clerks when I'm not buying lottery tickets so I don't when I do. For example I buy tickets when I buy gas and a tank of gas can easily amount to $65 and I might buy $15 worth of lottery tickets too' and I can't see me tipping the clerk in that situation. I figure the cost of service is included in the price.

Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
I am a regular at the store where I buy my numbers. When I win big, I tip my clerk. She gives me tips on what hot numbers are being played. If it's almost draw-break she wave for me to bring my numbers up to the front so she can run them and I get back in line and wait my turn to pay. When she is busy in the back and see me she will open up a register and take my tickets. Sometimes I will buy a number for her if I think it is coming. When I win I will hand her a few dollars to buy her lunch or

Giving Tips.
Most everyone who come to LP are looking for a tip that might give them an edge. Some even claim to be winning more because of what they've learned but I wouldn't call that cheating. If a clerk can tell when a roll of scarch-offs might be due to payout a big prize then the lottery isn't doing a good job of printing the winning tickets in a random fashion. I doubt is a clerk would have that kind of information and still be working as a clerk instead of the owner.

Giving Tips.
It seems as if people will give somebody on the street money and then that person will buy alcohol and or cigarettes with it, but if they win they won't tip the clerk, they like best to give money to drunks or to those addicted to cigarettes or even other drugs. Well, it is their money so.

Lottery winners giving away money.
i'm quite certain that i'd feel comfortable giving away one-percent of the gross prize to the person who sold me the ticket. what's one-percent going to matter anyway? i'm certainly not a philanthropist...but i'd just feel better doing this knowing that if it was a 10M Powerball win i'd be giving the store clerk the equivalent of a match 5 white on a PB ticket. if i win 10M ...i'd say they should get 100 thousand. if it was a $100M PB win...would i really miss the 1% or 1M that i'd give the pe

Lottery winners giving away money.
i agree that playing a set of numbers (or a number of sets if the jkpt is over a certain level) is basically all a person can do. choosing sets using whatever formula one desires and occasionally combining them with quick-picks seems to work well. beyond that...if and when one of those sets hits is beyond our control. but i always keep reminding myself (as basic as it sounds) that no matter what numbers might be on my ticket... all of the numbers are sitting in the drawing machine and all these

How much should a store clerk be tipped for selling a big winning ticket?
Assuming that you mean by the purchaser/customer...A simple thank you should do it. The clerk did their job...Just as if they sold me a bag of chips. I'd be more motivated to tip the guy that offered to hold the door, pump my gas or clean my rims. They don't have a job description to reference. Of course, with a kind gesture in return...NEVER cash. They won't get the opportunity to snort, inhale, inject or swallow my money! Clerks don't work for tips...As far as I know. What the GA lottery do

How much should a store clerk be tipped for selling a big winning ticket?
Anyone here know that tip is an acronym for to insure promptness? I'll give one example, I live in a rural area and usually play at one of two grocery stores. Both stores do their lotto at the customer service counter which also does money orders, Western Union, etc.... At one store the clerk knows who the lottery players are and when people are busy filling out their Western Union paperwork she asks the players what they want for lotto. Deserving of a tip? I'd say so.
